(Minghui.org) Two families in China shared the same wish. They wanted to make a precious gift for Master and wish Master a Happy Birthday. They were worried and did not know what to do since they neither knew how to write or draw, and had no special talents. Perhaps Master saw their sincere hearts and enlightened them to create something by using a special art form, paper quilling.
Paper quilling is the art of cutting paper into long thin strips, rolling and pinching the pieces into different shapes, and then gluing the shapes together to form decorative art. To create their artwork, practitioners used strips of paper that ran from 2 millimeters to 10 millimeters wide and 39 millimeters to 54 millimeters long.
With hearts of sincerity, gratitude and their steadfast belief in Master and Dafa, elderly practitioners, from the ages of 70 to 80 years old, began learning this new art form. They quilled a peacock and peony in three months and called it “One’s Wish”. They want to wish Master a Happy Birthday! In addition, they also celebrated the 23rd anniversary of World Falun Dafa Day and the 30th anniversary since the public introduction of Falun Dafa!
Practitioners felt they were helped by Master while they created the artwork. They always came up with a good solution or idea whenever a problem arose. They also received great help from their families. They wish to express their gratitude to Master for protecting and guiding them.
