(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 21 cities or counties in 10 provinces, where at least 34 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Jiang Xue Held in Detention Center
Ms. Jiang Xue was arrested by officers from the Sungang Police Station on April 24, 2020. She was taken to the Meilin Detention Center, and later transferred to cell #209 in the Luohu District Detention Center.
2. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Xinyan and Another Practitioner Arrested
Ms. Wang Xinyan and another practitioner from Renqiu City were arrested by officers from the Shimenqiao Police Station on July 6, 2020, for talking to people about Falun Gong. Ms. Wang's home was ransacked the following day and her Falun Dafa books were confiscated.
3. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Mao Yufen Held in Custody
Ms. Mao Yufen was arrested by officers from Hebin Park Police Station on July 4, 2020, for distributing Falun Gong materials. Her home was ransacked. She is being held in the Taiciqiao Police Station.
4. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Jinying Arrested
Ms. Zhang Jinying from Yang'erzhuang Town in Huanghua City was arrested by officers from the Xinqu Police Station on June 26, 2020, for posting “Falun Dafa is Good” stickers. She was bailed out the following day.
The person who bailed out Ms. Zhang went to her home on June 28 to try and talk her into making an audio statement, in which Ms. Zhang was to renounce Falun Gong. The person was working with the police to have it on record.
Ms. Zhang was forced to pay the police 6,000 yuan.
5. [Chongqing] Ms. Peng Chengfang’s Home Ransacked
Officers from the Jiangjin Police Department and the Luohuang Police Station, along with personnel from the Huangpokan Residential Community, broke into Ms. Peng Chengfang’s home and ransacked it on the morning of July 6, 2020. They confiscated photos of the founder of Falun Gong, a copy of the book Zhuan Falun, and several truth-clarification stickers.
6. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Yufen Arrested, Her Daughter's Home Ransacked
Ms. Wang Yufen, 75, from Rongcheng City was arrested by a police officer on July 4, 2020, for handing him a truth-clarification brochure. She was taken to the Lijiang Police Station, and was interrogated and threatened.
The police went to the home of her daughter, who is also a practitioner, and ransacked the place. They confiscated over 40 Falun Dafa books, two MP3 players, weekly publications, and a videotape lecture series by Falun Gong’s founder.
7. [Puning City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Huang Aihua and Ms. Chen Meihua Facing Trial
Ms. Huang Aihua and Ms. Chen Meihua are scheduled for trial on July 9, 2020.
8. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Qiao Chenglin Interrogated
Mr. Qiao Chenglin from the Zhangqiu District was summoned to the police department on July 8, 2020. Sun Fengguo, deputy head of the Legal Division, interrogated him while creating a transcript, which was to be included in his case. Sun was working on sending Mr. Qiao's case to the Procuratorate.
Mr. Qiao was previously arrested on June 3, 2020, for distributing Falun Gong materials, and was released on bail the same day.
9. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Ruilian Harassed
Officers from the Huanggezhuang Town Police Station, Fengnan District, broke into Ms. Zhang Ruilian’s home and videotaped and harassed her on the morning of July 2, 2020. She was asked if she still practiced Falun Gong.
10. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Ren Haifei in Critical Condition
Mr. Ren Haifei had been on a hunger strike since his arrest. He suffered heart and kidney failure, and was taken to a hospital for emergency treatment. Officers from the Ganjingzi Street Police Station have stayed in the hospital to monitor him.
11. [Anqing City, Anhui Province] Original Verdicts Against Ms. Dong Jinping and Ms. Yu Zhi Upheld
Ms. Dong Jinping and Ms. Yu Zhi from Wangjiang County were sentenced to a two-year-and-a-half-year prison term and a two-year prison term, respectively, by the Wangjiang Court. Both practitioners appealed to the Anqing City Intermediate Court. The original verdicts were upheld.
Both practitioners will be taken to the Anhui Province Women’s Prison.
12. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yu Haiying Arrested
Ms. Yu Haiying was arrested at Teng'ao Senior High School by officers from the Anshan City Domestic Security Division on the morning of July 7, 2020.
13. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Mr. Liang Gang Arrested
Mr. Liang Gang from Shuangji Town was arrested by officers from the Shuangji Airport Police Station on March 15, 2020. He was released the following day due to the coronavirus pandemic. Every few days, he was told to go to the police station to write a guarantee statement promising to stop practicing Falun Gong, and report on what he had done.
Mr. Liang had no choice but to leave home and look for odd jobs in Jilin City in May. The police tracked him down, however, and were staked out at the building where he rented an apartment.
Four plainclothes officers pushed Mr. Liang to the ground when he went downstairs to go to work at 5:00 a.m. on July 8, 2020. He was arrested. His whereabouts are unknown.
14. [Tianjin] Ms. Liu Fuzhen and Ms. Xue Yanping Taken to Detention Center
Ms. Liu Fuzhen and Ms. Xue Yanping from Xiaozhaozhuang Village, Baigutun Township, Wuqing District were arrested by officers from the Gaocun Township Police Station on the morning of July 7, 2020. They were taken to the Wuqing Detention Center.
15. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Cuixia Harassed
Ms. Wang Cuixia was harassed by officers from the Hancheng Town Police Station and Hancheng Comprehensive Management Office personnel on the morning of July 3, 2020. She was asked if she still practiced Falun Gong. They also tried to force her to sign documents. An officer videotaped the entire process.
16. [Pingquan City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Harassed
Officers from the Yangshuling Town Police Station and the Party secretary of Guanyao Village broke into Ms. Zhang Guizhen’s home in Guanyao and harassed her on June 30, 2020.
Officers from Songshutai Township and the Party secretary of Yanzhangzi Village harassed Ms. Guo Guilan and Mr. Wei Chunshan in Yanzhangzi.
17. [Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Wen Harassed Twice
Liao Xiaoming, head of the Bohui Residential Community police, along with two police officers and three residential community personnel, went to Ms. Wang Wen’s home and harassed her on the morning of July 3, 2020. They tried to force her to sign a guarantee statement promising to stop practicing Falun Gong, but she refused. The residential community personnel located her son that afternoon and harassed him.
Liao andh another police officer, along with Pan Chongguang, director of the Lingbei Community, and Bi Xiumei, the group leader of the community, went to Ms. Wang’s home again on July 8. The officers turned on their body cameras, and once again asked Ms. Wang to sign a guarantee statement promising to no longer practice Falun Gong. She again refused.
18. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Su Xiumin and Ms. Li Qiulian Arrested
Ms. Su Xiumin and Ms. Li Qiulian from Antun Township were arrested at home on July 7, 2020.
19. [Shaodong City, Hunan Province] Mr. Zeng Zhiyuan Filed Appeal
Mr. Zeng Zhiyuan from Shuidongjiang Town was arrested with his wife on October 6, 2019. His wife was released on bail on November 14.
The Procuratorate approved Mr. Zeng’s arrest on November 14. He was tried and sentenced to a five-year prison term by the Shaodong City Court on May 12, 2020.
Mr. Zeng filed an appeal on June 12. He is being held in the Shaodong Detention Center.
20. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Juan Harassed
Bailuquan township administrative personnel and the Shuiyu Village Party secretary broke into Ms. Li Juan’s home and harassed her on July 8, 2020. They told her to sign a guarantee statement saying that she would not practice Falun Gong, which she refused. They then called her husband and two brothers and harassed them, and ordered them to persuade Ms. Li to sign the guarantee statement.
21. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Homes of Ms. Sun Baoxia and Ms. Wen Guihua Ransacked
Liu Gang, the Yuantou Village deputy Party secretary, took Yan Huiqun and other officers from the Zhengshun Township Police Station, and broke into Ms. Sun Baoxia’s home on June 20, 2020. They ransacked the place without presenting a search warrant. They confiscated two audio players, several Falun Dafa books, and copies of Minghui Weekly.
The same four people broke into Ms. Wen Guihua’s home on June 30 and confiscated three copies of Zhuan Falun.
22. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Held in Detention Center
Over 30 people, including officers from the Liaocheng City Domestic Security Division, personnel from Development Zone Comprehensive Management Office, officers from Dongcheng Police Station, and Hang Zhong, director of the Jiuhe Residential Community, broke into the homes of Ms. Zhou Yuhuan and Ms. Fu Guixiang on June 28, 2020, and arrested them. They confiscated Falun Dafa books and printed materials.
They later arrested Ms. Wang Fengying.
The three practitioners are being held in the Liangshui Town Detention Center.
23. [Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Wang Pingchuang and Ms. Zhao Xijuan Taken to Detention Center
Mr. Wang Pingchuang and his wife, Ms. Zhao Xijuan, from Chang’an County were arrested by officers from the Chang’an Police Station for talking to people about Falun Gong in the Weiqu area. They were taken to a detention center.
24. [Jiahe County, Hunan Province] Mr. Li Jianfu Taken to Detention Center
Mr. Li Jianfu was arrested by officers from the Chetouqiao Police Station on June 27, 2020, for talking to people about Falun Gong. The police handcuffed him. He was taken to the Jiahe County Detention Center.
