(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners in our area have been exposing the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) persecution of Falun Gong and urging people to quit the CCP and related organizations since the persecution began in July 1999. As a result, many local people have come to see the criminal nature of the CCP and have come to support Falun Gong.
In this article, I’d like to share a few stories of such righteous residents who defended Falun Gong practitioners when they were harassed by the police.
Guiying's parents were arrested, detained, and sentenced for holding firm to their faith in Falun Gong. She grew up in fear, as the local police kept coming to harass her family.
Her mother-in-law also practices Falun Gong and treats her just like her own daughter. Guiying has not practiced Falun Gong yet, but she admires Falun Gong practitioners and appreciates their kindness.
She took a long bus ride in 2018 and heard a person viciously attacking Falun Gong and its founder. She got very upset. When he stated that nobody was practicing Falun Gong anymore, she stood up and announced: “I am a Falun Gong practitioner!”
She continued, “What you said was all wrong. Falun Gong practitioners abide by the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and what is wrong with that? They are all good people!” The man lowered his head and didn’t say anything else for the rest of the ride.
Local police came into a village to look for a Falun Gong practitioner, planning to force her to give up her faith. Two policemen and a village secretary arrived together, but they could not find her. So they went to the local store to inquire about her.
They entered the store and asked if anyone had seen the practitioner, since there were many shoppers there. Nobody answered their inquiry.
A woman said to the police, “That practitioner is a good person and she takes good care of her parents and her grandchildren.” The woman asked the police to leave and not to persecute the practitioner.
Stunned by the woman’s righteous support of the practitioner, the police left.
The police came to the village to harass local Falun Gong practitioners last Spring. They stopped by the field where Mr. Fang, a practitioner, was working with his wife
An officer yelled at him, “Do you still practice Falun Gong?” Mr. Fang did not respond to him and continued working in the field.
His wife was nearby and the police asked her whether her husband was still practicing.
“Does practicing Falun Gong bother you?” She asked the police.
The policeman pulled out a piece of paper and asked her about several other practitioners in the village.
Having witnessed how her husband regained his health and became more considerate and kind, Mr. Fang's wife is grateful for Falun Gong and felt she had to defend the practitioners.
She refused to provide any information about the practitioners and also asked the police not to look for the practitioners anymore.
The police left without arresting Mr. Fang.
