(Minghui.org) [Editors’ Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one’s own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The universe will reward acts that are in harmony with these principles, while beating, torturing, and killing people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while doing evil will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing.]
I’m a 75-year-old Falun Gong practitioner in Shandong Province. For many years, I’ve been distributing materials and putting up posters in my village, to let more people know about the goodness of Falun Gong and how the Chinese Communist Party has been persecuting it.
A few years ago, I noticed that many of the posters I put up had been torn down by someone. In order to find out who did it, I put one on my window. The next morning, I caught the village security director in the act of trying to remove the poster.
“It’s you who has been tearing down my posters,” I said to him. Although I had clarified the facts about Falun Gong to him before, I reminded him again that everyone would be held responsible for their actions. When Falun Gong is being persecuted so severely, anyone who aids in the communist regime’s persecution would bring enormous karma to themselves.
The security director seemed to understand. He held out his hand and said his fingers had begun to fester not long ago and it was probably karmic retribution for tearing down the posters.
After a while, I heard from my neighbor that the security director’s wife developed a severe lung condition and he had to borrow money to pay for her medical cost. He quit his job and said he would never do anything to persecute Falun Gong again in the future.
