Let Go of the Attachment to Cellphones

(Minghui.org) Master has explained many times the danger of being attached to cellphones and other electronic devices in cultivation. The many real-life losses caused by practitioners not paying attention to the security of their cellphones are also evident to all.　

However, some fellow practitioners still take chances on cellphone security, and they have all kinds of excuses for it. Some depend on it for many things and have a hard time extricating themselves.

Why are Dafa disciples who have cultivated to this day still so favorable to the electronic products of the modern degenerated society?

Master has taught us:

“Have you ever seen a Buddha carrying a jug of wine? No.” (Lecture Seven, Zhuan Falun)

“Have you ever seen a Buddha or a Tao sitting there with a cigarette in his mouth? How can that be possible?” (Lecture Seven, Zhuan Falun)

“Supernormal abilities are potential capabilities of the human body. With the development of our human society, the human mind has become increasingly complicated, attaching more importance to “reality” and becoming more dependent on so-called modern tools. Consequently, human innate abilities have gradually atrophied.” (Lecture Nine, Zhuan Falun)

Think about it this way: Since the Buddha did not carry a wine jug or a cigarette, have we seen any of them carrying a cellphone every day? Being attached to the so-called modern tools isn’t only a strong attachment, but it also brings about potential safety hazards to practitioners and those around them.
