Diligently Saving People at Work

(Minghui.org) I work odd jobs to make a living and don’t have much free time. But because I am diligent and don't waste time, I do well at both studying the Fa and doing the exercises.

I also do well when it comes to telling people the facts about Falun Dafa. I have spoken to all my coworkers as well as any visitors I come across. I talk to people I meet on my way to and from work. I share the truth of Falun Dafa everywhere I go.

Cultivating and Validating Dafa at Work

I was a temporary worker at a plastic pipe factory over the last two years. I worked diligently and did not fight with anyone, even though I incurred many losses.

I was very conscientious about following the requirements of Dafa and let go of many attachments in this process. Both the owner and the factory president were pleased with me.

The owner was a Chinese Communist Party (CCP) member. After I told him the facts about Falun Dafa, he quit the Party and his whole family followed suit.

The factory president told a new employee who worked with me that I was the kindest person in the whole factory. I displayed the benevolence of a cultivator wherever I was.

This laid a good foundation for me to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa to people later. Furthermore, I am determined to save people and I know Master is helping me. Consequently, I have been pretty effective.

One of my factory coworkers had been a CCP member for over 40 years and was badly poisoned by it. Other practitioners had told him the facts about Falun Dafa and he had read Dafa information himself, but he just would not believe it.

I talked with him about Dafa and asked him to search for “the rock with words carved on it” (that foretells the Party’s downfall) on Baidu.com. He did, but again he did not believe it.

One day he fell, sprained his back, and could not work. I told him to rest and did his work for him.

I told him that Falun Dafa is especially effective in restoring one's health and about quitting the CCP and its affiliates. This time he listened and quit.

Taking Every Opportunity to Save People

The plastic pipe company was forced to close due to the government’s restriction on utility usage. I found temporary work at a chicken processing plant, which provided room and board for its workers.

There were two sections to the plant, one was a large workshop where the fowl were cut up and the other was a smaller area where the pieces were packed and frozen. I worked in the freezer area first and was later transferred to the large workshop.

I came across more and more people during my time there. I first told whoever was next to me about Falun Dafa. Most were then willing to quit the CCP and its affiliates. They responded warmly; perhaps their knowing side was happy at being saved.

Seeing my heart to save people, Master arranged for me the best job in the factory. I delivered plastic padding from the smaller area to the large workshop, which was very easy. While other people pushed heavy loads, my cart was very light. I gave other people a hand whenever I had a chance so that they could take a break, no matter who they were.

Likely due to the constant struggles in that environment, the people who worked there were mostly cold, selfish, cunning, and sometimes even bullied others. This, plus the fact that people are no longer constrained by traditional moral standards, meant that for the most part, they were far from honorable.

At first I could barely stand it, but one episode changed my attitude. Someone caused trouble for me intentionally, and I hated him for it and was very upset. I reported him to the supervisor and felt good about that, but my leg hurt so much the next day during meditation, that I was unable to last for even half an hour.

I enlightened that I had done something wrong and apologized to Master. As a cultivator, I should have thanked that person, because he was helping me elevate my xinxing. But I did not elevate my xinxing and created karma for myself. When I realized this, I made it a point not to hate anyone, even if they wronged me.

We should not think badly of those who do not accept the truth about Dafa and refuse to quit the CCP or its affiliates; we shouldn't even have one negative thought. We need to first make sure we do our jobs well. Then we should help others whenever we can and treat them with benevolence.

When I made the change, other peoples’ attitudes toward me also changed. They all said, “How nice you are!” “You do the best job of anyone here.”

Then it became natural for me to tell them the facts about Falun Dafa and ask them to quit the CCP. I had a bad impression of a certain co-worker, but being a cultivator I was still nice to him as much as I could be. One day he told me, “You are a wonderful person. You are not cunning or abusive.” When I then clarified the truth to him, he agreed to quit the CCP and its affiliates.

In this way, a person who was initially disrespectful of Dafa changed his attitude and quit the CCP. I truly realized the inner meaning of what Master said:

“Compassion can harmonize Heaven and Earth, ushering in springRighteous thoughts can save the people in this world”(“The Fa Rectifies the Cosmos,” Hong Yin Vol. II)

Some female workers saw I appeared young and began to try to guess my age. Some guessed 41 or 42, some said 46 or 47. When I told them I was 58, they were all surprised. I told them that cultivating Falun Dafa does wonders for a person’s health and also makes one’s body younger. I told them to recite “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” and quit the CCP. They all agreed.

I don’t miss any opportunity to tell people the truth about Falun Dafa at work. I spoke to people sitting across the table at mealtimes and to people I met when I washed my face in the morning.

Most people accepted what I said when I approached the topic from the angle of the pandemic. I fully realized that one has to first follow Dafa strictly and look inward when facing any conflicts in order to tell people the facts about Falun Dafa effectively. Any notion, human attachment, or demonic nature are obstacles to cultivation. One can get rid of them only by studying the Fa well.

It is Dafa that saves people. Without the power of Dafa, we cannot do anything. All we to do is speak. No matter how busy we are, we need to study the Fa well every day; I deeply appreciate this in my practice.

Be a Good Example to Create a Cultivation Environment

I began to do the exercises in the dormitory as soon as I moved in. One day someone who shared the room yelled, “Why are you doing that!” when I was doing the second exercise.

He then opened the door and yelled in the hallway, “He is doing Falun Gong exercises.” A few people came over and watched. I just continued. When I finished, I asked the person, “Why did you yell? It was not your business.”

He said, “My relative is still being held in Dabei Prison for being a Falun Gong practitioner. Don’t talk to me.”

From then on, I meditated on my bed in the morning and did the other exercises in the hallway. He eventually stopped yelling.

Later we had good conversations and shared snacks. Over time he formed a positive impression of Dafa.

Because of what I said and how I behaved, I helped some of my coworkers learn the facts about Falun Dafa and they changed their attitude about it. They all agreed to quit the CCP and its affiliates. Many did not want to see me leave when I did. The atmosphere in the plant had turned very peaceful. Indeed, it is like Master said:

“The Buddha-light illuminates everywhere and harmonizes everything.” (Chapter Three, Zhuan Falun)

Conclusion

Master wants us to do the three things well. Although it was difficult and tiring at times, I never dared to slack off.

I know this is our historic mission and sacred responsibility. We signed a vow to help Master rectify the Fa—that is how we became “a Dafa disciple of the Fa-rectification period.” (Teachings From a Tour of North America) – the greatest title in the universe.

We endured countless hardships over the millions of years, waiting and reincarnating. How can we get lost in the maze of ordinary people at this fleeting critical moment?

Only if we are diligent at all times can we accomplish our mission and fulfill our promise.
