I Need to Be Worthy of Being a Dafa Disciple

(Minghui.org) I feel that time has been pushed even faster since the start of 2020. So many things are happening every day, both domestically and abroad, that one can hardly keep up. I tell myself I need to do better to be worthy of the title of Dafa disciple.

Since the Covid pandemic began, many people lost their lives before they could hear the truth. So I feel my responsibility to clarify the truth to people is even greater. I am a particle of Dafa who spreads the truth. Whoever listens to the truth will have hope. I should not have fear or slack off.

Treating Surveillance Cameras with Righteous Thoughts

Mainland China has its Skynet with surveillance cameras installed on most streets in villages and cities. A lot of residential buildings are densely covered with cameras. When I heard that fellow practitioners were recorded by a camera when they distributed truth-clarification materials, I hesitated to go out. Then Master Li reminded me of this paragraph of Fa:

“... you should truly have no fear in your mind, be confident and aboveboard, do what you should do, continue on the path to divinity in a noble and dignified manner, and not be afraid. The policemen, too, are beings who await salvation. “If they come, then I’ll give them the truth”—there really are some Dafa disciples who have acted that way. They have won admiration from the police, who even told them upon leaving, “Stay safe!” Just extraordinary.” (“Fa Teaching at the 2013 Greater New York Fa Conference”)

Reading this brought tears to my eyes. Master is watching every thought of mine.

One practitioner could not let go of his fear of surveillance cameras. He tried to alter his posture to avoid being recognized by the cameras when he was distributing fliers. With this wrong thought, he sprained his ankle walking downstairs. I sensed that when we do things to save people, the process will be smooth only if we treat everything with righteous thoughts.

Every time I went out to distribute materials, I said in my mind to the sentient beings, “I am here to bring you the truth to save you. You must read these carefully. The camera shall not capture good people.”

I recently heard that practitioners in neighboring cities were persecuted on a large scale. I sensed that I need to walk every step properly, study the Fa more to ensure my own safety, and prevent judicial personnel and the police from harming their own futures by persecuting practitioners.

Dafa Practitioners Do Have Supernormal Power

My retired mother-in-law recently asked me to get her pension payment for her. I carried her deposit book in my bag, only to find it was right next to the cell phone when I got to the bank. I worried this may have damaged the magnetic strip. When the clerk swiped the deposit book a few times, it failed each time. He returned the book to me, telling me the magnetic strip had been damaged and told me to get a new book.

Walking out of the bank, I thought that since I practice Falun Dafa, my gong (energy) has strong electrical and magnetic fields. So I used my fingers to stroke the magnetic strip and said to it, “I’m sorry I was not careful. Let me help you restore your magnetic field.” I was confident the strip was fine. So I returned to the bank and, sure enough, it worked when the clerk swiped the book.

I went to the bank another time to deposit money. To make the deposit amount even, I added in two 10-yuan bills that had truth-clarification statements printed on them. I put them facing downward, but to my surprise, the clerk flipped over the two bills and exposed the statements. I was nervous, pondering what I should say. However, the clerk appeared to have seen nothing and quickly counted the money.

I cannot see through my celestial eye. Yet from these two incidents, I strongly believe practitioner have supernormal power. I know that every time I send forth righteous thoughts, my supernormal power is clearing away evil elements. The righteous and the evil are fighting in another dimension. Master would never ask us to do useless things.

Eliminating My Intolerance and Reckless Speech

I could not tolerate bad behavior or people. For example, I felt disgusted when I saw regular people abuse their position to obtain personal gain or do other improper things. I thought I was a straightforward and upright person.

I did not think there was anything wrong with this attitude. Then I recently discovered this is a manifestation of my lacking benevolence. To cultivate is to cultivate our own hearts. The law of the universe will govern those people who do bad things; they will pay with their virtue in the future. I would also have followed along and done bad things in this big dye vat of ordinary society if I didn’t practice Falun Dafa. Regular people typically do not hold themselves to high standards, since they do not have the Fa in their hearts to constrain them. As cultivators, we need to reflect on and check ourselves when we see other people do bad things.

Seeing this attachment, I began to focus on the good points in others rather than their shortcomings. My manner of speech became calmer, and my facial expression was kind.

I also sent forth righteous thoughts to communicate with the police who participated in the persecution of practitioners for their immediate gain. I said in my heart, “Stop persecuting cultivators. It will put you and your family in the most perilous position.”

Not paying attention to speech is another attachment I have. I often chatted about ordinary affairs with colleagues at work and made jokes sometimes. Recently, a younger colleague spoke abrasively to me and made me lose face in front of others. I felt upset at the time. But it was I who didn’t speak carefully and unintentionally hurt others first.

I also realized that cultivators should not comment on everyday conversations that are not related to their job. After I found my deficiencies, the young colleague greeted me warmly the next day and offered me some fruit. I knew the surroundings had changed after I elevated myself by looking inward.

We are in an unusual age. Everything happening in the world is arranged by Master. I want to fulfill my promise and walk well the path Master has arranged for me.
