MFP Michael Brand of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) stated in his letter, “We are now truly on the side of the persecuted, detained, and re-educated minorities, religions, ethnic groups, and Falun Gong practitioners.”
He emphasized, “The CCP must stop the suppression and persecution of peaceful Falun Gong practitioners.” He thanked practitioners for their efforts to safeguard human rights, and hoped that the practitioners would persevere. He expressed his firm support to practitioners.
MFP Gabriela Heinrich and Deputy Chairman of the Social Democratic Party’s Foreign and Human Rights Affairs condemned the CCP’s state-sanctioned organ harvesting. She stated, “UN experts pointed out that there was evidence that (the CCP) has arbitrary arrests and forcible organ harvesting of Falun Gong practitioners, and this also involves Uyghurs, Tibetans, Muslims, and Christians.”
She said that she discussed human rights issues with China through various channels many times, and none of these questions were answered by the representatives of the CCP regime. “It is like talking to cement.”
In her letter, MFP Heinrich also thanked practitioners, “Especially when Falun Gong has been persecuted for 22 years, thank you for your hard work. This is extremely important. Even if there are difficulties, I ask you to persevere. Even if it is only a small achievement, it is very important. Thank you.”
MFP Margarete Bause, MFP Jürgen Braun, MEP Stefan Berger, MFP Gülistan Yüksel, and MSP Martina Hannen of North Rhine-Westphalia also sent letters to express their support for the practitioners opposing the persecution.
Professor Zhenhe Zhu, director of the Front for Democratic China (FDC), speaks at the rally.
In his speech, Professor Zhenhe Zhu, a member of the FDC, narrated the crimes committed by the CCP against the Chinese people, from its early movements to the Cultural Revolution and the June 4th massacre. “The CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong is large-scale, and the persecution continues to this day.”
Professor Zhu talked about the confrontation between two camps in the world. “One is the CCP’s dictatorship and the other is the league of democracy and freedom around the world. Now the biggest focus is the coronavirus pandemic, as well as Hong Kong, South China Sea, Taiwan, and Xinjiang. However, no one noticed the Falun Gong issue.”
“I think that in the confrontation between the two camps, the persecution of Falun Gong should be one of the focuses of attention. People all over the world should stand up and condemn the CCP’s long-term and large-scale persecution of Falun Gong.” He emphasized, “I call for an immediate end to the persecution and the release of all detained Falun Gong practitioners.”
Professor Zhu said, “We will always stand by the side of Falun Gong practitioners and expose the persecution until we get rid of the evil CCP.”
Haiyuer Kuerban, director of the Berlin Office of the World Uyghur Congress, spoke in the rally.
Chairman Dolkun Isa of the World Uyghur Congress asked Haiyuer Kuerban, director of the Berlin Office, to attend the rally and give a speech. Kuerban said, “The CCP kills Falun Gong practitioners and Uyghurs. The CCP brutally tortures Falun Gong practitioners and even conducts forced organ harvesting.”
“The only thing the CCP does comprehensively is to censor and lie.” He said, “All of us present must do our best to stop the spread of the CCP’s lies. The CCP must not be allowed to succeed.” He concluded by saying, “Righteous thoughts must prevail. We will not compromise.”
Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people have embraced the teachings—which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance as well as five gentle exercises—and experienced uplifted health and well-being.
Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline’s growing popularity as a threat to the CCP's atheistic ideology and on July 20, 1999, issued an order to ban the practice.
Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of practitioners as a result of the persecution over the past 22 years. The actual number is believed to be much higher. More have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith.
There is concrete evidence that the CCP sanctions the harvesting of organs from detained practitioners, who are murdered to supply the organ transplant industry.
Under Jiang’s personal direction, the CCP established the 610 Office, an extralegal security organization with the power to override the police and judicial systems and whose sole function is to carry out the persecution of Falun Dafa.
