Additional Persecution News from China – March 7, 2020 (10 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 14 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Cases of Ms. Gao Qingxiu and Ms. Sun Runtao Turned Over to Court

Ms. Gao Qingxiu and Ms. Sun Runtao from Guyuan County were arrested on August 17, 2019 by officers from the Changliang Township Police Station, for talking to people about Falun Gong. They were held in the Zhangjiakou City Detention Center. Their case was turned over to the Zhangbei County Court in late February 2020.

2. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Qiuping Arrested

Ms. Wang Qiuping was reported to the 110 Response Unit by an armed police officer when she was distributing information about Falun Gong in Heping District on February 22, 2020. She was arrested and taken to the Maluwan Police Station. The police body-searched her and confiscated over 1,000 yuan in cash.

3. [Jiaohe City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Yinglan Arrested

Ms. Wang Yinglan, 80, from Hebei Street, was reported to the police on the afternoon of February 17, 2020 when she was posting Falun Gong materials. She was arrested by officers from the Hebei Street Police Station. The police ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Dafa books (over 90 copies), photos of the founder of Falun Gong, and printed materials.

4. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Sun Xiaojing Arrested

Ms. Sun Xiaojing was arrested and her home was ransacked on March 4, 2020.

5. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yu Shuhua Arrested

Ms. Yu Shuhua was arrested on February 24, 2020 by officers from the Fulaishan Police Station, Yantai Development Zone. The officers confiscated a computer, a cell phone, the book Zhuan Falun, card readers, USB flash drives, and memory cards.

6. [Longjing City, Jilin Province] Ms. Fan Minglan Arrested

Ms. Fan Minglan was arrested by the Longjing City police on January 20, 2020.

7. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Chen Xiumei and Ms. Guo Zhiping Held in Detention Center

Ms. Chen Xiumei and Ms. Guo Zhiping were followed and arrested on March 4, 2020 when they were posting self-adhesive Falun Gong materials. Their homes were ransacked. Both practitioners were held in a detention center.

8. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Dong Huanying Arrested

Ms. Dong Huanying was arrested on March 4, 2020.

9. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Ms. Wang Aihua and Two Other Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Wang Aihua, Ms. Zheng Zexiu, and Ms. Liu Jiqing were arrested and their homes ransacked on February 11, 2020 by Tang Zhengming and other officers from the Longchi Police Station. Ms. Wang and Ms. Zheng were released that afternoon. Both practitioners left home to avoid further persecution. Ms. Liu was released after being held for seven days.

10. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Yu Jinhong Arrested

Ms. Yu Jinhong from the Qingyuan Residential Community was reported to the police by security personnel on the morning of March 2, 2020 while she was distributing The Ultimate Goal of Communism. She was arrested and her home was ransacked by officers from the Huaidi Police Station. She was released after being held for 24 hours.
