1. [Jining City, Shandong Province] Mr. Duan Zuyong Sentenced to One Year in Prison

Mr. Duan Zuyong’s home was ransacked by police after his wife was arrested because of distributing Falun Gong informational flyers. His wife was released later because of a physical condition. When Mr. Duan tried to get back the captured personal belongings, he was arrested and sent to Jining City Detention Center. After being detained for eight months, he was sentenced to one year in prison and sent to Shandong Men’s Prison on November 3, 2020.

2. [Langfang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Xiangrong and Ms. Liu Naifen Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Zhang Xiangrong was sentenced to two years in prison and fined 1000 yuan on August 21, 2020. She appealed her case. Her original verdict was upheld in Langfang Intermediate Court on September 29, 2020. 

Ms. Liu Naifen, 79, was sentenced to one year and a half house arrest and fined 1000 yuan on August 21, 2020. Five police from Anci District Court came to Ms. Liu’s home on November 12, 2020, and took her to have a virus test and medical exam. She was sent to Bazhou Detention Center the next day but was rejected for not passing the physical exam. She was taken back home by her family.

3. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Four Practitioners Facing Trial

Five people from Wanggang Town of Nangang District including Ms. Yu Ping, Ms. Feng Shuhuan, Ms. Wu Guibo, Ms. Dai Shihua, and Ms. Dai Shiling (non-practitioner), will be tried in No. 2 Detention Center via online video on the morning of November 24, 2020.

4. [Chongqing] Ms. Yang Qin Facing Indictment 

Ms. Yang Qin from Tongliang District was arrested on May 13, 2020, because of distributing the truth-clarifying materials. Her home was ransacked and the police took away multiple items including two computers, three printers, truth-clarifying materials, Dafa books, a photo of Falun Gong founder, 4000 yuan of bills with the truth-clarifying words, etc. She was sent to Hechuan Detention Center the next day but was rejected because of high blood pressure. She was released on bail pending trial. 

She was called to the domestic security division office on November 11, 2020, and was interrogated again. Her case was then sent to Tongliang District Procuratorate. She was informed to show up in the procuratorate on November 16, 2020.

5. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Sun Xuerong Harassed

Ms. Sun Xuerong is a practitioner in Dongliangzhuang Village of Meichang Town in the Wuqing District. She was harassed at home by the village director and the village accountant on the afternoon of October 26, 2020. They asked if she still practiced Falun Gong. She was called to the village office the next morning. The township officers were there. She was ordered to sign the so-called “three statements” renouncing Falun Gong, which she refused. 

She was harassed at home again on November 3 by the village accountant and the officers from 610 Office. They tried again to force her to sign the statement. 

6. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Mr. Zhu Zhaoshui and Ms. Sun Limei Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Zhu Zhaoshui and Ms. Sun Limei were both sentenced to three and a half years in prison. 

7. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners Facing Trial

The case of Ms. Li Suxian, Ms. Xu Yanping, and Ms. Zuo Ying was transferred from Xiangyang District Procuratorate to Xiangyang District Court on November 12, 2020. Three practitioners are facing a trial soon.

8. [Penglai City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Liu Nan Harassed

Liu Nan (gender unknown) was called to the school leader’s office on November 9, 2020, while at work in Penglai Normal University. Liu Nan was ordered to sign the so-called “three statements,” which Liu refused to do.

9. [Beijing] Ms. Liu Suqin Facing Trial

Ms. Liy Suqin was arrested at home on September 29, 2020, by two police officers Jia Lijie and Zhang Liangyuan from Shengli Police Station of Shunyi District. She was under formal arrest by Shunyi District Procuratorate on October 22, 2020. Her case was transferred to Shunyi District Court on November 10, 2020. 

10. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Dengfang Harassed

The director of the local community, instructed by the members from both city and district Political and Legal Affairs Committees, found the husband of Ms. Wang Dengfang (non-practitioner) and ordered him to sign the so-called “guarantee statement” on behalf of his wife. He was threatened after he refused to. 

11. [Jiuquan City, Gansu Province] Four Practitioners Harassed

Ms. Qing Shixiu and Ms. Liu Suping from Suzhou District were harassed on November 5 and November 6, 2020, respectively, by the staff from the local community and the Political and Legal Affairs Committees. They were ordered to sign the so-called “guarantee statement”. Ms. Liu Suping didn’t cooperate with them.

Ms. Ru Huiqin and Ms. Xu Lixia from Suzhou District were also harassed at the beginning of November 2020.

12. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Jiang Wanchen and Family Harassed

Recently, the practitioners in Jinhua Street Community in the Chaoyang District were called to bring their household registration and ID cards to the community office for the census. The father of Ms. Jiang Wanchen, who is 80 years old, was called multiple times, demanding that Ms. Jiang Wanchen contact the community office, which greatly stressed the old man.

13. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Zhongsheng Arrested

Mr. Wang Zhongsheng is currently detained in Fushun City Detention Center. 

14. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Jiang Arrested

Ms. Jiang from Longfeng District was arrested on November 17, 2020, by the police from Longfeng District Police Department when clarifying the truth at Shuniu Station.

15. [Shifang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wang Jirong Harassed

Ms. Wang Jirong from Xinjian Village of Majing Town, Yinfeng District, was harassed at home by the village officer on October 28, 2020. She was told to sign the so-called “three statements”, which she refused.

Ms. Wang was harassed at home again around 11 a.m., October 30, 2020, by a dozen people from Majing town government, the town police station, 610 office, and the political and legal affairs committee. When Ms. Wang refused to sign the three statements, they grabbed her hand and put her fingerprint on the statement by force. 

16. [Tieling City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Siqin Harassed

Ms. Li Siqin was harassed on November 16, 2020, by Liu Gang, director of Yucai Community in Qinghe District, and the deputy director surnamed Cai. The police demanded that she sign the so-called three statements, which she firmly refused.

17. [Jiaozhou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Liu Jinliang Harassed

Mr. Liu Jinliang from Diaojialing Village was harassed at home on November 1, 2020, by the officers from Duchun Police Station. The police tried to force Mr. Liu to give up his practice of Falun Gong, which Mr. Liu refused. They searched his home and took away more than 40 Dafa books.

18. [Anhua County, Hunan Province] Ms. Han Yanli Detained

Ms. Han Yanli is currently detained in Yiyang City Detention Center. 

19. [Fengcheng City, Liaoning Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Four practitioners including Ms. Sun Xifeng, Heping (gender unknown), Ms. Yan, and Ms. Jiao, were arrested on the morning of November 16, 2020.

20. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Guofen Detained

Ms. Wang Guofen was arrested at home around 6 a.m., November 17, 2020, by the officers from Tuanjie Police Station in Jiutai District. She is detained in Jiutai Detention House under 7-day detention.

21. [Deyang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Luo Qingyu Harassed

Ms. Luo Qingyu lives in her daughter’s home in Xiangyang Village of Bailong Town. Recently four people from the town government and the town police station came to her daughter’s home multiple times to harass her. They demanded Ms. Luo to sign the so-called guarantee statement, which she refused. They then tried to force her daughter to sign the statement.

22. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Yuzhen Harassed

Ms. Liu Yuzhen from Haigang District was arrested at noon on November 13, 2020, when she was distributing the truth-clarifying materials in Longxi Yuyuan Community. She was sent to the police station in the Northern Industrial Park by the security guards of the community. She was under 15-day detention. 

23. [Haiyang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Fengxian Arrested

Mr. Wang Fengxian was arrested on November 10, 2020, when he was distributing the truth-clarifying materials. His home was ransacked. More than 3000 QR code cards and a computer were taken away. He is currently detained in Qixia Detention Center. 

24. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Luo Guizhen Facing Trial

Ms. Luo Guizhen is going to be tried in Chuanshan District Court on November 19, 2020.

25. [Pingding County, Shanxi Province] Ms. Kang Wenmei Harassed

Ms. Kang Wenmei was harassed at home on the afternoon of October 20, 2020, by Wang Yinhua, head of Pingding County Domestic Security Division, and the officers from the town Political and Legal Affairs Committee, and the staff from the local community. They took video and photographs of her home, and demanded that she sign the statement promising to give up the practice of Falun Gong. 

26. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Wang Xitian Arrested 

Wang Xitian (gender unknown) is a practitioner in Changzhuang Village of Miaoshan Town of Laiwu District. Wang Xitian was arrested by the police from Zibo City on November 11, 2020. Wang’s home was ransacked.

27. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Cui Faces Indictment 

Ms. Zhang Cui from Ganjingzi District was sent to Yaojia Detention Center after one month of quarantine in Wafangdian Detention Center. She is detained in the crowded cell with more than 21 detainees. 

Hu Tongjun from Ganjingzi District Procuratorate, met Ms. Zhang Cai in the detention center on November 13, 2020. Her case is at the stage of review and prosecution.

28. [Shifang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Xiao Jiying Harassed

Ms. Xiao Jiying was harassed at home on November 12, 2020, and November 13, 2020, by six people who were led by Liu Wei, director of Yinfeng Township Political and Legal Affairs Committee in Majing Town. They demanded that she sign the statement promising not to practice Falun Gong, which she refused.

29. [Shenmu City, Shaanxi Province] Three Practitioners Harassed

Mr. Hu Zhonghou was harassed at home on the afternoon of November 10, 2020, by four people from Yingbin Road Residential Office. Mr. Hu Zhonghou tried to clarify the truth to them and they left hurriedly.

Mr. Li Shiyi was harassed at home on the afternoon of November 10, 2020, by a dozen people including the director from Yingbin Road Residential Office with the excuse of the census. They tried to pursue him to give up the practice of Falun Gong.

Mr. Li Zhiqiang and his children received multiple calls from Zhonglou Police Station and Zhonglou Residential Office on November 10, 2020, requesting to meet Mr. Li at his home. Mr. Li didn’t agree with them coming to his home. Instead, he went to Zhonglou Police Station on November 11, 2020, to meet them.

30. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Five Practitioners Harassed

The practitioners Ms. Yu Suxia, Ms. Chen Suyun, Ms. Hao Liping, Lu Yurong (gender unknown), and Ms. Meng Sulan are from Mutoudeng Town of Qinglong County. They were harassed at home by the town officers and the local police and were demanded to sign a “guaranteed statement.” Some were tricked into signing on the blank paper. 

31. [Beijing] Ms. Fu Xiuqin Harassed

Ms. Fu Xiuqin, 66, was arrested by officers from Sanjiadian Police Station for clarifying the truth and was released on bail pending trial on July 15, 2020. She has been harassed at home multiple times since the day after. People from Jinding Street Police Station and the local residential committee office kept coming to her home to harass the family, which frightened her family members so much that one of them had a heart attack. 

32. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Wu Yanqing Arrested

Ms. Wu Yanqing, 70, was arrested at home around 11 p.m. on November 16, 2020, by Haizhu District Police Department officers. She was forcefully taken away and her whereabouts is unknown.

33. [Yuzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Liao Xiangye Arrested

Ms. Liao Xiangye was arrested on the way to the workplace on November 10, 2020, by the police from Yuzhou City Domestic Security Division and from Xicheng Police Station, who were led by Luo Dongjun, director of the Yuzhou City Domestic Security Division. They searched Ms. Liao’s workplace and only found a few bills with information about Falun Gong printed on them.

Ms. Liao Xiangye was taken to the police department for interrogation and was going to be detained for 15 days. Because of the high blood pressure, Ms. Liao was rejected in the detention house and was released around 6 p.m., November 11, 2020.

34. [Fengcheng City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Tried in Court

Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Ju Shimiao, Ms. Sun Zhongqin, and Ms. Tong Xiuhong had a court hearing on November 17, 2020. Two lawyers pleaded not guilty. Mr. Ju Shimiao was sent to Kuandian for quarantine, and Ms. Tong Xiuhong was allowed to go home. 

35. [Deyang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. He Yan Harassed

Ms. He Yan (52 years old) is a teacher in Beijie Primary School, Jingyang District. She was called to the principal’s office on October 30, 2020, and ordered to sign the statement promising not to practice Falun Gong, which she refused to do.

She was harassed on November 6, 2020, by Chen Wen, director of Donghu Residential Office and the officers from Kaijiang Road Police Station. She was ordered to sign the so-called guaranteed statement, which she refused to do.

36. [Duchang County, Jiangxi Province] Mr. Jiang Xiaohua Harassed 

Mr. Jiang Xiaohua was harassed on the morning of November 17, 2020, by Zhan Yuanpeng from Duchang County Police Department, and Xu Cao and Yu Xianjin, deputy of Duchang Education Bureau. Mr. Jiang was demanded to sign the “three statements”, which he refused.

37. [Tianjin] Ms. Wu Wanming Harassed 

Ms. Wu Wanming was tricked into coming to Dagang Street Residential office with the excuse of the census at 9 a.m., November 11, 2020. After she refused to sign the “three statements”, she was sent to Dagang Board Factory Police Station and was forced to press the fingerprint on the paper. She didn’t come back home until 5 p.m.. 

38. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Xiaohong Arrested

Ms. Xiaohong from Lvyuan District was arrested by the officers from Puyang Street Police Station on November 17, 2020. Her home was ransacked and all Dafa books and related items were taken away.

39. [Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Three practitioners from the 857 Farm including Fu Lianhua, Xu Rongshi, and Guo Shufen, (three practitioners’ genders are unknown) were arrested on November 16, 2020, for informing people about the persecution of Falun Gong at the market. Their homes were ransacked by a dozen policemen from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. that day. The computers, a cell phone, and Dafa books were taken away. Three of them were sent to Jixi City Detention Center on November 17, 2020. 

40. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Yajun and Ms. Liu Zhiyan Arrested

Ms. Wang Yajun and Ms. Liu Zhiyan from Jiutai District were arrested on November 15, 2020, by Jiujiao Police Station officrs in the Jiutai District for raising awareness about Falun Gong. They have been released.

41. [Linfen City, Shanxi Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Wei Xuejun, Lu Jie (gender unknown), and Ms. Guo Fenglian had their phones tapped and were followed by officers from the Yaodu District Police Department. They were all arrested around 10 p.m., May 3, 2020, including Mr. Wei Xuejun’s son who is not a practitioner. Their homes were ransacked. Dafa books, computers, and cell phones, including the ones used by the non-practitioner family members, were taken away. Lu Jie’s bank book with 200,000 yuan in it for his/her son’s wedding was also taken. 

Mr. Wei Xuejun and Lu Jie were released on bail pending trial on the evening of May 4, 2020. 

42. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yang Arrested

Ms. Yang (around 70 years old) from Pujiang District was taken away by the officers from Shou’an Police Station on November 9, 2020, when she was distributing the truth-clarifying materials. Her whereabouts is unknown. 

43. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Xu Jing Harassed

Ms. Xu Jing was harassed at home by two staff members from the local community and was requested to sign a “guaranteed statement”, which she refused. Then, two police officers from Gongyuan Road Police Station in Hulan District came to her home at noon on November 13, 2020. They forced her husband to sign the statement on behalf of Ms. Xu. 

44. [Lianjiang City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Chen Binggui Harassed

The brother-in-law of Mr. Chen Binggui received a harassment call on November 17, 2020, from Chengbei Police Station pressuring Mr. Chen to sign a “guaranteed statement”.
