(Minghui.org) A Changsha City, Hunan Province resident was arrested at home at around 9:00 p.m. on May 30, 2021 for his faith in Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.
Mr. Dai Xuebing is the sole breadwinner in his family. With a 4.5-year-old son, an ill wife, and elderly parents in their 80s all relying on him, his arrest left his entire family in deep despair.
Mr. Dai, a 49-year-old native of Yuanjiang City, Hunan Province, has been running a logistics company in Changsha for over ten years. Being a supplier of a major construction company, his detention is causing tremendous disruption to the operation of his business.
The police began to follow and harass Mr. Dai in January 2021, after he had a phone call with a Falun Gong practitioner who was looking for a job in Changsha. Mr. Dai tried to clarify the facts about Falun Gong to the police, and urged them not to participate in the persecution, but they wouldn’t listen.
Following Mr. Dai’s arrest on May 30, the police said to his wife that he had been recorded by surveillance camera distributing Falun Gong materials. Those who went with him were also arrested and they would be sentenced to prison.
