(Minghui.org) The coronavirus epidemic is spreading throughout China and the world. In China, the lock-downs are happening everywhere -- in provinces, cities, villages, roads, or residential communities. The awful atmosphere is seen and felt everywhere. I couldn’t help but think of Master’s words, “People will feel close to whomever they come across.” (“What if a Dafa Disciple”, Collected Fa Teachings, Vol XI)
Every Practitioner Knows What to Do
Looking up, a banner pasted on an electric pole was colorful and bright in the sun, displaying the words “Sincerely saying ‘Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good’ can safeguard your life when the plague arrives.” The banner added a sense of vitality to the dead street. Glancing at a car on the side of the road, a Minghui journal lay quietly under the wipers, waiting for the owner to pick it up. The scene gave me a feeling of comfort – our fellow practitioners have been busy. After hearing about the epidemic and knowing that sentient beings are facing disaster, every practitioner knows what to do.
Before the Chinese New Year, after hearing news that Wuhan was locked down because of the coronavirus epidemic, two local senior practitioners printed several hundred banners and distributed them to fellow practitioners. The practitioners posted the banners day and night on the big streets and small lanes. Some practitioners also put together the banners by hand, and went to the countryside to post them. Practitioners cooperated in a timely manner and successively published the leaflets and periodicals that we urgently needed.
Some of us met to discuss the situation, and felt that we should hurry and enter the residential communities to let the life-saving truth be known to the people who were usually too busy to listen. Now they stay at home and have time to read. We should send the truth-clarifying materials to them. In order not to waste resources, we assigned the different areas to different practitioners. Acting immediately, the fellow practitioners drove to the neighboring county on the same day to purchase supplies. With Master’s blessing, it went well.
Distributing Truth-clarifying Materials
At that time, the principle of “mutual generation and mutual inhibition” in the old universe began to play a role. The old forces did not want us to save more people and caused us trouble. Next day, the lock-down regulations were implemented more strictly in the whole county. The roads were locked down, as well as the residential communities.
One practitioner had been preparing truth-clarifying materials for the residential communities for an entire day. His wife told him that everyone must register from now on when entering or exiting different communities. This practitioner was not moved and continued working on the task. After a while, his wife told him about another notice that was sent via cell phone – every household was only allowed one person to go out for shopping. He just smiled and didn’t say anything. He said to himself, “I don't acknowledge this.”
After dinner, he went out with a pocketful of truth-clarifying materials. Driving to a residential community, he parked his car outside the gate. Carrying his bag, he went inside a building as if he was returning home. Originally, he just wanted to distribute the materials in one building, but then decided to finish them all. He went back to his car to pick up more materials when he ran out. After a while, he finished distributing in that community. He came back to his own residential community and distributed the leftover materials, which he didn’t plan to do originally. When he got home, he was soaked in sweat and very tired, but he was very happy.
Sending Righteous Thoughts
A more than 70-year-old practitioner, her daughter, and daughter-in-law are all practitioners. Her home is a distribution site for truth-clarifying materials. She was going to pick up some supplies in a community with her tricycle. Her daughter-in-law said that the tricycles were not allowed in the community any more. When she hesitated, her daughter said, “Mom, just go. No one dares to stop you. We are running low on supplies.”
Her righteous thoughts were strong. “You are right. No one dares to stop me.” She drove the tricycle to the community. When she was approaching the gate, the guard was talking to someone with his back facing her. She drove in through the gate. After she picked up the supplies and drove out, the guard was trying to block pedestrians, again with the back facing her, and she could leave without any problem.
Her daughter attained Dafa after July 20, 1999 when the CCP started to persecute Falun Gong. She is a simple person and has a good understanding of the Fa. When the epidemic occurred, her husband didn’t want her to go out with the excuse of their child's safety. She was anxious, but didn’t want to argue with her husband. She stayed at home and recited Dafa, especially the following paragraph,
“It is not permitted if you go do things simply because everyday people consider them right. When everyday people say that it is good, it may not necessarily be good. When everyday people say that it is bad, it may not necessarily be bad., either. In an era when moral standards have been distorted, if you tell someone that he is doing something bad, he won’t even believe it! As a cultivator, you must assess things in accordance with the characteristic of the universe. Only then can you distinguish what is genuinely good and what is truly bad.” (Lecture Four, Zhuan Falun)
She realized that she was a practitioner, and should not follow what ordinary people said. She thought her husband’s fear of the epidemic might be due to her own fear. She sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil factors behind her husband and the fears in herself.
When she felt that she was ready, she prepared the truth-clarifying materials and walked out of the home. Her husband didn’t say anything and pretended as if he didn’t see her going out. With the other practitioner sending righteous thoughts, she went to a residential community with one hand carrying a cabbage and another hand with a bag of truth-clarifying materials. At the gate of the community, she took the body temperature measurement naturally and made the registration like others. She went to three building units, with 18 floors in each unit, to distribute the materials. As she did, she kept saying in her mind, "Dafa's Master sent his disciple to save you. You must read the materials to be saved!”
When she was on the 16th floor in the third unit, she saw a young man doing the exercises. He was surprised to see her and said, “Are you climbing all the way up?”. She smiled and continued to climb up. When she came down, the young man was still there and asked her whether she forgot to bring her key. She said to the young man, "Here is a book for you. Take a look. It can keep you safe.” The young man refused her politely. She said, “Then I'll give them to your neighbors.” The young man didn't stop her and kindly gave way to her.
Her materials ran out right after she had gone through the third unit. She thought that everything was arranged by Master. When the guards took her temperature measurement at the community gate before exiting, the red light popped on. The guard hurriedly asked her, “Do you have a fever?” She smiled and said, “I’m just hot.” The light went green on the second measurement. She left the community without a problem. At her home, her fellow practitioners were still sending righteous thoughts for her.
Distributing Dafa Materials Without Fear
Another practitioner worked very hard. After preparing truth-clarifying materials every day, she would ride her electric bike into town, and enter any residential community where she could get in to distribute the materials. She also encouraged other practitioners to do the same. Sometimes, after she had been in one community the night before, she would go again the next morning. Her leg had been in pain for a long time, but now it’s gone. She can now walk around easily.
One after another, practitioners clarified the truth face to face in the markets all year round. She was a little afraid to visit residential communities. But in order to cooperate as one body, she assumed responsibility for six communities. She originally planned to do it together with other practitioners, but was unable to get in touch with them, so she went on her own.
After sending righteous thoughts at 6 a.m., she said, “Master, your disciple is going out to clarify the truth now. It is Master who is saving the people.” She also imagined herself as a beam of light, so that she would not be caught in the surveillance camera.
She carried the newly printed tri-fold leaflets and walked to a residential community. The gate of the community was half open. She went inside and put the leaflets in each garage or storeroom. As she was doing it, an old man was approaching her. She handed a leaflet to the old man, “Uncle, here it is for you. It will keep you safe!” The old man took it and turned around. She realized that the scene was arranged by Master to encourage her not to be afraid.
She went to another community. The gate there was also half open. In the following days, she went to five of the six communities assigned to her to distribute the truth-clarifying materials. The sixth one had a locked wooden gate. She inserted a booklet of “Blessing of Heaven” in there.
Master Gives Us Wisdom
A fellow practitioner walked a long way to my home the day before yesterday. She wanted to get some fliers discussing the epidemic and insert them into the existing truth-clarifying materials. She said to me, “Now, we really need to get out to save people. We cannot feel much improvement when staying at home and studying the Fa. Once I am out to clarify the truth, even just talking to one person, I feel at ease.”
Now the residential communities are completely locked down and needed an entry pass. We started to work in the bungalow areas and other assigned areas to distribute the truth-clarifying materials. The fellow practitioners haven’t given up the effort to clarify the truth in the residential communities. Master will give us wisdom.
Anxious to Get Dafa Materials
A few days ago, I came to a Fa study group that I had previously participated in and brought a few hundred Minghui journals with me. As soon as I went in, the senior practitioner asked me, “Do you have any truth-clarifying stickers? Seeing NTDTV reports that so many people died every day, it's heartbreaking.” She called another two practitioners to come. One of them said to me, “I'm really anxious and don't know what I can do. My daughter picked up a leaflet from the corridor, showing that Dafa practitioners are trying to save lives. Yes, during this national calamity, I will join in to save people!”
I can’t help but thank Master for his compassion. Master is really omnipotent and wakes up practitioners in different ways. Before I went there, I thought that they might be worried in seeing me bring so many materials. My thinking was out of order and no more than human notions.
A fellow practitioner came to see me this morning and said that it’s really important to share thoughts with other practitioners. She had contacted some practitioners, who didn’t know what to do at the beginning. Some were fearful and were afraid to take the Minghui journals. One practitioner refused to open the door for her. After she eventually talked to her, the practitioner’s righteous thoughts came out and she took the truth-clarifying materials.
