(Minghui.org) Every year government officials and dignitaries from countries around the world acknowledge the contributions Falun Dafa practitioners make to their communities by issuing congratulatory proclamations. As of May 7, 2020, proclamations have been received from 38 elected Canadian officials congratulating the 21st World Falun Dafa Day, as well as the 28th anniversary of the practice’s introduction to the world. Twelve are from Members of Parliament (MP).
Falun Dafa, also known as Falun Gong, is a meditation and self-cultivation practice based on the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Introduced to the public on May 13, 1992, by Mr. Li Hongzhi, it is practiced by over 100 million people in over 100 countries.

I know Canada is home to a vibrant Falun Dafa community,” he stated in his letter.
“On behalf of Canada’s Official Opposition, I am proud to salute the Falun Dafa Association of Canada for their diligent efforts to share this beneficial practice with Canadians. Please accept my best wishes for a joyful celebration,” he concluded the letter.

“This is an immensely special day for Canadians who follow this ancient spiritual practice, founded on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance,” stated MP Kyle Seeback in his greeting letter, “These are values proudly shared by all Canadians and enshrined in our democratic institutions.”
“This particular Falun Dafa Day is especially significant for the Falun Dafa community, as Canada continues to face the challenge of the COVID-19 pandemic, strong and united. The health crisis has reminded us of the importance of Falun Dafa’s guiding principles and how they continue to endure after 28 years, despite considerable adversity.”
MP Hon. Judy A. Sgro sends greeting letters every year. She stated, “As peaceful practitioners in more than 100 nations mark the occasion, I am honored to add my endorsement to your efforts, as you strive to help advance the values of openness, tolerance and freedom of conscience and religion here in Canada and globally.”
“In Canada, Falun Dafa practitioners have the right and ability to practice their faith and rituals in peace and security,” she stated, “Unfortunately, this is not the case everywhere and, as we celebrate the 28th anniversary of the introduction of Falun Dafa to the public, we must also renew our commitment to advancing the rights at the national table of every nation on earth.
“Sadly, too many non-violent and devout practitioners live in darkness and under the constant threat of persecution and even death. As Canadians, we must do our part to help bring about the changes needed to right these terrible wrongs.”

“The Communist Party of China’s machinery of persecution has turned on Falun Dafa and other peaceful groups to the detriment of the world, and the world must intervene by calling on the Chinese regime to account for its extensive human rights violations against its own people,” MP James Bezan stated in his letter.
“As you celebrate another amazing year of work dedicated to promoting harmony and goodwill in society, thank you for your continued commitment to peace around the world,” MP Nathaniel Erskine-Smith stated in his letter.
