(Minghui.org) Since July 2020, the Qidong County Political and Legal Affairs Committee (PLAC) has been carrying out the new nationwide “zero-out” campaign to target every Falun Gong practitioner on the government’s blacklist in attempts to force them to renounce their belief.
Most recently, one day in November 2020, a coordinated harassment of many practitioners took place at the same time. Police and village officials broke into practitioner's homes, took pictures everywhere, and then tried to force them to sign statements to renounce Falun Gong.
Mr. Tang Bingsheng said to the officials, “I practice Falun Gong to keep myself healthy and fit. I didn't do anything bad and just want to be a good person. Do you want to turn a good person into a bad one? I won't sign the statement! And you can't take picture without my permission.”
Ms. Tan Cuixiu, who works out of town, received a phone call from her hometown village, asking, “Do you still practice Falun Gong?”
“Sure. Why should I stop? Falun Gong is great.”
“Can you come back home?” the officer asked. But Ms. Tan firmly refused.
On the same evening, a few officers broke into Ms. Zhou Huali's store while she was out. The officers called Ms. Zhou and asked her if she still practiced Falun Gong. Ms. Zhou said nothing could stop her from following Falun Gong's principles to be a good person. The officers then told her to go to her store to take a picture of her. After Ms. Zhou refused, the officers tried to take pictures of her employees, but they also refused.
Two days later, three PLAC agents went to Ms. Jiang Meiying’s home. They took a lot of pictures of her as soon as they entered her home.
Ms. Jiang said, “You can't take pictures of me!” They also told Ms. Jiang to sign a statement to renounce Falun Gong, but she refused.
They said angrily, “Let's go. There are nine more practitioners to visit.”
