The U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom again recommended designating China as a Country of Particular Concern like the past 21 consecutive years. The report suggested the U.S. government “impose targeted sanctions on Chinese government agencies and officials responsible for severe violations of religious freedom … by freezing those individuals’ assets and/or barring their entry into the United States.”

Though the communist regimes of Eastern Europe have disintegrated, the evil specter of communism hasn’t disappeared. On the contrary, this evil specter is already ruling our world, and humanity must not harbor a mistaken sense of optimism.
Authorities issued a permit to practitioners to hold banners in front of the Chinese Consulate and in Chinatown to commemorate the Appeal while practicing social distancing and wearing masks.
Practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises to help bring awareness of the April 25 appeal and the ongoing persecution in China. It caught the eye of many passersby.
