(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 15 cities or counties in eight provinces, where at least 25 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Lu Yuzhen Arrested

Ms. Lu Yuzhen from the Shuangcheng District was arrested by officers from the Dongfeng Police Station on April 18, 2020. The officers forcibly took her fingerprints and made her sign their documents. Her Falun Dafa books and photos of the founder of Falun Gong were confiscated.

2. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhao Meihua and Ms. Gao Jiuyun Detained

Ms. Zhao Meihua from the Fuxing District and Ms. Gao Jiuyun from Quzhou County are being held in the Handan City No. 3 Detention Center.

3. [Anxin County, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhao Wuhu Arrested

Mr. Zhao Wuhu was arrested on the ground floor of his apartment building by officers Li Tao and Wang Chong from the Anxin County Domestic Security Division, on the morning of May 18, 2020. His home was ransacked. He was taken to the Nanliu Patrol Special Police Division.

4. [Beijing] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Zhang Zishu, Ms. Wang Shuhua, and Ms. Hu Xiaolu were arrested on May 22, 2020. They are being held in the Changping District Detention Center.

5. [Shanghai] Mr. Zhang Shuqiang Officially Detained

Mr. Zhang Shuqiang, 47, from the Pudong New Area, was arrested by officers from the Pudong Police Department and the Shanggang New Village Police Station on the morning of April 16, 2020. He was officially placed under arrest on May 21, and is being held in the Pudong New Area Detention Center.

6. [Tongling City, Anhui Province] Mr. Huang Yongqing and His Family Detained

Mr. Huang Yongqing with a PhD in computers, his wife Ms. Zhang Hong, and their son were recently arrested by plainclothes officers when they were distributing Falun Gong materials. They are being held in the Tongling City Detention Center.

7. [Deyang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Bao Shuhua Arrested

Ms. Bao Shuhua from Yangjia Town in the Jingyang District was arrested by officers from the Yangjia Police Station on May 26, 2020.

Her home was ransacked, and Falun Dafa books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, a printer, laptop, desktop computer, and paper bills with Falun Gong information printed on them were confiscated.

8. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Mr. Cui Yongqiang Tried

Mr. Cui Yongqiang was tried by the Huangdao District Court on the morning of May 26, 2020.

9. [Jining City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xu Aihua Detained

Ms. Xu Aihua, in her 60s, from Liangshan County, was arrested on May 20, 2020 after her ID was checked on the way to her son’s home in Beijing to take care of her grandchild. Falun Gong informational materials were found in her bag.

She was taken back to Liangshan and her home was ransacked. She is being held in the Liangshan No. 2 Middle School for ten days of detention.

10. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Sun Wenjun and Another Practitioner Arrested

Ms. Sun Wenjun and another female practitioner were arrested by officers from the Xi’an Square Police Station on May 18, 2020, for distributing Falun Gong informational booklets.

11. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Xiufen Arrested

Ms. Wang Xiufen from Quyang County was arrested at home on the evening of May 26, 2020.

12. [Pingliang City, Gansu Province] Mr. Yang Zonglin Detained

Mr. Yang Zonglin, a retiree from the Pingliang City Forestry Research Institute, was arrested by officers from the Kongtong District Domestic Security Division on the morning of May 23, 2020. His home was ransacked, and Falun Dafa books, copies of Minghui Weekly, and a cell phone were confiscated.

Mr. Yang was taken to the Pingliang Detention Center.

13. [Yingtan City, Jiangxi Province] Several Practitioners’ Cases Turned Over to Procuratorate, Ms. Tang Xiaobao Passes Away

The cases of Ms. Li Meilian, Ms. Xu Huihua, Mr. Li Jinlong, Mr. Zhang Jinlong, Mr. Huang Yumi, and other practitioners were turned over to the Guixi Procuratorate.

Ms. Li has been held in the Yingtan City Supervision Hospital since May 6, 2020. Ms. Xu, Mr. Li, Mr. Zhang, Ms. Wei Qinglan, and Ms. Xu Zhenhua are being held in the Yingtan City Detention Center. Mr. Huang and Mr. Ai Guoxiang’s whereabouts are unknown.

Ms. Tang Xiaobao, 70, passed away at home in early April 2020. She had been persecuted many times for her belief.

14. [Zhalantun City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Zhao Shuzhi and Ms. Ren Xiaomei Detained

Ms. Zhao Shuzhi from Morin Dawa Daur Autonomous Banner and Ms. Ren Xiaomei were arrested at the Morin Dawa Daur Autonomous Banner Bus Terminal when they returned home by bus on the afternoon of April 9, 2020.

Both practitioners are being held in the Arun Banner Detention Center.

15. [Tianjin] Ms. Zhang Qingfen Arrested

Ms. Zhang Qingfen was arrested by officers from the Donghai Police Station, the Domestic Security Division, and the 610 Office on the afternoon of February 28, 2020.

She was interrogated at the police station. The police searched her bag and took her fingerprints.

Ms. Zhang was taken to a detention center, which refused to accept her. She was released after her family was forced to pay 1,000 yuan.
