(Minghui.org) In traditional Chinese culture, plagues are usually viewed as acts of Heaven, often as a warning for wrongdoing and immorality in the world.
It says in the Taoist classics Taipingjing: “When Yin qi (negative energy) prevails over Yang qi (positive energy), the balance is turned upside down, with spirits, ghosts, and evil creatures thriving; while the Yang qi is blocked, they act in the human world in the daytime, causing endless plagues.”
It also says: “[When plagues hit,] good people will naturally thrive, while evil ones get sick; good or ill luck all depends on how one conducts oneself.”
If human beings stop following the path set forth by the divine and become decadent, they will naturally do more evil things. And when they have descended to a certain point, they will incur karmic retribution.
Gao Panlong, a high-ranking court official in the Ming Dynasty, said in the Gao Family Precepts, “Reflecting upon your shortcomings will bring you good things; correcting your mistakes will keep you away from misfortunes.”
The Wuhan Pandemic has been raging all over the world for months now, and in China, the number of asymptomatic infections and relapsed cases is on the rise, with the looming risk of a second outbreak. This virus has killed many more people than SARS, and to date scientists have yet to find a remedy for it.
Some people hold the view that the pandemic broke out in Wuhan for a reason: Wuhan is where the first CCP-directed TV program slandering Falun Gong was produced. The program deceived countless people across China as part of a propaganda campaign to mobilize the public to support a persecution campaign that includes systematic imprisonment, torture and killing of Falun Gong practitioners.
People have also noticed that countries and regions that have close ties with the CCP have been hit the hardest in this pandemic.
Looking at the matter from the perspective of karmic ties, when people are close to the CCP, they are in effect siding with it in all the crimes it has committed. If that’s the case, then cutting ties with the CCP might be a way to stay safe.
The following is a true story that happened only recently.
The mother of a Falun Gong practitioner's daughter-in-law lives with her son's family in a residential neighborhood in Wuhan.
One day, she developed the telltale symptoms of the virus: a fever, troubled breathing with tightness in the chest, and dry coughs.
She could not get a bed in a hospital, so she was forced to self-quarantine at home. Her whole family was petrified.
The practitioner asked her daughter-in-law to tell her mother to recite “Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” to turn things around.
She did so and called her mother frequently to check in on her and also encouraged her mother to quit the CCP's affiliated organizations. She told her that the CCP had committed many crimes against humanity and that cutting ties with the CCP would protect her from karmic retribution.
Her mother quit the CCP and kept reciting the two phrases.
A few days later, her mother's symptoms disappeared and she fully recovered.
Her whole family is extremely grateful to Falun Dafa for saving her mother's life, and they still recite the two phrases every day.
Looking at history, we can see that the persecution of Christians in the Roman Empire and the eradication of Buddhism by three Chinese emperors both brought about disasters, either in the form of epidemics or the early deaths of the emperors who issued the decrees.
Since the CCP seized power in 1949, around 80 million Chinese have been killed in various political purges and movements, such as the Land Reform (eliminating landlords), the Crackdown on Counter-revolutionaries (elimination of religions and religious groups), the Great Leap Forward (breeding falsehoods to test people's loyalty to the CCP), the Anti-Rightist Movement (suppressing intellectuals who voiced their views on how to improve governance in China), and so on.
The Cultural Revolution completely destroyed China's traditional culture and values.
In the bloody June 4th Massacre in 1989, the CCP slaughtered thousands of young students who tried to promote democracy and stop bureaucratic corruption.
Millions of Uyghurs in Xinjiang are still being subjected to detention and coercive brainwashing.
Tibetans and their cultural heritage have been suppressed by the CCP for decades, and many have lost their lives trying to preserve their culture and faith.
Thousand of young people in Hong Kong have “disappeared” or “committed suicide” in their resistance to the tyranny of the CCP in recent times.
Tens of millions of Falun Gong practitioners are still being persecuted for their belief in the universal principles of “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance,” and countless practitioners have suffered unlawful arrest, imprisonment, coercive brainwashing, torture, and even live organ harvesting, “a form of evil yet to be seen on this planet.”
The CCP's list of crimes goes on and on, and it has extended its evil to every corner of the world.
In the past few decades, especially after the CCP regime was accepted into the World Trade Organization, it has taken advantage of the international free market to push forward its own agendas and expand its global influence.
How has the CCP taken advantage? Its tactics have included dumping products to monopolize markets, selling cheap labor, stealing intellectual property, mergers and acquisitions of foreign enterprises using state assets disguised as private entities, comprehensive infiltration into all sectors of the international community, deception, bribery, and threats.
The regime has also established Confucius Institutes and Confucius Classrooms to influence the minds of our young and the “Belt and Road Initiative” to advance its global domination strategy.
The proliferation of CCP propaganda in the West has effectively eroded and undermined the essential values on which our faith, way of life, well-being, and rule of law are based.
The CCP's disregard for human life is further revealed by its own conduct during the devastating Wuhan pandemic. It lied about the source and scope of infection and snapped up PPE equipment globally, causing a devastating shortage of such equipment for frontline doctors and nurses fighting to save lives. Its cover-ups turned a containable infection into a global pandemic that has infected millions and killed tens of thousands of people, not to mention the unprecedented economic destruction that could be worse than the Great Depression of the 1930s.
However, the CCP has never admitted any of its crimes or apologized for any of its wrongdoings, either to the Chinese people or others around the world who have suffered as a result of its misconduct. Instead, it keeps plying its usual tricks of deception, falsehoods, and threats in its last-ditch struggle to escape responsibility.
While scientists and medical professionals desperately try to find a cure for the coronavirus, it is also important for people around the world to see through the CCP for what it is and to get to the bottom of the real cause of human suffering.
Oftentimes, people are indifferent when it comes to injustice and human rights abuses that they can't see or that don’t directly impact their own lives, especially when vested interests are at stake. This is one of the key loopholes the CCP has taken advantage of in pushing its global dominance.
Civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” Lessons from history need to be learned, and we are in the middle of another lesson.
It's time for the evil specter of the CCP to be completely laid bare for all to see. It must be held accountable for all its crimes against humanity, and it must be rooted out completely.
At the same time, we need to reflect and ask ourselves, “How has humanity allowed the CCP to harm people for so long?” Failing to do so, we might suffer more similar disasters in the future.
While the pandemic is a disastrous crisis, it offers us an opportunity to reflect and rebuild the world grounded in moral values, freedom of faith, and rule of law. This might be a fundamental cure for the pandemic.
