(Minghui.org) When I got up one morning, everything I heard seemed to be far away and muffled, as if something was blocking my ears. How could it be?
I panicked and thought I might be losing my hearing, as I’m already over 50. But I shouldn’t acknowledge these thoughts. How could I validate the Fa and clarify the facts to people without good hearing? I sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate these negative thoughts.
Nothing is accidental in cultivation, so why did I suddenly have this problem? I didn’t find the reason right away and started to do the Falun Dafa exercises. During the second exercise “Falun Standing Stance”, I remembered a scene from dinner the day before. A family member said something to me. I wasn’t in a good mood, and said impatiently, “I don’t want to hear it. I just don’t want to listen...”
The old forces took advantage of my loophole. I said to Master Li Hongzhi (Falun Dafa’s founder) in my mind: “Master, I was wrong. I must correct myself. I must listen to others. Even if what they say doesn’t fit with my notions, I must listen.” Perhaps, Master is using their mouths to give me hints to improve in my cultivation.
After I sincerely apologized to Master for my mistake, swish, the exercise music sounded loud and clear, and my hearing was back to normal. Cultivation is really so amazing and wonderful! Looking inward is really a magical tool that Master has given to us.
No matter what troubles we encounter in cultivation, we can’t follow human notions reflected in our mind and must eliminate them with righteous thoughts. If we sincerely look inward, we will definitely find the attachments. Even if we can’t find them right away, Master will help us.
Master said,
“These are all your own tribulations that we use to improve your xinxing, and you will be able to overcome them. As long as you improve your xinxing, you can overcome them. Unless you, yourself do not want to do so, you can make it, provided you want to overcome them.” (Lecture Four, Zhuan Falun)
Master’s divine power is boundless and omnipotent. It all depends on whether we can genuinely and solidly cultivate, and whether we have the wish to sincerely correct our mistakes.
