Hong Kong Practitioner: Persisting in Clarifying the Truth and Saving People Despite the Danger

(Minghui.org) I started practicing Falun Dafa in 1999, and I am grateful for Master’s compassion. I would like to share my experiences while clarifying the truth at tourist spots in Hong Kong.

One day in 1999, I went to a client’s company for a service call, only to find that the item in question was not our company’s product. On my way back I went to a bookstore and saw the book Zhuan Falun. I read it for half an hour, found it fascinating, and bought a copy.

After I finished reading Zhuan Falun. I decided to practice Falun Dafa. With that thought, Master began taking care of me.

I wanted to learn the exercises. One day when I stood at a crosswalk looking for a practice site, I had the urge to turn left. Although I knew this could be Master’s hint, I turned right. Eventually I found the practice site after a long walk. I later learned that the practice site was near that crosswalk, but on the left. If I had followed my initial thought to go left, I would have quickly arrived at the practice site.

From this experience I knew that Master was taking care of me and I became a sincere Falun Dafa practitioner.

Master Encourages Me to Persist in Clarifying the Truth

I started clarifying the truth to people face to face in 2009. My experience in the past 12 years showed me that persistence is key. As long as we step forward and have the heart to tell people the facts, Master will give us wisdom and arrange predestined people to come to us. All we have to do is persist.

Clarifying the truth at tourists spots in Hong Kong is challenging. We have to pay attention to every thought and maintain righteous thoughts at all times. The Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) organization, the Youth Care Association, interfered with and attacked practitioners every day for eight years. They were always there harassing us. If our thoughts were not on the Fa, the tourists walked away and missed the chance to listen to the truth.

After the coronavirus outbreak in early 2020, there were no tourists, so we changed our way of clarifying the truth. We started to distribute informational materials and newspapers at major intersections and talk to people about Falun Dafa.

At first, I did not know what to say because at the tourist spots, we mostly talk to tourists from China. They usually had time to read the displays and talk to us. But most people in Hong Kong are busy. They are usually walking to or from work and do not linger.

At first, I just handed out informational leaflets and did not talk to people. One day a person came up and we talked about quitting the CCP. I told him about the CCP’s destructive nature. He quit the CCP easily. I felt encouraged and continued to speak to people and helped more than ten people quit the CCP that day.

I believed that person was arranged by Master. I overcame my fear with Master’s encouragement.

More Practitioners Should Clarify the Truth Face to Face

Due to the persistent efforts of all practitioners, it’s been relatively easy these years to help people quit the CCP. People learn the truth in various ways, including through our leaflets and newspapers. All we need to do is to ask them to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations and most people quit within two or three minutes.

After the tourists sites were closed, some practitioners felt it was too time-consuming to commute to the shopping areas, so they didn’t want to come out and talk to people face to face. One practitioner’s experience was very touching. She came and distributed leaflets even if she only had half an hour. In the beginning she only handed out materials and did not talk to people. Now she can help four or five people quit the CCP. Some days she helps more than ten people quit the CCP.

I realized that as long as we persist, the situation will change. As long as we persist to step forward to reach people, even if we don’t know how to talk to people at first, Master will unlock our wisdom. As long as we have the heart to save people, Master will arrange for predestined people to come to us and be saved.

Overcoming Fear

At first there was no such thing as reporting us to the police. But after the CCP imposed the National Security Law in Hong Kong, some people felt they could persecute practitioners in Hong Kong the same way they did in China. Sometimes I felt very pressured.

For example, one day a young man in his thirties videotaped me right in front of my face while I talked to people about Falun Dafa. He said he would report me on the National Security website. I was afraid at first, but then I thought, “It’s okay. Even if the CCP starts persecuting us in Hong Kong tomorrow, I would continue to tell people the facts today. Master will arrange what happens tomorrow. The only thing that I need to do is to save people—this is our mission.”

Facing Police Interference

Most police officers in Hong Kong have also been deceived by the CCP’s propaganda, just like those in China. Most officers were rude when they came and stopped us from clarifying the truth. Once, I was reported to the police while I distributed leaflets. A few officers drove up. I could tell they were new officers because they all looked very young and kind.

I told them the facts and talked about the CCP’s live organ harvesting. I told them that my neighbor’s friend had kidney disease and needed a kidney transplant. She waited for years but could not wait for an organ donation. Then she learned she could go to a hospital in Guangzhou in China. She spent more than 400,000 yuan and had an organ transplant in only two weeks.

The officers became silent and continued to listen. I explained that thousands of people got organ transplants in China every year—but only 2,000 to 3,000 people are on death row each year, so where did the CCP get so many organs? I said that most of them were taken from Falun Dafa practitioners.

After hearing this, the police did not stop me from distributing newspapers. They registered my identity information and left. I realized that clarifying the truth was the key to everything. Most people still have a conscience. As long as we explain, they can still be saved even if they work for the CCP.

Many times I encountered rude officers and some refused to listen. When I looked inward I always found this was due to my loopholes. The officers were rude if I had a competitive mentality.

From my experience it’s best to keep calm in all situations. For example, during a recent truth clarification activity, the officer in charge came on aggressively. He ordered us to leave immediately and refused to listen. I knew my loopholes invited this test. However, I understood that I was there to save people instead of being tested by the old forces. I would clarify the truth to people even if this officer chose not to accept the truth. So I didn’t argue with him and we left. We went to another place and continued to clarify the truth there. We ended up helping more people than usual to quit the CCP.

From this experience I realized that facing interference from the police, we should try our best to clarify the truth to them, but not be moved by their attitude. If they do not allow us to clarify the truth in one place, we can go elsewhere and save people.

Nothing Is Coincidental in Cultivation

Once I greeted a man who was standing under a tree, looking at his cell phone, but he didn’t respond. Usually, I would walk away and continue to greet other people. Just as I was turning away, a fruit fell from the tree and hit me on my right shoulder. I thought, “Nothing is coincidental.” So I went back and greeted him again.

This time he responded and quickly quit the Young Pioneers.

I realized that Master arranged everything for us, including who we encounter and when. It is all arranged. All we need to do is to come out, talk to people and tell them the facts. Like the incident I just mentioned, if I had left, that person would have missed the chance to hear the truth.

Conclusion

Hong Kong is now in a very special environment. With the Hong Kong version of the National Security Law in effect, many organizations were disbanded. Many people were imprisoned. People who speak out for freedom and human rights are in a panic. Immigration has become a hot topic.

However, Falun Dafa practitioners are unique. Although our truth-clarification booths were taken down, our newspapers were not affected too much. We can still distribute newspapers and other informational materials despite the interference.

I realized that this is a new environment arranged by Master. The more practitioners there are who do not retreat and insist on coming out to save people, the more favorable our environment will be. On the contrary, if more practitioners are afraid and do not insist on saving people, we will encounter more interference. Our environment will become more dangerous.

I hope practitioners refuse to be influenced by the national security law in Hong Kong and continue to do what practitioners should do. Everyone can talk to people on the street about the truth. Every life is precious. I hope we can save as many people as possible.
