Sweden: Falun Dafa Practitioners Held Events Calling for the Chinese Regime's 22-Year-Long Persecution to End

(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held events in Stockholm on July 17 to condemn the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) 22-year-long persecution. Their activities were praised and many people signed a petition to condemn the persecution.

At 9 a.m. on July 20, 2021, practitioners once again gathered in front of the Chinese Embassy in Sweden to protest against the CCP’s 22-year-long persecution of Falun Dafa. They also exposed the CCP’s crime of harvesting organs from practitioners while they are still alive.

“What You Do Is the Best Thing in the World”

During the event next to the Parliament Building in downtown Stockholm, artist Charlotte said that she met practitioners there last winter and learned about Falun Dafa. Six months later, Charlotte revisited the place and talked to practitioners again. 

She said, “I am very happy to see you again. I recently attended a big gathering near the parliament. I met some people from all walks of life in Sweden’s mainstream society. I wish to bring them to support you.” Then she asked practitioners the exact time their clarifying the truth activity would be held in August and wrote it down.

Charlotte said that every time she saw practitioners, she was particularly moved. She felt that she should do more. She said, “Nowadays a lot of people only value material things. They don’t believe in the existence of gods and Buddhas. They don’t believe in reincarnation. They are being fooled by the CCP for their immediate economic benefits and money. You are helping people change their minds, so they can have a bright future. What you do is the best thing in the world, and I want to help you.”

Dansar from Poland said he was shocked and distressed when he read the details of the CCP’s persecution of practitioners on the display panel. “This reminds me of the Communist Party’s bloody suppression in Poland. Almost all of our parents’ generation were persecuted by the Communist Party, so the Poles have a deeper understanding of the evilness of the Communist Party. 

“Fortunately we Poles, after unremitting efforts, are finally free. It is a pity that the Chinese people are still under the CCP's rule and there is no real freedom, which is worrying.” He believes that practitioners' efforts to expose the CCP will let more people recognize its nature. He said that practitioners are doing the most righteous thing in the world, and he is especially willing to give help and support.

“We Must Help Stop the Persecution” 

A couple from Rotterdam, the Netherlands, was appalled to learn that such a peaceful practice and such kind people who believe in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance have been cruelly persecuted by the CCP since July 20, 1999, and even subjected to organ harvesting. They signed the petition immediately. 

The gentleman said, “I learned about the CCP’s persecution of human rights and information censorship on the Internet. The CCP has done a lot of bad things and extended its black hands to the international community, using money to bribe politicians in order to silence them.”

After learning about Falun Dafa, they believed that the CCP's persecution of good people is evil. “When we watched you doing the exercises, we all felt very calm and peaceful inside. This exercise must be very good for the body and mind.” 

Both of them were interested in learning the exercises. They sincerely admired Falun Gong practitioners’ perseverance in raising awareness to the world peacefully and rationally. “It's not easy to (clarifying the truth) for so many years. You are brave and great. We must help stop the persecution.”

Protesting in Front of the Chinese Embassy

Practitioners demonstrated the five sets of exercises in front of the Chinese Embassy. Using a loudspeaker, one practitioner introduced Falun Dafa and told people about the CCP’s crimes against people in China and the world. 

Måne, a middle-aged Swedish woman introduced herself and said, “My name is Måne. I have been to many countries and have contacted people from all walks of life. I have a very clear understanding of the evil nature of the Communist Party. 

“This persecution has gone on for 22 years. How can you tolerate it for so long? This is an extremely terrible thing!” 

She thought the Swedes were finally awakening to the CCP's true nature through this pandemic. “I and those I contact often discuss topics related to the Communist Party. We feel that many people now recognize its true nature. Everyone is awakening, and soon the CCP demon will be wiped out.”

Local Practitioners Call for an End to the Persecution

Local practitioner Gulli who often participates in awareness-raising activities said, “I am here today to call on the CCP to stop persecuting Falun Gong. I feel sad when I think of so many kind and innocent practitioners being persecuted by the CCP and even subjected to forced organ harvesting. This is absolutely unacceptable.”

Olga was introverted and had difficulty talking to others. After she began practicing Dafa in 2014, she has become cheerful and self-confident. She participates in the peaceful protest on July 20 every year. 

She said, “I think it’s important to participate in this activity. The CCP’s brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners has continued for 22 years! Over the past 22 years, tens of thousands of Falun Gong practitioners have been illegally detained and tortured, even subjected to organ harvesting while still alive. It is extremely evil! I must express my heartfelt voice and strongly call for the disintegration of the CCP and stop the persecution of Falun Gong.”

Johan, an electric energy engineer, learned about Falun Dafa in 2001 and read the book Zhuan Falun. “I immediately knew that Falun Dafa is good and that I wanted to practice it for the rest of my life. Dafa teaches people to cultivate their hearts to be good, and can truly enable people to reach a higher realm. This is what I really felt when I read Zhuan Falun for the first time.” He called on Chinese officials to stop following the CCP, step out of fear, and stay away from the Party for a better future.
