(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 19 cities or counties in 13 provinces, where at least 45 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Gao Xixia and Ms. Sun Maoqin Arrested

Ms. Gao Xixia and Ms. Sun Maoqin were arrested by officers from the Yucai Road Police Station on June 26, 2021. Both practitioners are being held in the Hedong District.

2. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Xing Yanbo Held in Detention Center

Ms. Xing Yanbo was arrested by officers from Xueyuan Police Office in the Daqing Development Zone. She is being held in the Daqing City Detention Center.

Officer Wang pressured Ms. Xing’s daughter to write a repentance statement for Ms. Xing. They warned her that if she did not write, it would affect her children’s college education. Afraid of being implicated, Ms. Xing’s daughter wrote the statement against her will.

3. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Kang Qingxiang Arrested

Ms. Kang Qingxiang was arrested by Shuangmiao Township Police Station officers at the Shuangmiao Township farmers’ market in Xiajin County, Dezhou City, on June 13, 2021.

Twelve police officers from Linqing City, accompanied by officers from the Shuangmiao Township Police Station, ransacked Ms. Kang’s home from 4 to 6 p.m. that day. It is not clear what was confiscated. Ms. Kang is being held in the Dezhou City Detention Center.

4. [De’an County, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Ding Chunmei Held in Detention Center

Ms. Ding Chunmei, about 50, was arrested by De’an County police officers when she was working at a privately-owned pharmacy in the De’an Development Zone on the morning of June 18, 2021. Her home was ransacked. She was held in the Gongqing Detention Center.

5. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Harassed

Party secretary Gao Chunling of the Gongyuan Community Management Office harassed Ms. Yu Dongmei over the phone in recent days. Failing to convince Ms. Yu over the phone, Gao went to her family business. Gao told her to sign the three statements, saying that the 610 Office and the Political and Legal Affairs Committee told Gao to do this. If Ms. Yu did not sign the statements, Gao would have to turn her case over to higher authorities.

Officials in Tumenling Town in the Jiutai District called Ms. Liu Yufen’s son twice and said they wanted to visit him. He refused to cooperate.

Ms. Wang Guofen from the Jiutai District was harassed at work by two people from the Jiutai District Political and Legal Affairs Committee around 2 p.m. on July 1, 2021. They told her to sign statements and to videotape herself making a statement that she would quit practicing Falun Gong. If she didn’t, they would report her to the Commission for Discipline Inspection. Ms. Wang clarified the truth to them, but they did not listen to her and left.

6. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Cheng Shulan and Ms. Guo Yuzhen Arrested

Ms. Cheng Shulan and Ms. Guo Yuzhen from Xinmin Village, Changshan Town, Donggang City, were reported to the police for talking to people about Falun Gong at the Linjiatun farmers’ market in Beijingzi Town in October 2020. They were arrested that day by four officers from the Beijingzi Police Station. Ms. Guo was fined 500 yuan and returned home at 10 p.m. that night. Ms. Cheng was fined 1,000 yuan and taken to the Dandong Detention Center.

Ms. Cheng developed serious illness symptoms in the detention center, including high blood pressure, high blood sugar, and heart disease. After her son learned that his mother had been arrested, he went to the detention center and demanded her release. He told the guards, “If something happens to my mother, I will hold you responsible.” Ms. Cheng returned home two days later.

7. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Qu Yuzhi’s and Ms. Dong Heying’s Family Harassed

At around 11 a.m. on June 12, 2021, two days before the Dragon Boat Festival, Ms. Qu Yuzhi’s family and relatives in the Kaiping District were about to eat lunch. Two officers showed up and asked if she still practiced Falun Gong. They said that if she stopped practicing, she would be left alone and they would not bother her in the future. Ms. Qu’s younger daughter, who is not a practitioner, was frightened and said, “Stop practicing, stop practicing.” The officers left after writing that down.

Ms. Dong Heying’s daughter-in-law in the Kaiping District was harassed several times over the phone by officers from the Malu Police Station. They told her daughter-in-law that they were from the police station and that Ms. Dong’s name was on a list of Falun Gong practitioners compiled by the authorities. They said, “If you take us to find her and get her to write a statement renouncing Falun Gong, we will delete her name from the list and won’t look for her in the future.” Ms. Dong’s daughter-in-law refused to cooperate with them.

8. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Mr. Dai Qingping Arrested

Mr. Dai Qingping from Tianxin District was arrested at home by officers from the Dingwangtai Police Station on the afternoon of July 1, 2021.

9. [Beijing] Mr. Zhang Chengguo Held in Detention Center Over a Month

Mr. Zhang Chengguo from Dengzhou City, Henan Province, was born in 1990. He is a university graduate and works in Beijing. He was arrested by Huilongguan Police Station officers in the Changping District on June 3, 2021. The officers confiscated a printer, two computers, a large tablet, a set of Falun Dafa books, and printed materials.

He has two children, one over three and the other just over a year old. His wife doesn’t work and takes care of their children. He has been held in the Changping District Detention Center. His wife asked to visit him but was turned away.

10. [Shanghai] Zhang Xiaoli Monitored

The authorities arranged for four people to be staked out and monitor Zhang Xiaoli (gender unknown) outside Zhang’s home in the Putuo District for nearly 10 days. They followed Zhang, made harassing phone calls to Zhang, and also went to Zhang’s home day and night.

11. [Shanghai] Mr. Gu Linsen and Ms. Zhou Meijuan Harassed

Residential community security director Xu Jun knocked Mr. Gu Linsen’s door at 3:45 p.m. on June 30, 2021. Xu told Mr. Gu, “Falun Gong practitioners should not go out.” Residential officer Zhang Jichun then joined Xu and said the same thing. This was the second time they’d harassed Mr. Gu in June.

Ms. Zhou Meijuan lives in Anting Town in the Jiading District. In late June 2021, a young man in plainclothes who was staked out in the gatehouse of the Xinyuan Residential Community followed her when she went out. On June 30, residential officer Guo Yuliang and director Wu Mingxian of the residential committee visited her home.

12. [Heyuan City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Dai Xiaolan Arrested

Ms. Dai Xiaolan from Longchuan County was arrested in Humen Town, Dongguan City, on June 29, 2021. Further information is pending.

13. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Five Practitioners Arrested

Village Party secretary Cai Shefang and over 20 others, including officers from the police department and director Liu Sen of the Baizhai Township Police Station, broke into Mr. Zhang Junjiang’s home and ransacked it on June 27, 2021. Mr. Zhang, Ms. Song Fengju, Ms. Guo Lianxiang, Li Jude (gender unknown), and Wei Zhenlin (gender unknown), who were studying the Fa teachings together at the time, were all arrested.

On June 28, officers ransacked the homes of Ms. Guo, Li, and Wei. At that time, no one was in Wei’s house and the officers climbed over the wall to break in.

On June 28, Wei was released. Ms. Guo and Li were taken to the Situan Lockup Center in the Quzhou District. Mr. Zhang was taken to the Situan Detention Center.

Ms. Song was taken to the Handan City No. 3 Detention Center, where she was denied admission for failing the physical. She returned home on June 30.

14. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Chuyan Arrested

Ms. Zhang Chunyan was arrested by officers from the Jinan New District Police Department on the afternoon of June 29, 2021.

15. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Xie Mingyu’s Family Harassed

Two plainclothes officers from the Fuyuan Road Police Station went to Ms. Xie Mingyu’s home at 11 a.m. on June 25, 2021. Ms. Xie’s non-practitioner husband was at home at the time. They asked him for his name and phone number and the phone numbers of his son and daughter. They left after getting the information.

The next day, the officers called Ms. Xie’s daughter and asked if her mother was there. The daughter said she wasn’t.

16. [Shanghai] Ms. Zhou Ling and Husband Mr. Chen Jie Monitored

Officials at the Hudong Police Station and the Hudong Sub-district Administration Office sent people to monitor Ms. Zhou Ling and her husband Mr. Chen Jie around the clock. Ms. Zhou and her husband were followed when they went to and left work. Their lives have been seriously disrupted.

17. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Ms. Liu Jiqing and Mr. Luo Liteng Held in Detention Center

Ms. Liu Jiqing was handcuffed and arrested while talking to people about Falun Gong on the pedestrian street on the evening of June 23, 2021. She has been held in the Macheng City Detention Center.

Since June, several practitioners have been held in the Macheng No. 2 Detention Center. Mr. Luo Liteng from Zhongyi Town has been held there for over a month.

18. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Guifeng Arrested

Ms. Wang Guifeng from Qingzhou City was arrested and taken to the Weifang Detention Center. The exact time of her arrest is unknown.

19. [Bozhou City, Anhui Province] Ms. Jiang Yunchang and Her Mother Harassed

Members from the Rugao City 610 Office, Jiangsu Province, went to Banji Township, Huji Town, Lixin County, Bozhou City, Anhui Province, to harass Ms. Jiang Yunchang’s mother, who is in her 70s, on the morning of June 24, 2021. They pressured Ms. Jiang’s mother to find her. Ms. Jiang was sentenced to eight years in prison and was released less than a year ago. They also told her mother to sign and fingerprint the transcript of her conversation with the police, which intimidated her.

On the morning of June 25, personnel from the 610 Office and Lixin County Police Station tracked Ms. Jiang’s mother’s cellphone and followed her. They located Ms. Jiang, went to her workplace, and pressured her to sign paperwork.

20. [Anyang City, Henan Province] Mr. Li Xianxi Passes Away Due to Persecution; His Wife Harassed

Mr. Li Xianxi was arrested on May 11, 2021. After being held in the Anyang City Detention Center for only a month, he was tortured to death. His cell phone store in Xinxing Street had not been open for about 10 days. On the morning of June 22, when Li’s wife arrived at the store and opened up, several police cars arrived. It is not clear what the officers said to her.

21. [Beijing] Mr. Zhao Shaokuan Monitored Around The Clock

Mr. Zhao Shaokuan lives in Liujie Community in the Changping District. Since June 30, he has been monitored by the community management personnel and security guards 24 hours a day. They also follow him when he goes out.

22. [Beijing] Several Practitioners Harassed

The Taipingjie Village security director and two police officers went to Ms. Zhu Suzhi’s home in East Leyuan Residential Community in the Pinggu District on the morning of June 21, 2021. Ms. Zhu was not at home at the time. Officers told Ms. Zhu’s husband, “If your wife is arrested again, you will be held responsible just as she is for the same crime.” Out of fear, Ms. Zhu’s husband pressured her to agree to a divorce.

Mr. Ma Zhanquan from the Taiheyuan Residential Community in the Pinggu District was harassed over the phone by officers from the Yuyang Police Station on the morning of June 27, 2021. The officers asked for his family members’ personal information.

Ms. Gao Lifeng from Daodi Village, Xiagezhuang Town in the Pinggu District, was harassed a week ago and warned that she would be arrested. Each year, for the past few years, she had been harassed once or twice and pressured to write a guarantee statement.

Elderly Ms. Li Shuwei from Hepingjie Village was harassed in recent days. Officers asked if she was babysitting children in her home and if she still practiced Falun Gong. Ms. Li was not feeling well that day and did not open the door. Two days later, the officers went to her home again.

23. [Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Several Practitioners Harassed

Ms. Sun Yajuan’s husband, Mr. Ma Zhiwu from the Xixia District, was tracked down and arrested by Guyuan City Domestic Security officers in June 2020. He was later sentenced to 14 years in prison. He has appealed to the Ningxia Higher Court.

Ms. Sun Yajuan mailed a complaint about the public security, prosecutors, and court personnel in Guyuan City in late May 2021. On June 1, assistant officer Rong from the Xihuayuan Police Station called her to ask her about it.

On June 18, Tang Hong from the Helan County 610 Office, two officers from the Desheng Police Station, and someone else went to Mr. Pan Yiyuan’s work unit and claimed that they were there to look into Mr. Pan’s archive files. Back in April, residential officer Wu Yahui from the police station called Mr. Pan and harassed him.

On June 22, five people (three of them in police uniforms), led by someone named Guan Libin, broke into Ms. Zhang Xiaoping’s son’s home to look for her. Ms. Zhang was not there and they left.

24. [Meishan City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Wang Xuezhen, Ms. Liang Xuebin, and Ms. Liu were arrested on May 17, 2021. The next day, they were taken to the Pengshan Hospital for physical exams and blood tests. They were then released.

After Ms. Liang was arrested on May 17, two police officers restrained her and took her key. That morning, they ransacked her home. They searched her home again the afternoon. No one was at her home that day. After returning home the following day, she saw her home in a mess. Her 2,100 yuan in retirement payments were confiscated, and that was the only money she had. Over 100 yuan in paper bills with Falun Gong content that Ms. Wang carried had been confiscated as well. All her Falun Dafa books were also confiscated.
