1. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Qin Sentenced to Three Years in Prison
Ms. Wang Qin was arrested on November 26, 2020. Her home was ransacked. It was recently learned that Ms. Wang was sentenced to three years in prison.
2. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Ms. He Weilin Sentenced to Two Years and Ten Months in Prison
Ms. He Weilin was sentenced to two years and ten months in prison.
3. [Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Wang Shuicheng and Li Zhendi Sentenced to Prison
It was recently learned that Ms. Wang Shuicheng was sentenced to one year and six months in prison. She is currently detained in the Wuchuan City Detention Center and expected to be released in April 2021.
Li Zhendi (gender unknown) was sentenced to one year and three months in prison. Li is now in the Potou District Detention Center and is expected to be released in March 2021. Li has filed an appeal and demanded immediate and unconditional release.
4. [Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Luo Yuanchao Sentenced to One Year in Prison
Ms. Luo Yuanchao was arrested in July 2020 for posting truth-clarifying stickers. She was placed under residential surveillance. Ms. Luo was tried in Renhe Court on December 15, 2020. She was sentenced to one year in prison and fined 5000 yuan.
5. [Tianjin] Three Practitioners Face Trial
Ms. Sun Yanping, Ms. Sun Cuiping, and Ms. Sun Jianping are sisters and live in the Ninghe District. They will be tried in the Ninghe District Court on January 6, 2021.
6. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Hou Ruxian Harassed
Ms. Hou Ruxian lives in Gezhuang Village, Fuzuo Township, Suning County. Her husband Mr. Hu Shuzhuan used to practice Falun Gong before the persecution began. On the afternoon of December 3, 2020, five or six officials from the township and the village met her husband on the street when they were on the way to Ms. Hou’s home. They asked him if he practiced Falun Gong and who he contacted. They even made a harassment call to Ms. Hou’s son and informed him that the township officials had come for his parents.
7. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Li Yuqiong Harassed
Ms. Li Yuqiong received a harassment call from officers in the Lanjiang Town Police Station on December 30, 2020. The man on the phone asked for her address and told her to sign the guarantee statement. Ms. Li has received similar harassment calls from this police station multiple times.
8. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Liang Yi Arrested and Detained
Mr. Luo Yaxiong went on a hunger strike while he was in detention and had to be taken to a hospital for emergency medical care. He remained heavily guarded even in the hospital. Mr. Liang Yi managed to get Mr. Luo out of the hospital and took him to his own home with the help of Mr. Luo’s family around 3 a.m. on December 31, 2020.
Around 4 p.m. that day, 12 plainclothes officers broke into Mr. Liang Yi’s home through a window. Mr. Liang was at work. They handcuffed Mr. Luo Yaxiong behind his back and took him away. They also took another person in the room. Five officers stayed and ransacked Mr. Liang’s home. They left around 7 p.m. and also took Mr. Liang’s family member. Mr. Liang’s family member and the other person were released the next morning.
When Mr. Liang got off work and returned home, he saw that his place had been ransacked. He was arrested when he went to Qinduankou Police Station in the Hanyang District to ask for his Dafa books and other personal belongings that had been taken from his home. Mr. Liang is being held in the Taojialing Detention Center in the Hanyang District.
9. [Yongning County, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Ms. Qiu Guaixia Harassed
Ms. Qiu Guaixia from Minning Town was harassed and threatened by the local police station and other government branches in November 2020. She was ordered to sign the guarantee statement, which she refused to do.
10. [Mishan City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Yang Xiaolin Under Residential Surveillance
Ms. Yang Xiaolin was arrested on December 17, 2020, and detained in the Hulin Detention Center for eight days. She’s been released but is now under residential surveillance.
Her husband Mr. Xing Delu is still in the Mishan Detention Center.
11. [Longan County, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region] Mr. Lu Chihua Taken to Brainwashing Center
Mr. Lu Chihua is a teacher at the Yanjiang Town Middle School. He was reported to the police by the principal, Zeng Zude, for clarifying the truth to students in 2006. Mr. Lu was imprisoned for four years.
Mr. Lu was taken to a brainwashing center in Qinzhou City at the behest of the local Political and Legal Affairs Committee at the beginning of November 2020. The details are unknown.
12. [Anshun City, Guizhou Province] Three Practitioners Harassed or Arrested
More than 14 people, including eight armed police officers and Tang Wenhong, head of the Political and Legal Affairs Committee, showed up at Ms. Zhou Zhijun’s home on the morning of December 28, 2020. They ransacked the place including her son and daughter-in-law's room and her granddaughter’s room. They took anything related to Falun Gong, including the cabinet where the photo of Dafa's founder was placed, the media player to play the exercise music, Dafa books, a laptop, four cell phones, and so on. They even took away two pieces of clothing and Ms. Zhou's handbag. Ms. Zhou refused to sign the guarantee statement. Her husband also refused to sign it on her behalf. Ms. Zhou was arrested and put in detention.
In recent days, many Falun Gong practitioners in Anshun City have been harassed by local community members. Wang Shangqin (gender unknown) and Lin Lanfen (gender unknown) are among them.
13. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Mr. Jin Yongxin Persecuted in Prison
Mr. Jin Yongxin from Qingdao City has been detained in the Jinan City Men’s Prison. His blood pressure was very high but he was not allowed to call his family, to be visited, or to get medical parole.
14. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] 78-year-old Mr. Zeng Jiageng Suffers High Blood Pressure During Detention
Mr. Zeng Jiageng, 78, was arrested on July 9, 2020, by officers from the Gonggongjiaotong Police Department. Mr. Zeng started to have high blood pressure in September 2019. He is currently detained in the Haizhu District Detention Center. His blood pressure is 240/136 and he is almost deaf.
15. [Yishui County, Shandong Province] Zhao Changyu Arrested and Detained
Zhao Changyu (gender unknown) was arrested by Tongjing Police Station officers on the morning of December 22, 2020, for clarifying the truth in Tongjing Market. Zhao’s home was ransacked. Zhao is being held in the Jiehu Detention Center in Yinan County for 15 days.
16. [Yanshan County, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Shuli Arrested
Ms. Liu Shuli from Chengguan Town was arrested at home by officers from the Yanshan County Police Department on December 26, 2020. She is now in the Cangzhou City Detention Center.
17. [Shanghai] Ms. Wang Ye Arrested
Ms. Wang Ye was reported to the police on December 30, 2002, when she clarified the truth in the Minhang District. She was arrested and is now in the Minhang District Detention Center.
18. [Qianxi County, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Yusheng Harassed Repeatedly
Mr. Li Yusheng, 80, was harassed multiple times in August and September 2020. People from the Chengguan Police Station, Lixiang Residential Sub-district Committee, and Xiufengli Community knocked on his door several times. They made several harassment calls to his daughter and threatened her with her children’s schooling and military service qualifications to make her put pressure on her father.
Mr. Li’s daughter received another harassment call from the residential sub-district on the morning of December 25, 2020. The person on the phone asked for her information, including her workplace, her supervisor, her husband’s workplace, etc.
Four people from the residential sub-district and local community went to Mr. Li’s home around 4 p.m. on December 25, 2020. They knocked on the door and tried to get inside, but Mr. Li’s sister stopped them. She told them that her brother had just been discharged from the hospital for a herniated disc.
Mr. Li’s daughter received another harassment call on December 30, 2020, from the residential sub-district and she was told to sign the guarantee statement on behalf of her father, which she refused to do.
19. [Heyuan City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Deng Shie Harassed Repeatedly
Ms. Deng Shie was harassed on December 8, 2020. Li Yingxin, head of the Yuancheng District 610 Office; director Xu from Dongpu Residential Sub-district Committee; and Liu Jing, director of Yongfu Community, demanded that she sign the three statements. They threatened her and said they would not stop until she signed.
Ms. Deng was harassed at home on December 24, 2020, by Qiu Jianxing from the Yongfu Community and the community director.
Ms. Deng received a call from Qiu Jianxing who told her to stop by the community office.
Qiu Jianxing and two officers from the Dongpu Police Station went to Ms. Deng’s home on December 29, 2020.
Ms. Deng received a call on December 30, 2020, from Qiu Jianxing, who informed her that several officials would be visiting her.
20. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Wang Chengdong and Shen Shihua Arrested and Detained
Shen Shihua (gender unknown) was arrested on December 29 and Mr. Wang Chengdong on December 30, 2020. Both are now in the local detention center.
21. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wei Danquan Harassed
Mr. Wei Danquan was harassed at home on the morning of December 26, 2020. Three Daonan Residential Sub-district Committee members and two Daonan Police Station officers went to his home and told his family member to sign the guarantee statement on behalf of Mr. Wei. They warned that their children’s future would be adversely affected. When Mr. Wei and his relative refused to sign, they said that higher officials from the provincial government would come because the “zero-out” campaign had to be completed in Qingdao City before March 2021.
The officials went to his daughter’s former workplace on December 25, 2020, but did not find her since she had left. They got her phone number and made a harassment call. On the afternoon of December 26, 2020, they made another harassment call to Mr. Wei's daughter.
22. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Ms. Wu Yuedi's Pension Suspended
Ms. Wu Yuedi, around 70, was sentenced to prison around 2010 for practicing Falun Gong. Her pension payments were suspended in October 2020 by the Pension Management Center of the Hefei Social Security Bureau.
Ms. Wu lives alone and there are no funds left on her pension card.
23. [Wafangdian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Sun Guangping Arrested
Ms. Sun Guangping from Xietun Town was arrested on the morning of January 3, 2021, for clarifying the truth in the market. Officers from the Xietun Town Police Station ransacked her home and took a media player and a photo of Falun Gong's founder. Her current situation is unknown.
24. [Hengyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Zou Hongyan Arrested and Detained
Ms. Zou Hongyan was arrested on December 8, 2020, by officers from the Railway Police Station for clarifying the truth. She was detained for five days.
25. [Qingtongxia City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Ms. Chen Chen’s Case Submitted to Procuratorate
Twelve officers from the Qingtongxia City Police Department broke into the home of Ms. Chen Chen’s younger sister on the evening of October 29, 2020. Both Ms. Chen and her sister were arrested. Ms. Chen’s home was later ransacked.
Ms. Chen has been detained for more than two months since then and no one has been allowed to visit her. It was learned that her case was transferred to the procuratorate two weeks ago.
26. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Gu Guiyan Arrested and Detained
Four officers from the Lianjia Town Police Station in the Kuancheng District went to Ms. Gu Guiyan’s home and took her to the police station. They ordered her to sign the guarantee statement, which she refused to do. She was taken to the Weizigou Detention House the next day and held for five days.
After she was released, the local police continued to harass her and pressure her to sign the statement. She had no choice but to leave home.
27. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Ms. Yang Yanxia Arrested and Detained
Ms. Yang Yanxia was arrested in Changchun on December 23, 2020. She is now in the Changchun Detention Center for 15 days. Her family is not allowed to visit her.
28. [Qianxi County, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Yinqiu Harassed
Ms. Wang Yinqiu was harassed by deputy Zhu Jianying of the Qianxi County Domestic Security Division and was subjected to 15 days of detention, to be carried out outside the facility.
Ms. Wang was arrested on June 20, 2020, by officers from the Chengguan Police Station for clarifying the truth. She was fined 1000 yuan and released that same day.
In the following months, she has been harassed constantly and ordered to sign the three statements. The harassment put so much pressure on her that she developed high blood pressure and had to be hospitalized. During that period, her daughter-in-law received harassing calls from the Chengguan Police Station, demanding that Ms. Wang sign the three statements.
29. [Qianxi County, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhao Kuixiang Harassed
Mr. Zhao Kuixiang was harassed at home on the evening of December 31, 2020. Officials from the Qianxi County Disciplinary Committee came with several printed materials and told him to sign them, which he refused to do. He told them, “It is not good for you to do this.”
30. [Xichang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wu Cailian Arrested and Detained
Ms. Wu Cailian was reported to the police in mid-December 2020 for clarifying the truth to the pupils in the primary school. She was arrested by officers from the Xicheng Police Station. She refused to cooperate and was detained for 15 days. She has returned home.
31. [Rongcheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Qu Shulan and Her Two Daughters Harassed
Ms. Qu Shulan lives in Qujiatai Village, Lidao Town. Village Party director Qu Yuanbo and village official Wang Likun went to Ms. Qu’s home on November 20, 2020, and told her to sign the guarantee statement, which she refused to do.
Ms. Qu's oldest daughter was harassed on November 10, 2020, by village Party director Liu Yubo and threatened with her children’s future. She refused to cooperate. Her husband also refused to sign the guarantee statement on behalf of his wife.
Ms. Qu's younger daughter was harassed on November 11, 2020, by the village Party director and village official Sun Maoxun. They threatened her with the loss of government benefits and her children’s future. She refused to cooperate.
