(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 16 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Mr. Wu Jun from the Yungang area, Fengtai District, was arrested on January 18, 2020.
Seven people, including officers from the Changying Police Station and residential community personnel, using the excuse of coronavirus screening, went to Ms. Li Lianru’s home and arrested her on the afternoon of February 11. They confiscated Falun Dafa books and photos of the founder of Falun Gong. She was released 24 hours later.
Mr. Li Jinrong from the Dongcheng District was monitored on security cameras when he distributed informational materials about Falun Gong in a residential community. He was arrested at his home by officers from the Yongwai Police Station on the morning of February 18.

Ms. Wang Lihua from the Beichen District and Ms. Wu Xiu’e from the Nankai District were reported to police on January 28, 2020, for talking to people about Falun Gong at the Wangzhuang Farmers' Market.
Both practitioners were arrested by five police officers, who broke into their homes on the morning of February 13, 2020. The officers confiscated Falun Dafa books, computers, cell phones, and paper bills with Falun Gong information printed on them. They were taken to the Ruijing Police Station.
Both practitioners returned home at around midnight. Ms. Wang was forced to pay bail of 1,000 yuan.

Mr. Wang Xijie from Suijiadian Village was arrested at another practitioner’s home on the morning of February 17, 2020. His wife Ms. Li Changfang had passed away as a result of persecution.
Mr. Yang Yongxiu, who works at the Yishui County Water Resources Bureau, was reported to the police on February 18, 2020, for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong. He was arrested by officers from Chengqu Police Station, and was released later that afternoon.

Ms. Cai Hui was arrested on February 18, 2020.
Ms. Zheng Zexiu and Ms. Wang Aihua were arrested by officers from the Macheng Police Department on or around February 11, 2020. Their homes were ransacked, and printed materials and Falun Gong books were confiscated. They were released later that afternoon. Ms. Zheng was forced to leave home to avoid further harassment.
Ms. Bai Xiuhua from the Dadong District was arrested by officers from Wanlian Police Station, Shenhe District, on the evening of February 17, 2020. Her home was ransacked.
Ms. Bai's husband was also taken to the police station, but later released because he has lung cancer.
Mr. Zhang Mingyu, in his fifties, from Fujin City, was arrested at home on February 14, 2020.

Ms. Zhang Zhixiang, 60, from Baoqing County, was arrested on the afternoon of February 3, 2020, for talking to people about Falun Gong.
Mr. Zhang Wenqing was arrested on February 8, 2020, for carrying keepsakes, which had information about Falun Dafa and the coronavirus outbreak printed on them. His whereabouts are unknown.
Officers from the Meihekou City Police Department and Shancheng Town Police Station broke into Ms. Huang Shufen’s home in Erlong Village, Shancheng, and ransacked the place on the morning of December 18, 2019. Ms. Huang was not home at the time.
The officers coerced her husband into showing them where her younger sister, Ms. Huang Shuxiang, lives. They ransacked the place, arrested both sisters, and confiscated Falun Dafa books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, a DVD player, printed materials, and over 2,000 yuan in cash.
Both sisters are in their 60s. Ms. Huang Shufen had previously been taken to the Meihekou City Brainwashing Center, and has been harassed many times.
During interrogation, the officers slapped the younger sister’s face, and threatened to sentence them to three years or more in prison.
Both sisters failed the physical exam, and were released later that night.
