(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 15 cities or counties in 9 provinces, where at least 26 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Xu Guizhen and Ms. Wang Shuhua, from the Fangzi District, were recently arrested when they talked to people about Falun Gong. They were later released on bail. The Fangzi District Domestic Security Division turned the case against them to the Kuiwen District Court. They were scheduled to be tried at 10:00 a.m. on June 8. The trial was postponed until June 20.
Ms. Zhang Juan, from the Ganyu District, was arrested by officers from the Ganyu District Domestic Security Division on April 16, 2022. She was held in Guannan County since then.
Ms. Zhang was officially arrested by the Haizhou District Procuratorate on May 24, 2022. She was then taken to the Lianyungang City Detention Center and held there.
Ms. Lin Fengzhen, 76, was arrested by officers from the Siwei Street Police Station, Jiang’an District on May 11, 2022. Her whereabouts are unknown.
The Wangsheren Town Procuratorate turned the case against Ms. Su Zhenxiu from the Licheng District to the Zhangqiu Court. She was reported for distributing materials about Falun Gong in her neighborhood.
Mr. Li Yinhuan, from the Yuexiu District, was arrested in late 2021. His home was ransacked. Mr. Li is still being held in the Tianhe District Detention Center.
Three officers from the Wansongyuan Police Station went to Ms. Ye Xiaofen’s home every day to monitor her. Ms. Ye was not allowed to leave home.
Liu Xinlan, an assistant officer from the Shanshan Village Police Station in Ronghuan Town, harassed Ms. Yan Hongyan and photographed her on April 24, 2022.
Officers from the Ronghuan Police Station and clerks from the Ronghuan Town Government and the Shanshan Village broke into her house the following day. They confiscated the photo of Falun Gong’s founder and tore down the couplets. Ms. Yan was not at home.
Various departments in Majing Town harassed practitioners repeatedly as part of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) “zero out” campaign. Ms. Xiao Jiying was threatened and harassed at least five times. Ms. Wang Jirong was harassed at least six times. Their families were also threatened and pressured to sign guarantee statements on their behalf.
Lu Jing, the village head of Majing Town signed statements slandering Falun Gong on behalf of Ms. Xiao and Ms. Wang.
Three plainclothes officers from the Chongli District Domestic Security Division broke into Ms. Zhang Min’s home on May 23, 2022. They ransacked the place and took her to the Chongli District Police Department. Ms. Zhang returned home that night.
Ms. Yan, from the Heping District, talked to a cab driver about Falun Gong on May 31, 2022. The driver followed her and reported her to the police. Four or five officers from the Xinhua Police Station broke into a practitioner’s home when Ms. Yan was visiting and arrested her.
A group of officers from the Mengyang Town Government, the Mengyang Town Police Station, and the Jiuchi Town Government went to Ms. Yang Congmei’s barbershop to harass her. They forcibly took her to the local government’s office, where three 610 Office officers were waiting for her. They pressured her to sign guarantee statements renouncing Falun Gong, which she refused. They threatened to come back for her.
Ms. Liu Yi and Ms. Liu Shuang were arrested by officers from the Liangyuan Police Station, Xishan District 610 Office, and the local Domestic Security Division. They were taken to the police station for interrogation, medical examination, and blood tests in the afternoon. The two were then taken to the Kunming City Detention Center. Their homes were ransacked. The police confiscated their computers, printers, cell phones, audio players, Falun Gong books, and Falun Gong materials.
Ms. Xue Jinhua and Ms. Fu Shuxia were arrested when they talked to people about Falun Gong on May 3, 2022. They have now returned home.
Officers from the Zhennan Police Station went to Ms. Zhao Yuxia’s workplace and attempted to arrest her on May 9, 2022. She was not there. On May 12, a group of police went to Ms. Zhao’s home again, but she was not at home.
Mr. Shao Dawei was arrested by officers from the Zhenbei Police Station when he posted Falun Gong stickers on May 13, 2022. Mr. Shao returned home after being held for five days.
A group of officers went to Ms. Liu Shujuan’s home on May 16, 2022. They ransacked her home and confiscated her personal belongings. They then took Ms. Liu and her husband to the police station. Her husband returned home that night. Ms. Liu was released the following day.
Mr. Wu Xianjin and his wife, from Dajing Town, were arrested on May 31, 2022. Further information is pending.
Ms. Sun Jing was arrested on May 29, 2022. Her home was ransacked that day. Her whereabouts are unknown.
Another practitioner, whose name is unknown, was arrested at the Xinhua market on the same day. Further information is pending.
Ms. Yang Xiaozhi from Qingyuan County was arrested by the Huangqi Town Police Station on March 10, 2021. She was sentenced to six months by the Tieling City Changtu Court on August 30, 2021. The prison refused to admit her due to her high blood pressure.
She was taken to the Teiling City Detention Center despite her high systolic blood pressure of 240 on December 7, 2021.
Ms. Yang was released on May 31, 2022.
