(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 10 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Cui Bing from the Nanpiao District was arrested and has been held in custody for over three months.
In September, 2022, her 91-year-old mother-in-law filed complaints with various organizations in charge of Ms. Cui’s case, including against the police station director and political commissar Hua, for depriving citizens of religious freedom, carrying out illegal detention, conducting illegal searches, and bringing false charges.
Ms. Cui was arrested at home by four or five officers from the Jitun Police Station in the Dayushan Area at 5 a.m. on August 19, 2022. At the same time that morning, practitioners Liu Quanwang, Zhang Aimin, and Dong Yanhong were also arrested. The four practitioners were held in the Huludao City Detention Center.
A few days ago, Dong’s father also filed complaints against political commissar Hua with various departments.
Ms. He Xuemei, 72, and Ms. Yan Changsu, 79, were arrested while clarifying the truth in the Chengnan area at around 9 a.m. on October 25, 2022. They are being held in the Yongxing Detention Center.
Ms. Yang Yunjie was tried by the Kuancheng District Court at the Changchun No. 4 Detention Center on November 21, 2022. She refused to cooperate and did not sign any paperwork.
Ms. Guo Lifeng is 56 years old. Her wages were frozen in May 2022. She went to the bank on June 21 to ask why her wages were frozen. She was arrested by officers from the Mudanjiang Agricultural Management Bureau police station. The police forcibly photographed her, collected her fingerprints and DNA samples, and recorded her voice. She went home at 7 p.m. that evening. The police also took 10,000 yuan from her but did not give her a receipt.
The officers also asked her to go to the police station every day to sign her name and fingerprint paperwork. Her wages have been frozen for more than five months without legal grounds. After her repeated demands, the freeze on her wages was lifted by October 25.
Six police officers in uniform went to Ms. Zhang Liping’s home in Heba Town, Datonghu District at 1 p.m. on October 15, 2022. They confiscated a copy of the book Zhuan Falun. Ms. Zhang’s mother was photographed. Before these people came to Ms. Zhang’s home, they phoned to intimidate and threaten her husband, and followed her husband until after 11 p.m. one night.
Mr. Chen Shuna, from Heilongjiang Province, went to the Feiying Auto Parts Co., Ltd. in Huangshan City, Anhui Province, to do odd jobs in August 2019.
Mr. Chen was taken from the dormitory on November 8, 2021 by officers from the local police station in the High-tech Zone, and Domestic Security officers. The police accused Mr. Chen of posting information about Falun Gong on utility poles in a residential community.
Mr. Chen was sentenced to one year in prison on July 21, 2022 by the Tunxi District Court of Huangshan City. His prison term ended, and he returned to his hometown in Heilongjiang Province on November 8, 2022.
It was reported that Ms. Jiang Lihua was arrested in July 2022 by officers from the Xinggong Street Police Station. She has been held in the Dalian City Detention Center. Her family is hiring a lawyer. Further details are not available.
Ms. Zhang Guiying from Changping District was reported to the police for telling people about Falun Gong at noon on September 6, 2022. She was arrested by officers from the Songyuan Police Station. She returned home that afternoon.
Two middle-aged men, who claimed to be from the sub-district administration office, broke into Ms. Liu Manxia’s home in the Yuelu District at around 8 p.m. on November 16, 2022. Both were wearing law enforcement cameras on their shoulders and recorded the entire process. One of them, whose name was Jiang Jibo, asked if Ms. Liu still practiced Falun Gong.
They called people who were waiting downstairs, and told them to come up. A tall police officer came in, and immediately grabbed two audio players that were in a room. Jiang Jibo then asked Ms. Liu if she had ever been detained, and threatened to take her away if she did not answer.
These people then went upstairs to check out her family’s computer and printer. They searched each room and asked her, “Don’t you have any books? Don’t you have a picture of Master?”
