(Minghui.org) I was arrested for talking to people about Falun Dafa on the street in 2017, while working in Beijing. The police interrogated me many times within a few days. They also took away my bag as evidence against me.
Since the Chinese communist regime ordered the persecution of Falun Dafa in 1999, countless practitioners have been arrested, detained, sentenced and tortured. Many were tortured to death or even killed for their organs.
As a Dafa practitioner, what I can do is to hold fast to Dafa and maintain my righteous thoughts. Facing the sudden ordeal, I did not believe I would be able to convince to the police that the persecution is illegal.
Some detainees said to me, “It’s just not worth it. Why don’t you just tell them that you will stop practicing and you will be released.” A guard said, “If you cooperate with the police and write a letter renouncing Dafa , I can deliver it for you.” I remained unmoved by their words and kept reciting Master’s poems.
Master said,
“Your body lies in prison—don’t be sorrowful, don’t be sadWith righteous thoughts and righteous actions, Fa is hereCalmly reflect on how many attachments you haveAs you get rid of human mentality, evil is naturally defeated”
(“Don’t Be Sad,” Hong Yin Vol. II)
Master also said,
“…Disciples’ righteous thoughts are strongMaster has the power to turn the tide”
(“Master-Disciple Grace,” Hong Yin Vol. II)
Facing possible indictment, I wasn’t afraid. I just had one thought, “no matter where I am or what will happen, Master has every means to turn things around. I know Master is with me and I will only walk the path arranged by Master.”
On the eighth day, the police came and told me that they had changed my criminal detention to 15 days of administrative detention. “When the term is up, you can just go home. We won’t come to pick you up,” they said.
The persecution was very severe in Beijing back then, but I was released 15 days later, thanks to Master’s protection and fellow practitioners’ sending righteous thoughts for me.
When I shared my experience with other practitioners, one of them asked me, “What was on your mind when you were detained?”
I said to them, “I just held on to this one thought, ‘Master has every means to turn things around.’”
