(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 5 cities or counties in 3 provinces, where at least 8 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Mr. Jiang Tao was arrested by officers from the Sihezhuang Police Station on the evening of August 17, 2021. His home was ransacked. He was placed in criminal detention. Further details are unknown.
Liu Xianghua (gender unknown) was harassed at home by six officers from the Kaixuanlu Police Station on August 19, 2021. The officers deceived Liu Xianghua into opening the door and intended to search the place. Liu and his or her family asked to see their search permit. The officers did not have one. When the family asked for their names and badge numbers, they did not tell them and left.
Fu Shengyuan (gender unknown) was harassed at home by community officer Zheng Lianxi and clerks from the community on August 24, 2021. They pretended to have come to verify the number of household members. When one woman used her cell phone to take photos, Fu stopped her. After Fu closed the door, they kept knocking. They finally left.
Ms. Wang Hefang was arrested by five officers from the Xinggu Police Station and the Security Division on August 26, 2021, when she was distributing Falun Gong flyers near the Pinggu District Hospital. Her home was ransacked.
Ms. Wang’s family received a detention notification on August 27. She was transferred to the Pinggu Detention Center.
Ms. Li Xuesong, 73, has not been seen or heard from after she left home on the afternoon of August 23, 2021.
Ms. Wu Xianglin, 87, was arrested for giving a Falun Gong keepsake to a female nurse. She was recently released after she was detained for seven months in the Changning District Detention Center.
Ms. Wang Wenxiu, 82, and her daughter, Ms. Wang Zhixia, were harassed by community deputy secretary Zhou Yan and the street Political and Legal Affairs Committee secretary at the end of April 2021. They did not open the door to the harassers.
They also did not answer the door when Zhou Yan and officers from the Bayilu Police Station went to their home again on May 7.
The two practitioners have been monitored for a long time by their neighbor, who was hired by community secretary Li Zhen.
