London, England: Practitioners Hold Candlelight Vigil Outside Chinese Embassy, Call for End to Persecution in China

(Minghui.org) July 20, 2022 marks 23 years since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) launched the persecution of Falun Gong in China. Practitioners in London held a parade to raise awareness of the persecution on July 16, 2022. A group of practitioners held a candlelight vigil outside the Chinese Embassy in London, on the evening of July 20, 2022.

Practitioners held banners, meditated, and held candles to mourn the Falun Dafa practitioners who had been persecuted to death by the CCP over the past 23 years. At the same time, the practitioners also called for an immediate end to the persecution.

Over the past year, Falun Dafa practitioners from various areas in England persisted in clarifying the truth about the Dafa cultivation practice in London, the capital of the United Kingdom (UK), and other English cities.

The practitioners’ efforts are receiving more and more support from the British government and residents. This year, the UK passed a legislation which forbids British people to go overseas for organ transplants, especially China. The legislation does not allow any company or organizations located in the UK to provide China’s medical units with equipment and training that could be used for organ harvesting.

Thousands of British people have signed the petition calling for an end of the CCP’s persecution, and left messages to show their support for the practitioners’ effort to end the persecution in China.

Laila left a message saying, “Hail thee end of darkness…Bring on the light. One love.”

Sheila said, “Glad this issue is coming to the forefront!”

Nicolas said, “This (persecution of Falun Gong) is a disgusting practice, and the free world needs to shout loud that the CCP must go. Communism has failed everywhere and it will fail in China, and free the people in China to be themselves and stop persecution, torture and organ harvesting.”

Darina said, “We live in 21st century, this MUST stop!!!”

Eugen said, “End CCP because they don’t let people cultivate their mind and body. They (the communists) don’t let people in China believe in Truth, Compassion, Forbearance.”

Practitioners have maintained a continuous 24-hour peaceful protest outside the Chinese Embassy for over 20 years now. The practitioners have been holding fast in their demonstration, continue to practice the exercises, send righteous thoughts, and clarify the truth outside the Chinese Embassy round the clock.

The project coordinator, Ms. Gao, said, “Many practitioners have come to participate in this project over the past 20 years. Among them are practitioners from China, western practitioners, Vietnamese practitioners who have just obtained the Fa not long ago, and also practitioners who have just come to England from China. As long as the persecution does not stop, we will be at this place.”

That night, the candlelight vigil started at 7 o’clock and ended at 11 o’clock. Practitioners remarked, “We will persist so that more people will understand the truth.”
