Malaysia: Falun Dafa Practitioners Hold Activities to Mark 23-year Effort to End the Persecution in China

(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held rallies, group exercises and candlelight vigils throughout Malaysia to commemorate practitioners who had died during the 23-year persecution by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

They hoped that these events can help people learn the truth and bring the chief perpetrator Jiang Zemin to justice, disintegrate the CCP and end the persecution.

Practitioners held banners displaying words such as “Falun Dafa, Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance,” “23 Years of Peaceful Resistance Against the Persecution,” “Global Support for the Chinese People to Bring Jiang Zemin to Justice,” and “End the CCP’s Harvesting of Falun Dafa Practitioners’ Organs While They Are Still Alive.”

The practitioners also read a proclamation in Mandarin and English during the rally and condemned the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa and its crimes against humanity. The proclamation pointed out that on July 20, 1999, the Communist Party started the mass suppression targeting Falun Dafa practitioners. Twenty-three years have passed, but the persecution continues.

The proclamation also mentioned that nearly 400 million Chinese people have recognized the Party’s true nature and chose to quit it and its youth organizations. These people will have a bright and wonderful future.

Before the end of the event, representatives of the Falun Dafa practitioners submitted their letter to the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia.

Activities in Melaka Call for an End to the Persecution

In addition to the event held in front of the Chinese Embassy, practitioners in different parts of Malaysia also held a series of activities around July 20, 2022.

They demonstrated the exercises and held a candlelight vigil at Melaka’s Taman Bandaraya Bukit Serindit Park on July 10, 2022. Over 100 practitioners from different parts of Malaysia participated in the event and mourned fellow practitioners who were persecuted to death in China. The scene was very solemn and peaceful.

Mr. Li Baoyuan, a practitioner from Melaka said, “Many people misunderstood and thought that the CCP had changed. They do not believe that the regime has continued persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners. This event can help awaken people, so it is meaningful. If no one speaks out, the CCP’s evil will become more and more rampant.”

Ms. Dai Yulian, a local practitioner who works in the education system, said, “The CCP has cruelly persecuted Falun Dafa practitioners. The details really send chills down people’s spines! We call for this persecution to end soon and that the culprits be brought to justice!”

The weather in Sabah has recently been stormy. On the day of the event, the skies cleared and the sun shone. Practitioners held banners with messages such as, “Falun Dafa is Good,” “Stop the Persecution of Falun Dafa,” and “Help to End the CCP’s Live Organ Harvesting.” The atmosphere was solemn and peaceful.

Ms. Chen Dehui, a local practitioner who participated in the event, said, “I hope that people can understand the truth about the persecution of Falun Dafa and stand on the righteous side. I hope that the persecution will end soon.”

Activities Held in Selangor

In order to let people in other regions understand the truth about Falun Dafa, practitioners held activities at Taman Rakyat Park on the afternoon of July 16, 2022. They did the exercises, clarified the truth and held a candlelight vigil to commemorate 23 years of practitioners peacefully exposing the persecution, and to mourn fellow practitioners persecuted to death by the CCP. The scene was solemn and peaceful.

A Chinese man noticed the event and told a practitioner that he often saw Falun Dafa practitioners at tourist attraction sites overseas. He complimented them, saying that they have done a good job.

When an Indonesian man, Mr. Gunalan, learned that the persecution has gone on for 23 years, he said that he felt very sad. His children also said that they felt very sad. They all condemned the CCP’s criminal act of harvesting practitioners’ organs while they are alive.

Another Indonesian who came to the park to jog accepted information from a practitioner and learned that the event that day was held to mourn fellow practitioners killed by the CCP. He said, “I know about Falun Dafa and the persecution, I am a lawyer. A friend told me about Falun Dafa. We have a group on social media. I also know about the CCP’s conducting live organ harvesting. I will share this information with others.”

Mr. Mo, 65, has practiced Falun Dafa for 16 years. Besides participating in local activities, he has also been to other countries such as Hong Kong and Indonesia over the years to call for an end to the persecution. He said, “If we do not hold events like this, people won’t know about the persecution. If we do not go out to clarify the truth, we will be letting the practitioners who were killed down. We must persist and continue to clarify the truth.”

Mr. Mo said that we must persist and continue telling people about the persecution.

Mr. Liu Qingjie, 32, is a sales engineer and has practiced Falun Dafa for 17 years. He said, “We should let more people learn about this persecution because it is inhumane. We must stop this persecution and tell people the truth. If we do not tell them the true situation in China the CCP will continue to deceive the whole world.”
