1. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Tao Lihua Incarcerated

Ms. Tao Lihua was arrested by officers from the Yihe Police Station on June 17, 2020. The Longquanyi District Procuratorate issued an arrest warrant for her on July 27, 2020. She was sentenced to 18 months in prison by the Longquanyi District Court, and was incarcerated in the Sixth Ward of Chengdu Women’s Prison on June 9, 2021.

2. [Yunfu City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Chen Huorong Sentenced

Mr. Chen Huorong was sentenced to three years in prison by the Yun’an District Court.

3. [Beijing] Mr. Yang Shijie Sentenced

Mr. Yang Shijie was arrested for “spending paper currency with Falun Gong messages in a supermarket” by officers from the Shunyi Police Department on March 11, 2021. His home was ransacked. The First Branch of Beijing Procuratorate issued an arrest warrant for him on April 14.

The police department submitted his case to the Shunyi District Procuratorate on June 9, 2021. The procuratorate filed charges against him with the Shunyi District Court on July 23. The court held an online hearing on August 21. Only he and his defense attorney were allowed to participate. The hearing was just a show, and was hurriedly ended. He was sentenced to 18 months in prison.

He has been held at the Shunyi District Detention Center for seven months. He said he would appeal.

4. [Xingtai City, Hebei Province] Ms. Yang Yanqiu Sentenced

Ms. Yang Yanqiu was tried by the Xiangdu District Court on the afternoon of September 16, 2021. It was learned recently that she was sentenced to one year in prison and one year of probation, and fined 2,000 yuan.

5. [Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Xie Haiying Harassed

Ms. Xie Haiying was harassed at home by officers from the Kaifaqu Police Station on the morning of September 12, 2021. They wanted her cell phone number and to photograph her, but she refused.

6. [Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Jia Shufen Harassed

Ms. Jia Shufen was harassed at home by four officers from the Dongxianpo Police Station on September 2, 2021. They ordered her to write a guarantee statement promising to stop practicing Falun Gong. She refused.

7. [Qixia City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Chunling Harassed

Ms. Li Chunling was harassed at home by officers from the Sujiadian Police Station. She left home to avoid further harassment.

8. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Min Guixiang Sentenced

Ms. Min Guixiang was arrested on April 23, 2020. She was sentenced to four years in prison. She is incarcerated in the Zaohua Prison. The prison guards have denied her family’s requests to visit her.

9. [Shanghai] Mr. Chen Jie and Ms. Zhou Ling Harassed

Mr. Chen Jie and Ms. Zhou Ling were monitored and tracked by clerks from the Hudong residential district and officers from the police station during the October 1 holidays in 2021.

10. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Liao Xiaoping Arrested

Ms. Liao Xiaoping, from Wuliting Village, Chengbei Town, was arrested after surveillance cameras recorded her as she distributed Falun Gong flyers on the morning of October 3, 2021.

11. [Shanghai] Four Practitioners Face Trial

The Fengxian District No. 6 Court scheduled separate trials against Mr. Chen Shilong, Ms. Sun Zhuoying, Ms. Sun Baomei, and Ms. Yang Hui for the afternoon of October 26, 2021.

12. [Fengcheng City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Dong Junfa Harassed

Mr. Dong Junfa’s home was searched by two people from the Fengcheng City Security Brigade and village head Fan Xijun on the morning of September 10, 2021. They tore off a calligraphy wall decoration which had the Chinese character for “good fortune.”

His home was searched again by two officers from the Fengcheng City Police Department, two officers from the Hongqi Town Police Station, and village head Fan Xijun on September 17, 2021. They confiscated his Falun Gong printouts, photographed him, and confiscated his belongings.

13. [Deyang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Deng Xianghui Harassed

Ms. Deng Xianghui’s home was searched by the Majing Town Community Party secretary Ou Yunfang, two police helpers, and two agents from the Majing Town government on August 31, 2021. They seized a copy of the book Zhuan Falun and tore down a couplet and a landscape painting from her door.

14. [Deyang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Linghu Dayong Harassed

Ms. Linghu Dayong was harassed at work by officer Li from the Chengdong Police Station, Shifang City, on September 17, 2021. The officer ordered her to sign on a “zero out (practitioners)” document and be photographed. The officer claimed no one would bother her any more if she signed it. She refused.

15. [Qixia City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Meiling and Ms. Wang Xiumin Detained

Officers from the Sujiadian Police Station went to the homes of Ms. Zhang Meiling and Ms. Wang Xiumin in Panjiadian Village at 6:00 a.m. on September 30, 2021. The officers took them, saying they would “go to police station and sign their names, and then they’d return home.” Ms. Zhang and Ms. Wang are being held at the Qixia Detention Center.

16. [Shanghai] Mr. Shen Zhigang Monitored

Mr. Shen Zhigang has been monitored around the clock since September 29, 2021.

17. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Cao Shufen Sentenced

Ms. Cao Shufen of Guan County was sentenced to two years in prison. She was incarcerated in Jinan Women’s Prison in July 2021.

18. [Beijing] Ms. Gong Ruiping Abused in Detention Center

Ms. Gong Ruiping is being held in the Shunyi District Detention Center. She held a hunger strike to protest her arrest. Deputy warden Liu goaded four male inmates into dragging her into the men’s room where her face was slapped with a shoe sole. Inmates were ordered to take turns watching others in the cell. She refused to be part of that and was handcuffed and shackled.

19. [Beijing] Hospital Forces Employees to Sign “Guarantee Statement”

Ms. Wang Hefang worked as a nurse in the Pinggu District Hospital. After she was arrested for practicing Falun Gong, the hospital forced employees to sign guarantee statements that they would “stay away from (slanderous term deleted).” Their intention was to defame Falun Gong.

20. [Beijing] Sun Wenli Detained

Sun Wenli, (gender unknown) from Fangshan District, was arrested at home on July 21, 2021. Sun is being held in the Dexing District No. 3 Detention Center.

21. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Xie Wanmeng Incarcerated

Mr. Xie Wanmeng, an outstanding Go coach, was sentenced to three years and six months in prison. He was transferred from the Longgang Detention Center to the No. 15 Ward of Sihui Prison on September 27, 2021. His remaining prison term is about 14 months.

22. [Chongqing] Mr. Xu Mingjin Missing

Mr. Xu Mingjin, from Shapingba District, has been missing since October 2, 2021.

23. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Liu Yan Detained

Ms. Liu Yan and her husband were arrested at the factory they own by officers from the Wuhua Police Station, the Haiyuanshi Police Station, and the Heilinpu Police Station on September 29, 2021. The officers ransacked their home and confiscated their printer and three notebook computers. Ms. Liu and her housemaid were held in the police department for 24 hours. Her housemaid was released on bail. Ms. Liu was taken to the Kunming City Detention Center. Her situation is unknown.

24. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Guo Yanhua Incarcerated

Ms. Guo Yanhua is being incarcerated in the Liaoning Province Women’s Prison.
