(Minghui.org) In an article published on Minghui, “I Am Not Going to Interrogate Her Anymore!” it talks about two stories of police involved in the persecution of Falun Gong. One story tells about a police officer who decided to stop interrogating a woman any longer, while the other story talked about the officers in a different police station, including the chief, all now reading the Minghui website.
That reminded me of visiting a fellow practitioner in a labor camp ten years ago. The director of the labor camp once said that they read the Minghui website every day to learn about Falun Gong developments and the current situation. Of course, it was probably also to see if they were on the list of perpetrators!
As the main website that directly reports everything about Falun Gong, Minghui not only publishes a large number of persecution cases but also documents the crimes of officials at all levels from the central government to the street offices. Such information will undoubtedly become important evidence in holding the perpetrators accountable for their crimes in the future.
Therefore, it is not surprising that Chinese police officers at all levels, including those in labor camps and prisons and Internet police, as well as special agents of the Ministry of State Security, read the Minghui website.
For these officers, their initial purpose of reading Minghui was mostly to gather information about Falun Gong and learn about its development. With the increasing enrichment of content on the website, they learned more about current news, karmic retribution, the wonders of Falun Gong, and its broad acceptance around the world. Some learned how they have been deceived and now refuse to participate in the persecution any longer.
In May 2012, Minghui published a story about how a policewoman who specialized in monitoring Minghui quit the Chinese Communist Party. The policewoman visited her future aunt-in-law Tian during the New Year holidays. Since Tian practices Falun Gong, the officer told her that she worked at the local police department and she and several other officers took turns monitoring the Minghui website, 24 hours a day.
The officer said that she came to understand many things by reading the Minghui website over a long period of time and felt that Falun Gong did everything quite well, but she did not dare to quit the Party herself for fear that she would lose her job. Aunt Tian said, “You don’t have to do it publicly. You just have to take a stand if you want to withdraw from the Party in your heart.” The officer understood and asked Aunt Tian to help her quit the Party with a pseudonym.
Aunt Tian also told her to remember the powerful phrases “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” whenever she was in danger. She happily replied that she and her colleagues already did so whenever they had problems or difficulties.
