South Korea: Tian Guo Marching Band a Hit at Community Celebration in Bucheon

(Minghui.org) The Bucheon branch of the Korea Arts and Culture Groups General Federation held its 14th Citizens Harmony Festival on October 8, 2022. The event showcases culture and citizens’ pride. This year’s theme was: “Citizens are the Owners of the New City.” Forty-eight groups participated and the Tian Guo Marching Band was given an award by the event organizer.

The weather was beautiful with a hint of autumn, so many people came out to enjoy the celebrations. Wearing Tang Dynasty costumes, the more than 60 Tian Guo Marching Band members were especially eye-catching and received favorable comments from spectators.

The parade started at 2 p.m. The Tian Guo Marching Band performed songs such as “Falun Dafa is Good,” “Delivering Treasures,” and “The Sacred Song.” Spectators along the parade route clapped. Many people took photos and videos of the band with their mobile phones.

People were curious and when they asked where the Tian Guo Marching Band came from, practitioners told them about Falun Dafa. When people learned that Falun Dafa is a cultivation practice for mind and body and is based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance, they thanked practitioners for bringing such goodness to them. When they learned that Falun Dafa is persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), they were full of respect for the tough persistence and courage that practitioners display while they peacefully expose the persecution.

After the grand parade ended, the Tian Guo Marching Band was invited to perform onstage. Their rousing performances received rounds of applause by the audience.

The event organizer gave the Tian Guo Marching Band an award for their performance in the parade and thanked the band for bringing such wonderful music to the event.
