(Minghui.org) Ms. Zhang Junhao used to pass by Falun Gong stalls in Hong Kong almost daily, but never paid much attention to them. It was only after protests against the extradition law that she realized Falun Gong practitioners were the true hope of the world and the ones who bring light to people in the darkness. With the 2022 Chinese New Year right around the corner, Ms. Zhang wanted to express her best wishes to Mr. Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Gong and wish him a happy Chinese New Year.
Ms. Zhang is grateful that Mr. Li “taught you [Falun Gong practitioners] to be pure, to remain kind and uncontaminated. Your group just like a paradise in the human world.”
Learning More About Falun Gong During the Extradition Law Protests
Ms. Zhang grew up in Hong Kong, and for many years she passed by the Sha Tian Train Station almost every day. She often saw a stall displaying the pictures showing the persecution of Falun Gong in China and organ harvesting from live practitioners.
Ms. Zhang never paid attention to the displays. She was busy working and finding interesting things to do. “I barely paid attention to what was happening in society. I believed it had nothing to do with me. This mentality led me to turn a blind eye to the persecution that is happening in China.”
After the Umbrella Movement in 2014 (a campaign calling for a democratic electoral system in Hong Kong), Ms. Zhang found that the media outlets founded by Falun Gong practitioners including The Epoch Times were unbiased in their coverage of the events. “I am happy to see Falun Gong practitioners speak out for justice,” she said, “Without your support, Hongkongers would be really miserable.”
When she looked back on her past, she felt ashamed because even if she believed that the persecution of Falun Gong was happening in China, she didn’t go to support Falun Gong at that time. “I knew that the Chinese Communist Party was brutal, but I just never thought of supporting Falun Gong practitioners. I am very sorry.”
Discarding the Chinese Communist Party
Ms. Zhang said, “When the persecution of Falun Gong began, media all over the world repeated the propaganda spread by the regime, and no one spoke up for Falun Gong. Many people were deceived and thus resented Falun Gong.”
She felt that many people who resented Falun Gong blindly followed the Chinese Communist Party. They also mistakenly believed that loving the Party is loving the country.
“They do not understand that it’s exactly because we love the country that we do not want the Chinese Communist Party. Think about it, it is only a political Party. The government can be changed, while China cannot. No matter where we are from, mainland China, Hong Kong, or Taiwan, we all share the same roots of the Chinese nationality.”
“The Chinese Communist Party wants to destroy our [traditional values of] Confucianism. It wants to destroy our human nature and turn us into brainless ‘zombies.’” But once people “wake up,” it won’t be the same.
Organ Harvesting From Live Practitioners is True
Many people question whether the Chinese Communist Party is indeed harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. Ms. Zhang said she believes it’s true. She knew a man in Vancouver, who went to China twice for kidney transplants. “I think he should be very clear where the kidneys came from. He said they were donated, but how could you get a successful match in such a short time. How could you get the transplant right after you landed in China?”
“Many young people in Hong Kong died during the protests against the extradition law in 2019. But for people who died in mainland China [due to persecution], it’s even more miserable, as people may not even know about their deaths. When the doctors harvested the organs from them, they didn’t even use anesthetics, in order to keep the organs fresh. They are not human, but demons.”
As Ms. Zhang gets to know more and more about Falun Gong, she gradually changed her prejudice against it. She discovered that Falun Gong practitioners were not only upright but also brave.
She said, “Your Master is great. He teaches you practitioners so well. You are not only upright but also brave, which is very hard to do in today’s world.”
“In my eyes, [Falun Gong] practitioners are as pure as clear water. Your kindness comes from your hearts. It’s not something that can be pretended. I really want to praise Falun Gong, because you are really good. Because of Falun Gong, we still have justice in this world.”
Falun Gong Brings Hope to This World
Ms. Zhang believes that if there is a future China without the CCP, Falun Gong will be the cornerstone for the Chinese people to rebuild morality. She explained, “Everyone has inner beauty and kindness. Once it’s claimed, people will no longer be asleep. Falun Gong is awakening us, awakening the memory of our own beauty and kindness, morality, propriety, and righteousness. I’m truly grateful that there is Falun Gong in this world!”
She also thanked the newspaper The Epoch Times. “Currently only The Epoch Times reports the truth while other medias dare not to do so. I sincerely thank Falun Gong practitioners, thank you for upholding your principles (Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance) for so many years, no matter whether you are being suppressed, slandered, despised, misunderstood, or ignored.”
At last she apologized again for not supporting Falun Gong in the past. “I knew the Chinese Communist Party was evil, but I never seriously supported you, so I am also an accomplice to the regime. I am really sorry and yet thankful to you. I couldn’t be more grateful that Master Li introduced Falun Gong to the world and brings light to us in the darkest time.”
