(Minghui.org) I encountered tribulations because I didn’t cultivate diligently after I was arrested for practicing Falun Dafa in April 2011.
My husband used to bring waste alcohol home from his workplace. When they couldn’t use it anymore, the workers often took it home to cook with.
My husband showed me how to use the alcohol, and I followed his directions to pour the alcohol into the alcohol stove. However, there was an explosion. My face was turned black by the blast, and the front of my clothes and the pants on my right leg were burned. My husband, who was working in the garden, and his severely deaf 80-year-old father, rushed in when they heard the explosion. My husband put out the fire on my burning pants.
Apart from my thumb and little finger, the rest of my right hand was severely burned. My index fingernail later fell off and my right knee was red and swollen. Several blisters formed on the back of my knee. My father-in-law tried to persuade me to take a break, but I insisted on cooking the meal after switching to the gas stove.
I realized that, as a cultivator, I should look within. I sat on the bed and tried to cross my legs in the meditation position but couldn't due to the pain. I started reading Zhuan Falun out loud. The pain disappeared after I had finished reading a chapter. Tears ran down my cheeks, and I asked myself why I hadn’t regarded myself as a cultivator when the accident happened.
I fell asleep after reading another chapter. I only got up to use the bathroom once that night, which was unusual. I normally need to use the bathroom many times during the night.
The next day, I asked my husband to break the blisters on my hands and legs and let the fluid leak out. It started itching on the third day, which my husband said was a good sign that it was healing.
I went to the neighbor’s house on the fourth day. She was wondering why I had disappeared for a couple of days. After I told her what had happened, she said that Falun Dafa is magical. From then on, she and her family firmly believed in Dafa.
I continued studying the Fa and sending forth righteous thoughts every day. I recovered completely within 21 days and all of the scars were gone. I once again witnessed the supernormal ability of Dafa.
