(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in ten cities or counties in six provinces, where at least 25 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Shanghai] Mr. Liu Bo Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Liu Bo from the Jiading District was arrested on July 22, 2019, and held in the Jiading Detention Center. He was later officially arrested, and his case was turned over to the Jiading Procuratorate in late August.

Mr. Liu was tried and sentenced to a three-year prison term on June 23, 2020.

2. [Beijing] Elderly Ms. Wang Shurong Threatened By Police

Ms. Wang Shurong, in her 80s, was followed on June 18, 2020, while distributing Falun Gong materials. She was reported to the police.

The police arrived, notified her family to pick her up, and warned her not to go out.

3. [Linhai City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Guo Yulan Arrested

Ms. Guo Yulan was arrested around June 18, 2020.

4. [Baicheng City, Jilin Province] Ms. Yang Xiuyun and Ms. Li Yangbo Arrested

Ms. Yang Xiuyun and Ms. Li Yangbo were arrested.

5. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Liu Guoli Held in Detention Center

Mr. Liu Guoli from the Hanting District was arrested in the spring of 2009 and held in the Hanting Brainwashing Center for two days. He had to pay 100 yuan each day he was held there.

He was previously arrested in December 2008 and held in the Weifang City Detention Center for three days. He was forced to pay 15,000 yuan before being released.

6. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Several Practitioners Arrested, Three Remain in Custody

Approximately twelve practitioners from the Petroleum Machinery Factory were arrested several days ago.

Ms. Qin Lijie, Ms. Kou Aimei, and Ms. Li Baolian are still being detained.

Ms. Chai Baoqin, Mr. Zhang Jinxiang, Ms. Shi Cuiying, Ms. Li Baorong, Ms. Zhang Qianxia, Ms. Qin Lihua, Ms. Qin’s husband, and Ms. Mao Hong’en’s husband were released.

7. [Chongqing] Ms. Yu Lan Arrested and Released, Mr. Chen Jiachuan and Ms. Wang Zelan's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Yu Lan, 66, was reported to the police for posting Falun Gong materials on the evening of June 18, 2020. She was arrested by officers from the Yubei District's Longshan Police Station. Her home was ransacked the following morning. She was released on bail and fined 10,000 yuan.

Mr. Chen Jiachuan and Ms. Wang Zelan from the Hechuan District were reported to the police on the evening of June 23, 2020, for talking to people about Falun Gong. They were arrested. The location where they are being detained is unknown.

8. [Baoqing County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhuang Jingbo Arrested and Released

Mr. Zhuang Jingbo was arrested by officers from the Beixing Police Station on June 23, 2020. He was held in the Baoqing County Domestic Security Division and returned home the following afternoon.

9. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Mr. Hu Shenjia Arrested and Released, Ms. Zhang Shiying’s Home Ransacked

Jing Mingzhong, director of the Chengqu Police Station in Yi County, and about twelve others broke into Mr. Hu Shenjie’s home and ransacked it on the morning of June 2, 2020. Mr. Hu was taken to the police station for interrogation. He has since returned home.

Officers from the Yi Police Station broke into Ms. Zhang Shiying’s home in Peishan Village and ransacked it on June 15, 2020. They tried to arrest her, but her daughter managed to stop them.

10. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wen Yuyan Arrested, Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Wen Yuyan, 74, was arrested by officers from the Wulajie Police Station on May 21, 2020, for talking to people about Falun Gong. Her whereabouts are unknown.
