(Minghui.org) The current coronavirus outbreak started last December and the epicenter, Wuhan City, was locked down on January 23, 2020. The epidemic has since spread to all provinces in China and dozens of other countries. The impact on public health, the economy, and politics is huge. 

The epidemic has also presented us with uncertainties, as no one knows how long it will last or how bad it could become. Some practitioners think there's nothing they can do, as, given the lockdown and other stringent measures, they can’t go out to tell people about the persecution of Falun Dafa. Some are debating whether the outbreak is an old forces’ arrangement and whether they should send forth righteous thoughts to stop it. Instead of focusing on concrete efforts to save people, they are sidetracked by such thoughts and discussions.

Our Teacher, Li Hongzhi, has told us that,

“The only thing you have a role in is saving people, and you have nothing to do with using human means and human principles to punish or pronounce judgment on people. This is a fundamental issue!” (“Teaching the Fa in the City of Chicago,” Collected Fa Teachings, Vol. VII)

This situation is somewhat similar to when the persecution first started in July 1999. Some practitioners stepped forward to validate the Fa and save people, while others stayed at home and did nothing. Since the state-controlled news media were broadcasting Chinese Communist Party (CCP) lies, some practitioners didn't know what to do in the face of the persecution.

It is understandable to have no clue about what to do when the coronavirus epidemic first started. But several months have now passed, and our efforts to save people will be significantly affected if we are still unclear.

Teacher has told us that Dafa practitioners are people’s only hope:

“Anyway, I just want to tell you that, as Dafa disciples, you should know how enormous your responsibility is, and this is not a child’s game. This undertaking has already come to the last stage, and I am extremely worried, yet you still do not treat it seriously. In the end, however, it will be too late even if you cry. Everything in the human world was arranged purposefully so as to arouse people’s attachments; there are so many things that prevent you from being saved. You do not consider yourself a cultivator and follow along with those things?! You are the hope for all sentient beings, and you are the hope for lives in your area!” (“Fa Teaching at the 2016 New York Fa Conference”)

The only thing practitioners should do is save people. Let us eliminate selfish notions and act quickly. Because we are saving people with rationality and wisdom, our righteous thoughts will make a difference.
