(Minghui.org) In my interactions with fellow practitioners, I found that I tended to judge others with my own notions. I’d categorize different practitioners as having too much human attachments, harboring too much fear, possessing good enlightenment quality, staying diligent, or being too stubborn, etc.
Many practitioners in China share the same problem of passing judgment on others. Even some of those who have been living outside of China for a long time, but have not integrated into the western society or culture, also have such an issue. Instead of communicating with others with an open mind and mutual respect, they use their notions to label and define others, and then use their human thinking to enhance the notions. They are busy labeling and judging others, and in the end, they do not know what others are trying to communicate with them.
I noticed that for some practitioners, although they don’t casually comment on others, they may look down upon those whom they deem “not cultivating so well” and admire those whom they consider “diligent cultivators.” Those notions can cause division among fellow practitioners and also losses to the group.
Except for Master, no one can see the real situation of any Dafa disciple, and what we see is only the outward appearance.
More specifically, no one will know how huge and complicated are the factors behind a being, how far-reaching his history is or how microscopic his life is. We also wouldn’t know the complex and diverse existence of beings in various dimensions or the scope of one’s expansion. As we are still cultivating among ordinary society, we can only see things with our human eyes and we are unable to drawn any conclusions about a practitioner only based on superficial things.
We are all Master’s disciples, and Master is arranging the cultivation path for every one of us. Each of us is cultivating in Dafa and will have various states at different times. Each being has its various realms, which should not be the reason for us to develop human notions. There are different levels of the universe, all with different beings flourishing at that level.
We, disciples of Dafa, should cultivate ourselves according to Master’s requirements, look within according to Dafa’s principles, treat everyone, including fellow practitioners, with compassion, and view fellow practitioners as mirrors to remind us of our gaps and shortcomings – this is what we should do.
