(Minghui.org) A Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province resident was sentenced to three years for raising awareness about the persecution of her faith in Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline that has been targeted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.
Ms. Wang Bihong, in her 40s, was arrested on November 26, 2020, after being reported for talking to people about Falun Gong. Her Falun Gong books, computer and two printers were confiscated. She was sentenced to three years by the Yuhua District Court in November 2021.
Ms. Wang’s husband works out of town. Her arrest dealt a heavy blow to her parents in their 80s, as well as her mother-in-law, who is nearly 90 and relied on her for care. Her own teenage son was also left in a dire situation.
Prior to her latest sentencing, Ms. Wang has been held at a brainwashing center several times and served 1.5 years in a labor camp for practicing Falun Gong. She was detained for 37 days in 2019 and harassed again during the “Zero-out” campaign in 2020 (a concerted effort to force every practitioner on the government’s list to renounce Falun Gong).
