(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 18 cities or counties in 10 provinces, where at least 64 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Zhao Shuixian, Zhi Yinshuan, and Zou Ren’e (their genders are unknown) from the Weibin District were reported to the police for talking to people about Falun Gong. They were arrested by officers from the Dongdajie Police Station in the Chencang District on March 30, 2021. Their homes were ransacked and they were officially placed under arrest. They are held in the Baoji City No. 2 Detention Center.
Ms. Cao, 67, went to Ms. Li Xianghong’s home on March 30, 2021, and was arrested by officers from the Binhai Police Station who was ransacking Ms. Li’s home.
Ms. Cao’s home was ransacked and she was held in the Muping Detention Center. She was officially placed under arrest by the Laishan District Procuratorate.
Ms. Cao Yanchun has been arrested 12 times and sentenced for practicing Falun Dafa.
Ms. Liu Guihua was arrested by the Luolong District Police Department and was officially placed under arrest. She was held in the Luoyang City Detention Center.
Mr. Fu Yunping left home to avoid persecution. He was arrested on May 1, 2021, while doing odd jobs in Daqing City. He is being held in Qiqihar City.
Several police officers, led by staff members from the Yingbinlu Community Management Office, went to Mr. Hu Zhonghou’s home on May 6, 2021. They took photos of him with their cell phones. They also took out some forms for him to fill out and told him to give up practicing Falun Gong.
Mr. Yang Jianlu was sentenced to eight years in prison and fined 10,000 yuan on March 16, 2021. His family has appealed to the Zhangjiakou City Intermediate Court.
Recently, police officers and staff members from local community management offices went to the homes of several practitioners and pressured them to sign guarantee statements renouncing Falun Gong.
Practitioners known to have been harassed are: Shan Ping, Luo Xiancui, Zhang Ruiyun, Chen Chuyun, Li Yongxiu, Luo Changyun, Du Xingqin, Du Fengying, and Wang Yiyan.
Division head Liu Chang’en of the Changyi City Domestic Security Division and five others went to Ms. Zhang Xuefang’s home on March 3, 2021. They took photos and videos while ransacking her home. They confiscated a photo of the founder of Falun Gong, 53 Falun Dafa books, some printed materials, a computer, a printer, printer paper, and a satellite dish.
Officers took Ms. Zhang to the Changyi City Law Enforcement Case Center for interrogation. Ms. Zhang was released on bail at noon the following day.
Liu called Ms. Zhang on the morning of March 10 and told her to go to the police department. She was taken to the center again by Liu and another person.
On the morning of April 30, Liu and another person again took Ms. Zhang to the center for interrogation. They told her that her case would be turned over to the Changyi City Procuratorate.
The 610 Office of Laiwu District Domestic Security Division harassed Mr. Luan Yicai, a teacher at Laiwu City No. 17 Middle School, through school officials as part of the “zero-out” campaign.
Recently, several school officials talked to Mr. Luan, trying to persuade him to give up practicing Falun Gong and write the “three statements.”
Officers from the Xingshutun Town Police Station, Jinzhou District, harassed Ning Renzhi (gender unknown) several times and demanded that Ning’s spouse sign paperwork for Ning. Officers ransacked Ning’s home again and confiscated a set of Falun Dafa books and a recorder on May 6, 2021.
Ning was taken to a police car. After getting into the car, Ning started having spasms. After arriving at the police station, Ning’s convulsions worsened. The officers took Ning home that day.
Ms. Xiao Genxiang, 71, a retired employee of the Nanchang Hongdu Group, was harassed by a young police officer at her home in the Hongdu Community on the afternoon of April 28, 2021. The officer photographed her and then left.
Mr. Zhang Jianjun, Ms. Weng Qiuxiang, Ms. He Heling, and Ms. Zhang Yanping were arrested by domestic security officers in August 2020. They are still being held in the Anyang City Detention Center.
Ms. Zhang, in her 60s, was previously arrested and taken to brainwashing center. Her case was filed with the procuratorate and the court.
Two police officers led by director Zhou Ming of Nanxinzhuang Village, Dongwang Town, Dingzhou City, went to Ms. Bi Ying’s home on April 29, 2021. They verified her name and asked her if she still practiced Falun Gong. While talking, Ms. Bi noticed that one of them was videotaping, and she stepped forward and stopped the person. When she clarified the facts about Falun Dafa and the persecution to them, they turned around and left.
Mr. Zheng Dahai was arrested a month ago and is being held in the Yaojia Detention Center.
Ms. Jiang Shuhua from Shahekou District took the train to Anshan to visit relatives on May 3, 2021. On the train, the police checked her national ID card, searched her luggage, and photographed her. On the return trip on May 7, she was searched and photographed again on the train.
A group of officers from the Xishui County 610 Office and the Wanggang Town Police Station broke into a practitioner’s home in Wanggang Town on April 25, 2021. They arrested practitioners Lin Youjia, Tang Guitao, Xia Guihua, and Yueqin who were there reading the Falun Dafa teachings.
In order to prevent their families from finding the four practitioners, officers took them to the Luotian County Detention Center. Practitioners Lin and Tang clarified the facts to the guards. The guards believed that these two practitioners were not easy to manage, so they were unwilling to accept them. The two practitioners were released the next morning. The other two practitioners were detained for 10 days.
Practitioner Chen talked with people about Falun Gong and was followed by domestic security officers on May 4, 2021. Chen was arrested and taken to the police station, and held there for two days. After failing the physical examination, Chen was taken home. Officers ransacked Chen’s home and confiscated Falun Dafa books, a printer, and paper bills with Falun Gong facts printed on them.
The officers took Chen’s daughter Ms. Wei Jiangmei and another practitioner who was visiting them to the Shixi Police Station. Ms. Wei and the other practitioner are being held in the Shixi Detention Center.
In April 2021, officers from the Huayuan Township Police Station followed orders and harassed Falun Gong practitioners in villages within their jurisdiction on a large scale. At present, 20 people are known to have been harassed.
Ms. Zhang Xueying in Huangyan Village was harassed at home by the officers on April 23. They wrote down her husband’s cell phone number and then went to Ms. Zhang Xiuying’s home in the same village.
On April 22, four officers went to Ms. Ma Yinfeng’s home in Xiluzhuang Village.
Officers went to the homes of Ms. Zhang Kuiyan, Ms. Wang Xiuying, and Ms. Liu Yulan in Xiluzhuang Village on April 23. They brought with them video recorders. Most practitioners were asked if they still practiced Falun Gong, what they had been doing, and where their family members worked. The officers registered the phone numbers of the three practitioners’ husbands and children. They also took a look at different rooms in the practitioners’ homes.
Officers called Ms. Ma Guifen in Xiluzhuang Village at around 8 a.m. on April 30, 2021, and told her that they were going to visit her at her home, which she refused.
On April 23, two officers broke into Ms. Zhou Cuihua’s home in Dongchengyu Village and confiscated a copy of Zhuan Falun. Then they broke into Ms. Zhang Yulian’s home and confiscated a weekly publication and a Falun Dafa book. These people then went to the homes of practitioners Heng Fengju, Guo Sulian, and Zhao Yueyan and confiscated a Chinese New Year painting with Falun Gong information on it. They also registered the cell phone numbers of the three practitioners’ family members. On April 30, officers called Ms. Zhao Yueyan’s husband, who was working out of town, and asked him what he knew about Falun Dafa and when he would be back.
On April 25, Mr. Li Zhenhai of Dongchengyu Village returned home from out of town since it was time to plow the fields. Two officers broke in and ransacked his home. They confiscated photos of the founder of Falun Gong, a 2021 calendar, {Minghui Weekly, and Chinese New Year paintings.
From April 22 to 30, officers also harassed practitioners Yang Xiujun, Wang Xiuge, and Zhang Lanzhi in Liugouyu Village. The Communist Party secretary of Songshanyu Village called Mr. Liu Qingge, who was at work during the day. The Party secretary asked when he would come home and wrote down his cell phone number.
Two officers from the Dachang Town Police Station went to 80-year-old Ms. Zhang Zhenmin’s home in Houdian Village in mid-April 2021. They searched the two rooms and pressured her to sign a document.
Ms. Zhang has been detained several times and held in the Daying Brainwashing Center in Tongzhou District, Beijing. In the spring of 2006, she was taken to a forced labor camp for two years.
On the morning of April 21, 2021, Wang Haihui, an official of Erdao Village, Yongling Town, and two people from the town government went to the homes of Falun Gong practitioners in Erdao Village to harass them. The officials told Falun Gong practitioners, who were at home, or their family members to sign statements renouncing Falun Gong.
Practitioners who were harassed include: Li Qinglu, Yu Fenglan, Li Qingsheng, Li’s wife, Tang Meiai, Yu Shubin, Yue Xiuguo, and Yue’s wife.
On the afternoon of April 21, Sun Sheng, Party secretary of Jiahe Village, Yongling Town, and officials from the town government went to the homes of practitioners Zhao Changlin, Wen Lianju, and Chen Changping in Jiahe Village.
They told the practitioners to fill in the timetable of the visit, sign a “repentance statement,” and so on. Seeing that the practitioners were not cooperating, they went to look for their family members and pressured them to sign paperwork. They threatened, “If you don’t sign, we will keep coming back.”
