(Minghui.org) I noticed that some practitioners in my local area have been using safety as an excuse to avoid participating in truth-clarification activities. Some are not even attending the group Fa study.
Some practitioners claimed that “All who should be saved have already been saved” and used Master’s words out of context as supporting evidence; some of them also said that Dafa information had been sent out to all the residential buildings, so there was no need to distribute any more information. Such statements have resulted in some practitioners stopping their truth-clarification efforts altogether or doing less to save people.
Some who did well in clarifying the truth in the past have slowly slackened off. They argued that the Fa-rectification will soon be over and that it would be a pity if they are arrested now for distributing materials. They also claimed that if they gave in under pressure after being arrested, they would ruin their cultivation. Therefore, they just wanted to do nothing and wait for the end of the Fa-rectification.
There is nothing wrong with paying attention to safety, but the merits of such depend on the starting point. It would be a big omission if one based their safety considerations simply on their personal safety, whether they will be persecuted, or if they will reach consummation.
The purpose of paying attention to safety is to do the three things more steadily and maturely, to better assist Master in rectifying the Fa, and to save more sentient beings. This is the base point for Dafa disciples. We can’t use safety as an excuse to avoid fulfilling our responsibility as a Dafa disciple.
All sentient beings are in danger, and Dafa disciples are the only hope for their salvation.
