Additional Persecution News from China – March 25, 2020 (11 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in six provinces, where at least 18 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Foshan City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Li Yanqun Arrested
2. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Chen Xiumei and Ms. Guo Zhiping Held in Detention Center
3. [Tianjin] Five Practitioners Arrested; Another Practitioner's Case Has Been Turned Over to the Procuratorate
4. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Cases of Ms. Wang Haiping and Ms. Zhao Qinghua Turned Over to Procuratorate
5. [Shanghai] Ms. Yang Jie Arrested
6. [Anguo City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Li’s Home Ransacked
7. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Zhenggui Arrested
8. [Liaoyuan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Yu Guizhi Arrested
9. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Weizong Arrested
10. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Xia Lijun Arrested
11. [Chongqing] Ms. Xu Xiaoqin Arrested

1. [Foshan City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Li Yanqun Arrested

Ms. Li Yanqun, 65, was recently arrested by officers from the Chancheng District Domestic Security Division.

2. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Chen Xiumei and Ms. Guo Zhiping Held in Detention Center

Ms. Chen Xiumei and Ms. Guo Zhiping were arrested by officers from the Xianfengjie Police Station on March 4, 2020. Their homes were ransacked.

Both practitioners are being held in the Baoding City Detention Center.

3. [Tianjin] Five Practitioners Arrested; Another Practitioner's Case Has Been Turned Over to the Procuratorate

Ms. Du Baozhu, Ms. Yin Lu, Ms. Wang Jinguo, Ms. Liu Cuilan, and Ms. Jia from the Binhai New Area were arrested by officers from the Shengli Police Station, Dagang District, on March 13, 2020. Their Falun Dafa books were confiscated.

Ms. Wang Shumin from the Ninghe District was arrested on April 17, 2019. She has been held in the Ninghe Detention Center for nearly a year. Her case was turned over to the Procuratorate in January 2020.

4. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Cases of Ms. Wang Haiping and Ms. Zhao Qinghua Turned Over to Procuratorate

Ms. Wang Haiping and Ms. Zhao Qinghua are from Xingyang City. Their cases were turned over to the Procuratorate on March 17, 2020.

5. [Shanghai] Ms. Yang Jie Arrested

Ms. Yang Jie from the Nanhui District was arrested on March 13, 2020. Her home was ransacked.

6. [Anguo City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Li’s Home Ransacked

Several police officers deceived Ms. Wang Li's husband, who lives in Xifuluo Village, to open their front door, on March 16, 2020. They ransacked their home, and confiscated Falun Dafa books, and photos of the founder of Falun Gong.

7. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Zhenggui Arrested

Mr. Wang Zhenggui, in his 70s, from the Heping District, was arrested by officers from the Xinhua Police Station on March 11, 2020, for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong. His home was ransacked, and Falun Dafa books and photos of the founder of Falun Gong were confiscated.

8. [Liaoyuan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Yu Guizhi Arrested

Ms. Yu Guizhi, 75, was arrested at home by officers from the Xiangyang Police Department on the afternoon of March 13, 2020. Photos of the founder of Falun Gong, printed materials, and paper bills with Falun Gong information printed on them were confiscated.

Ms. Yu was released on bail after her family paid 10,000 yuan.

9. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Weizong Arrested

Mr. Li Weizong from the Zhangqiu District was arrested by officers from the Linchi Town Police Station on the afternoon of March 11, 2020, for distributing Falun Gong materials in Linchi. He was released on bail.

10. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Xia Lijun Arrested

Ms. Xia Lijun was arrested by officers from the Linyuan Police Station, Luyuan District, on the morning of February 24, 2020. The officers ransacked her home, and confiscated Falun Dafa books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, printed materials, a computer, and printer.

11. [Chongqing] Ms. Xu Xiaoqin Arrested

Ms. Xu Xiaoqin from the Yongchuan District was arrested and handcuffed by plainclothes officers from the local Domestic Security Division on the morning of February 27, 2020, when she went out grocery shopping. The officers ransacked her home, and confiscated the book Zhuan Falun, Hong Yin, and a notebook computer.
