(Minghui.org) Yin Ching used to be a shy girl with low self-esteem. She had lived a simple life in Vietnam with no desire to compete with others in society. She felt that she stood aloof from worldly success. But she always felt discredited and that life was tough. Feeling unable to advance in life, she would never have guessed that her life would be renewed after going to Taiwan to obtain her Master’s degree.
Yin Ching’s life changed the moment her roommate handed her a Vietnamese version of Zhuan Falun in 2020. Yin Ching flipped open the book and saw a picture of Master Li Hongzhi (Falun Dafa’s founder). She felt that Master looked very benevolent and compassionate. She started to read the book, and a voice from deep within her soul cried out, “This is what I have been looking for!”
Yin Ching was once lost and confused but found all the answers she had been seeking in the book Zhuan Falun.
Yin Ching said, “I’d read stories about Buddha Shakyamuni and Journey to The West when I was young. I knew that there were Tathagatas, Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara, and many high-level beings and Buddhas. The majesty and sacredness of the Buddha caused a yearning in my heart, but I knew that the realm of Buddha is far from the level of humans!
“When I grew up, I saw a monk who had practiced cultivation and had an indestructible Vajra body. The monk had died but his body did not decay. I then read many articles about this and understood that if one cultivates, he will not have to go through the six paths of reincarnation and will not have to experience the suffering of birth, old age, illness, and death.”
Yin Ching remembers holding a thought for cultivation at a very young age, but her dad told her that if everyone became a monk or nun no one would work, and how would society move forward? Who would support the family?
“But after reading the book Zhuan Falun, I enlightened to the fact that cultivation is not just a formality, but it is about cultivating one’s heart. I can still cultivate and work in this human world, amidst the complicated social environment, without having to go to a monastery or becoming a nun,” she said.
What is cultivation? Thinking back over all the twists and turns she encountered throughout her life, Yin Ching finally found all of the answers she had been seeking in the book Zhuan Falun. She understood why she had suffered so much. Her way of thinking changed for the better after she understood and enlightened to the true meaning of life.
She said, “I was always bullied, looked down upon, and people also thought I was slow-witted and mindless. So I’d blame the heavens and complain about how much I was suffering. I was unhappy every day. After cultivating Falun Dafa, I knew that this was karma accumulated because I had treated others badly in a past lifetime. Perhaps if we look back in history, I treated them even worse. I started to abide by the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and did not compete for gain. I would think of others before thinking about myself and would always find my own shortcomings. I realized that I no longer held any grudges against people. I know how to truly be a better person. After letting go of all of my attachments, I’ve gained more things because of cultivating Falun Dafa. My life is now smoother and I need not spend so much time on my studies because Master has unlocked my wisdom.”
Happiness has returned to her life, and she has realized that fame, fortune, love, and hatred cannot be brought along at birth or carried after death. Only by truly cultivating one’s xinxing can one improve and have true inner peace.
Yin Ching stated: “Where I used to live, billionaires would spend a ton of money, praying to Buddhas and listening to monks deciphering the Buddhist scriptures. They would never be able to meet a true Buddha or have the chance to understand the universe’s principles. If these billionaires encountered a bad monastery, they would be asked to donate millions of dollars. After encountering Falun Dafa, I realized that regardless of whether one is poor or rich, each life is bound to repay its karma through karmic retribution and will continue to suffer. Only by cultivating Falun Dafa can one be truly saved.
Yin Ching has read Zhuan Falun many times. While constantly improving her xinxing, her wisdom was unlocked and she became healthier. “It was hard and tiring for me to practice the second exercise in the beginning, since both of my arms and legs were shaking. My body felt very heavy, but just as I set my heart to practice the exercises well, I did not feel tired anymore.
“A significant change for me was that in the past I would always have to wake up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and I would also get headaches if I did not take a nap in the afternoon. After cultivating Falun Dafa, none of these symptoms appeared, and I was able to sleep through the night.”
Yin Ching practices the fifth exercise of Falun Dafa, the meditation.
Yin Ching realized that her body has become purer, and she has also found the beauty of looking inward. “When I look inward and find my own shortcomings and get rid of all my bad notions and thoughts, I find inner peace and feel very calm. Studying the Fa has also improved my character and when my cultivation state is very good, I feel very comfortable when I practice the exercises. I know that only by completely entrusting myself to Master and looking inward can I improve faster.”
Yin Ching felt moved to tears when thinking that she was able to board the Fa boat during the Last Havoc. She wants to tell predestined people in this world that to be able to cultivate Falun Dafa is the most fortunate thing in this universe!
“Though we play different roles, such as teachers, doctors, students, workers, authors, and other occupations, nothing is as important as cultivation. A historic responsibility is entrusted to us, and this is also an opportunity given to us by the heavens. I hope that everyone will understand the truth and be the most blessed and fortunate beings in the universe!”
