(Minghui.org) A Fuxin City, Liaoning Province resident has been held incommunicado for over ten months for his faith in Falun Gong, a spiritual and meditation discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.
Mr. Huo Yanhong, around 50, was arrested on April 28, 2020 after being reported for talking to people about Falun Gong. The police ransacked his home and held him at Heituozi Detention Center in Zhangwu County.
When Mr. Huo’s brother and son went to the detention center in late November 2020, the guards rejected their visitation request and refused to provide any information about him. The guards accepted the 1,000 yuan in cash they deposited for him but refused to accept the clothes they brought to him.
Three other Falun Gong practitioners are held at the Heituozi Detention Center at the time of writing. Mr. Bai Yufu was arrested on December 2, 2019. Mr. Liu Xingguang and Mr. Zhang Fengcheng were arrested on August 15, 2020.
Mr. Bai and his wife, Ms. Zhang Lixin, who was arrested on the same day, stood trial on March 5, 2021, and are now awaiting verdicts. The case status of the other practitioners remains unknown.
