(Minghui.org) A 78-year-old woman is facing prosecution for her faith in Falun Gong, an ancient spiritual and meditation discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.
Ms. Xue Yuqin, of Jilin City, Jilin Province, was arrested on July 26, 2020, for talking to people about Falun Gong at a farmers’ market. The police ransacked her home and confiscated her computer, printer, Falun Gong books and informational materials.
Ms. Xue was forced to go through a comprehensive physical examination the next day at her own expense (985 yuan in total). Despite that she was found to have diabetes, the Jilin City Detention Center still admitted her.
On the afternoon of July 29, the police released Ms. Xue on 10,000 yuan bail. The police warned her to not go out-of-town, or they would put her on the national wanted list.
The police have now submitted her case to the Chuanying District Procuratorate.
