(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 19 cities or counties in 9 provinces, where at least 39 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Mr. Wei Zhenquan and his wife Ms. Hou Shumin were arrested by officers from the Changyang Police Station on the afternoon of July 22, 2020. Their home was ransacked, and Falun Gong books, a notebook computer, printer, and other personal belongings were confiscated. They are being held in the Fangshan Detention Center.
Security personnel from Houtian Village went to Ms. Yu Zhaomei's home in June 2020, but she wasn't' there. Officials from the Xufu Town Government later called her and asked if she was still practicing Falun Gong.
Mr. Yin Guohua, an employee of the Huadian Longkou Corp, and Mr. Li Fengjie, a retiree of the Huadian Longkou Corp, were called by personnel from the Longkou City Political and Legal Affairs Committee. They asked if Mr. Yin and Mr. Li were still practicing Falun Gong.
The same people then went to the Longkou Mineral Group Engineering Company to talk to Mr. Yin Jiahong. They ask him if he practiced Falun Gong.
Ms. Miao Chunrong and her daughter Ms. Wang Xuan were harassed at their shop by officers from the Longkou Police Station. The officers forced them to give their identification card numbers and other personal information. They also took pictures of Ms. Miao.
Mr. Guo Hongwei was harassed in his repair shop three times by officers from the Longkou police station.
Ms. Ge Xiumei and Mr. Guo Weidong from Heping Village were harassed on the phone.
Ms. Yu Shuqing from Xinjia Town and a practitioner from Aoshang Village were harassed.
Mr. Ma Wei, in his 40s, was arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division around July 16, 2020.
Ms. Cui Yuqiu and her daughter were arrested at home on July 15, 2020, and taken to the Weizigou Detention Center. Ms. Cui's daughter was released on July 26.
Ms. Cui was taken to the Chuncheng Boulevard Police Station, and was forced to take a nucleic acid test for Covid-19. She is being held in the police station waiting the test results.
When Ms. He Xiaoyan was arrested, deputy head Wang Zhiyuan and other officers from the Suning County Domestic Security Division searched her family's computer store on the afternoon of July 24, 2020. They then ransacked her home, and confiscated her personal belongings. An eyewitness said that her car was confiscated and Falun Gong materials were in the car.
Neighborhood committee security director Song Xianping called Ms. Zhang Yingon on July 15, 2020. Song told her to get her husband to deliver a two square inch picture of her to the neighborhood committee.
Ms. Dong Meirong from the Yongnian District was harassed in Ba County by officers from the Ba Domestic Security Division on July 16. After she returned home, she was harassed by officers from the Yongnian Domestic Security Division. Ms. Dong was forced to stay away from home to avoid further harassment.
Ms. Qin Hongzeng from Taikang County was arrested by officers from the Chengguan Town Police Station and personnel from the Xijie residential office on July 24, 2020, when she was cooking at home. She is being held in the Taikang Detention Center.
Ms. Zhang Lijuan from Yitong County was arrested by officers from the Liaoyuan City Domestic Security Division on July 20, 2020. Her home was ransacked.
Her son, Mr. Cao Boyu, was also arrested. He is being held in the Liaoyuan Detention Center.
Ms. Liu Ying is due to be tried on the afternoon of July 30, 2020.
Mr. Zhao Binghua was harassed at home by someone from Bukou Village office in Changcheng Town and four others on the morning of July 14, 2020. They asked if he was still practicing Falun Gong.
Ms. Deng Hongyan was arrested at her store by officers from the Sulan City Police Department on the morning of July 15, 2020. The officers ransacked her store, then took her to her home and ransacked the place. But they didn't find anything incriminating.
He Qixiang from the village office took officers from the Anguo City Domestic Security Division and Li Baoru, director of the Shifo Police Station, to Ms. Jin Huijuan's mother's home on the morning of July 24, 2020. They wanted to know where Ms. Jin Huijuan and her son were, and told Ms. Jin Huijuan's mother to tell them to go to the Domestic Security Division.
Ms. Jin and her son have been displaced for six months after they were arrested during the Chinese New Year holiday. Their home was ransacked, but they were released because the detention centers were not taking any new inmates due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Ms. Zhou Min and her husband were arrested at home on the evening of July 23, 2020. Three police officers ransacked her home, and confiscated a picture of Falun Gong's founder, Falun Gong books, computers, an iPhone, and other personal belongings. They demanded that she sign a guarantee statement renouncing Falun Gong.
Over ten more officers arrived later. Four of them tied Ms. Zhou's hands behind her back, and dragged her from the fourth floor down to their police car.
Ms. Zhou and her husband were taken to the police station and interrogated for a day and night.
Ms. Chen Ping from Nanchong City is training to be a teacher at the China West Normal University in Sichuan Province. She was arrested on the morning of July 26, 2020.
Ms. Wu Qinglan’s family was harassed by two officers on the afternoon of June 22, 2020. Ms. Wu was out at the time. The officers demanded that her husband give them her cell phone number.
Ms. Huang Chaofen was harassed at home by two officers on the afternoon of July 16. An officer searched her home, while the other took pictures of her. They told her not to do any “nonsense” outside, referring to Dafa activities, and questioned how many people live in her home.
Ms. Tian Yuru and Mr. Gou Bangming and were harassed by officers on June 13 and 25, respectively.
Practitioner Xu Rong (gender unknown) from Weihai City was arrested by officers from the Huangguan Police Station around 8 p.m. on July 25, 2020, after someone reported Xu for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Xu was released after 11 p.m.
Ms. Feng, Mr. Wang Bao, and Mr. Wang’s son were arrested by officers from the Donghai Police Station on the morning of July 27, 2020. Their personal belongings were confiscated.
Ms. Wang Xinyan from Renqiu City was arrested by officers from the Shimenqiao Police Station on July 6, 2020, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Her family learned that she was given a criminal detention when they went to the police station on July 23 to deliver clothes to her.
Ms. Wang was formally arrested on July 24, and was transferred to the Renqiu Detention Center.
Ms. Cao Haiqin, 47, from Handan City, and her mother Ms. Li Suzhen, 86, rode an electric bike and went out to talk to people about the persecution of Falun Gong on the morning of July 20, 2020.
Someone reported them, and Jia Xiaojie, head of the county Domestic Security Division, and over ten others officers drove in three police cars and surrounded them. They snatched their bag, which had 50 yuan in cash and a name list of people withdrawing for the Chinese Communist Party in it.
The officers then went to their home, used a confiscated key to open the door, and ransacked the place when no one was there, which was against the law. They confiscated five audio players, U-discs, Falun Gong books, and other personal belongings.
Ms. Li was taken to the Industrial District Police Station. She was so scared that the officers had to call her son to take her home later that night.
Ms. Cao was interrogated at the police department. She was then taken to the Industrial District Police Station and to be interrogated further. They videotaped her, forced her to put her fingerprints on the interrogation records, and give her word that she won't appeal. She was released on the afternoon of July 21 after the officers extorted 3,000 yuan from her family.
Ms. Wang Cuixia, 48, was forced to leave home after officers from the Linyi County Police Department, the Domestic Security Division, and the Beixin Police Station tried to arrest her on March 24, 2020. The officers have since repeatedly searched her home.
Officer Yuan Jianqing and others from the Linyi Domestic Security Division went to her home again on July 9. They searched the property but didn't find her. They then went to her relatives' homes to ask in they knew of her whereabouts.
