(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners recently held events in cities throughout Germany to promote the practice and expose the CCP’s (Chinese Communist Party) 22-year-long persecution in China. Many people signed the petition to demand the CCP end the ongoing persecution. Several people said they wished to learn the exercises. 

Practitioners set up a booth on August 29, 2021 by Lake Starnberger southwest of Munich in Germany. 

“The Persecution Is Horrible” 

Lake Starnberger (Starnberger See) is southwest of Munich and one of Germany's largest bodies of fresh water. Many wealthy people own properties along the lake. On August 29, 2021, practitioners set up a booth on the green lawn by the lake to promote the practice. The practitioners demonstrated the exercises next to a banner that said “Falun Dafa Is Good” and drew much attention from the passersby. Many people stopped to talk to the practitioners and learn about the persecution.

Sascha, a young consultant, and his friend stopped at the practitioners’ information booth. He said he saw practitioners demonstrate the exercises before when he lived in Toronto. He signed the petition because, “Falun Dafa is beautiful.” He felt that practitioners should be left alone to “live freely and peacefully.” 

“Practitioners are incarcerated because of their good conscience and their organs were stolen from them while they were still alive. This is horrible and people must take action,” Sascha said. 

Another man talked with the practitioners for a long time. He explained that he’d been to China for work and met with many business people. He researched why the CCP persecuted Falun Dafa and realized that the regime poses a threat to global security. The man said that the priority is to let more people, especially business people, understand why the persecution was wrong and the danger the CCP poses to the entire world. He wished to help practitioners so that the persecution would end quickly. 

Munich Residents Learn the Falun Dafa Exercises 

Practitioners set up a booth at Hohenzollern Plaza in Munich on August 21, 2021, and many children learned the Falun Dafa exercises.

Many passersby chatted with practitioners and expressed their support. Two people from Hong Kong and Japan said they knew what the CCP was capable of and signed the petition. They thanked the practitioners for their persistent efforts. 

A group of children came to the booth several times and asked what the practitioners were doing. The practitioners told them about the persecution. The children wanted to do the sitting meditation with the practitioners. While the practitioners taught them how to meditate, a woman brought her two children over to join the group. 

Information Event Held in Leipzig 

Practitioners held an information day event in Leipzig at the Kleiner Willy Brandt Plaza (Kleiner Willy Brandt Platz) on August 21, 2021. 

Leipzig was the largest city in the former East Germany and the writer Goethe called it “Little Paris.” The city was known for holding an anti-communism activity every Monday in 1989, which laid the foundation for the collapse of the Berlin Wall. 

Many people who were strolling outside enjoying the sunny weather stopped to read the information and talk with practitioners. A woman with two children listened carefully as practitioners explained Falun Dafa’s principles and why millions of people practice. The practitioners also described the CCP’s atrocities of removing organs from practitioners while they are still alive for sale to transplant patients. 

The woman said that she knew how evil the Chinese regime was because she had once lived under a communist dictatorship. She signed the petition and wished the practitioners the best. 

Soltau Residents Encourage Practitioners to Continue Their Efforts

The city of Soltau is located between Hanover and Hamburg in northern Germany. It has a population of about 20,000. Practitioners set up an information booth in the city center on Market Street (Marktstraße) on July 24, 2021. 

Many people stopped to talk with practitioners as it was the first time they held an event in Soltau. Most people had never heard of Falun Dafa before and chatted with practitioners.

Appalled by the persecution, many signed the petition and encouraged practitioners to continue their efforts.
