[International Online Fahui] Race Against Time to Tell the Truth about Falun Dafa at Work

The COVID-19 pandemic that spread all over the whole world in 2020 brought fear with it. Many people somehow sense that disaster is coming.

As a Falun Dafa practitioner, I realized that I should not just follow everyday people to talk about the virus. Rather, I needed to go beyond the pandemic itself and focus on our most important mission—saving people.

Saving People at Work

I joined a biomedical company in May 2020. We produce test kits for the COVID-19 virus.

I told myself that I had to cultivate myself well and tell the truth about Falun Dafa to people at work.

My company hires people from all different ethnic groups, including U.S. residents and those from other countries such as China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, the Philippines, and Mexico. Many of them were hired around the same time I was. And there was a high turnover.

I brought both the Chinese and English brochures about Falun Dafa and the Epoch Times newspaper to share with my colleagues. One of them likes to watch YouTube channels, so I recommended a few Dafa practitioners’ channels to her. She told me that she “likes them so much.” She watches them every day and tells me about them.

I saw a few coworkers chatting after work one day, so I joined them and handed them copies of the Epoch Times newspaper. I told them that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) covered up the pandemic in China, which allowed it to spread globally. I said I thought this virus should be called the “CCP virus” and that everyone should realize how evil the CCP is and reject it. They agreed with me. When I told them about Falun Dafa, one said he had heard of it and another had seen the Shen Yun show.

An incident in June last year made me realize the urgency of saving people. A client’s test turned out to be positive for the virus. It was the first positive result in our facility. Everyone was scared and our company started testing everyone.

I was calm. I knew Master was protecting me. I had no fear—just the urge to save people and not to waste this good opportunity to tell people the truth. I felt Master had strengthened me.

While we were all at work waiting for our test results, I took the opportunity to talk to many of my coworkers, sometimes one by one and sometimes several at a time. I told my Chinese colleagues that the virus targeted the CCP and people should quit the CCP to stay safe. Some of them quit the CCP right away. I told others that the pandemic was caused by the CCP’s cover-up.

After I’d talked to everyone in the lab, I went to talk to people in the offices. Some I didn’t know personally, but I knocked on their doors and went in to talk to them. I asked them if they were scared since we had a positive case. Most said they were. Then I explained to them the CCP’s role in spreading the virus.

People were calmer after understanding the truth. Then our results were ready—everyone was negative. My colleagues left the offices relieved. Many waved to me.

A Filipino coworker caught the virus in July last year. A Chinese colleague who worked with him also tested positive. I’d helped the Chinese colleague quit the CCP earlier. He told me that he didn’t have any symptoms but didn’t pass the test. I gave him the book Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and other truth clarification materials. I also told him to recite “Falun Dafa is good and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,” which would protect him. A week later, he came back to work.

I spoke to two colleagues from Hong Kong about the protests there against the CCP. They were upset about the CCP restricting freedom in Hong Kong. One of them tested positive shortly after, but she had mild symptoms and recovered in a few days.

Another colleague had come to the U.S. from China when she was in middle school. She remembered that she had joined the Young Pioneers in grade school. I helped her quit it. In a few months, 12 Chinese colleagues had quit the CCP.

I also sent texts to colleagues who tested positive and had to stay home, telling them that reciting “Falun Dafa is good” has been known to bring about miraculous cures.

I also faced a dilemma: The company required us to be tested for COVID regularly.

Master said,

“True Dafa disciples have higher energy and are able to destroy karma and germs; they are emissaries of salvation in these latter days, and bring their wisdom to bear upon saving people as they share truthful information related to our practice.” (“Stay Rational”)

I thought that, as a Dafa disciple, we don’t need to be tested for the “CCP virus,” so I kept sending forth the righteous thoughts. I explained to people that I practice Falun Gong, which can enhance immunity and carry the energy that can kill the virus. My colleagues stopped asking me to get tested.

Our receptionist was assigned to take everyone’s temperature. Once I chatted with her, and she told me that she wanted to learn meditation. I told her that I do that every day at home and have practiced Falun Dafa for 18 years. She wanted to learn Dafa, so I gave her a flyer. She never took my temperature after that.

Telling People the Facts about Falun Dafa in a Chinese Supermarket

Many Chinese were very worried in early 2020 when the virus was spreading in China. I went with fellow practitioners to the main Chinese supermarket in our area every weekend to tell people about the truth and give them “Falun Dafa is good” amulets. Many people actually asked for the amulets, which had never happened before. One person asked for five for his family.

When the virus spread to the U.S., we didn’t have a clear understanding about whether to send righteous thoughts to thwart it.

Master then published the “Stay Rational” and told us:

“You are not here to change history, but rather, to save people at this most dangerous time in history, by raising awareness, persuading people to withdraw from China’s three major communist organizations, encouraging people to sincerely say the magic words, and so on. All of these are the best medicine possible, the best way to rescue people—when people’s morals change, things will change for the better.”

I then understood the pandemic and the urgency to save people. I participated in our weekly group Fa study. We realized that we had to go out to save people and not stay at home like everyone else to avoid the virus.

I went to the Chinese supermarket every weekend to tell people the facts. Worried, my spouse asked, “People are staying home. Why do you still go out?”

“Master told us to go out to save people. This is very important. If the local Chinese here all understand that this virus targets the CCP, they won’t catch it, and our whole area will be safe.”

“Then go and do it!” My spouse supported me after understanding the facts.

Social distancing made it harder for us to talk to people, so we distributed materials. Since tourist sites were closed due to the pandemic, practitioners who usually clarified the truth at those sites joined us at the supermarket.

We split into two groups and took turns from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. We displayed a banner that said, “Sincerely recite ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good’ to protect yourself in this disaster.”

I always felt a sense of mission when I stood in front of the supermarket. It is Master who tells us to save people in the face of the catastrophe. This is Master’s greatest benevolence to sentient beings!

People of other ethnic groups also came to the Chinese supermarket. We handed them the English special edition on the virus and flyers urging them to reject the CCP. They said, “I agree 100 percent!” “Absolutely! Reject the CCP!”

When Ms. Liu comes to buy groceries, she greets us with a smile. She has seen Shen Yun and clearly understands how the CCP has been persecuting Falun Gong and spreading propaganda to slander it. She’s told us that she has let her friends know the truth about the persecution and hopes that more people will come to us to get the information.

We set up a table outside the supermarket to help people to quit the CCP in August 2008 and have done so every weekend for 13 years. People didn’t understand it at first. The CCP spies also came to threaten us. With benevolent hearts, we stayed calm. We handed out the Nine Commentaries and explained to people the importance of quitting the CCP. We’ve helped over 7,000 people quit the CCP in 13 years.

Since I often picked up practitioners and drove them to the site, I became the site coordinator. We would recite the Fa on our way to the supermarket, send righteous thoughts when we arrived, and share experiences and discuss how to improve on our way back. We divided up the work: some search for materials, some print, and some create pseudonyms for people to use when they quit the CCP.

The current chaos in the human world shows that humanity is coming to an end and facing destruction. This is all caused by the communist specter. Out of his great benevolence, Master gives sentient being a way out. As Dafa disciples, Master gives us the mission to save people. I will race against time to cultivate myself well and save more people!
