Villager Has Remarkable Health Recovery After Reciting “Falun Dafa Is Good” Prompting Another Villager to Follow Suit

(Minghui.org) I am a Falun Dafa practitioner living with my wife in the countryside. I have a close childhood friend, Wang Qing (pseudonym), who used to be a county town cadre. His job was to receive guests, using the 400,000-yuan yearly budget assigned to him by his superiors. His task would be considered completed once this guest fee was completely spent. As such, Wang Qing devised ways and means to exhaust this fund, including inviting his good friends and acquaintances to visit every year and traveling abroad for fun. Despite my efforts, he refused to accept the truth about Falun Dafa.

After his retirement, Wang Qing returned to his hometown and renovated his old home. He and his wife spent their days playing cards and drinking with friends. Their 15,000 yuan monthly pension enabled them to fund their carefree life. In 2021, Wang Qing suffered from severe stomach pain and consulted the county hospital. A medical examination determined he had colon cancer, and the hospital subsequently operated on him, removing more than 20 centimeters of his colon. While Wang Qing was recuperating in the hospital, I paid him a visit and advised him to recite, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” I also advised him to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to ensure his continued recovery. He reluctantly agreed.

After Wang Qing’s discharge and return to our hometown in March 2021, I invited him to my house for dinner. My wife asked him, “Do you still recite the phrases we mentioned earlier?” Wang Qing replied, “I’ve not recited it.” We felt uncomfortable on hearing his casual dismissal. From then on I stopped inquiring about his condition, as it appeared he was one of those who could not be saved.

In December that year, our neighbor who was close to Wang Qing paid him a visit. After returning, he told us that Wang Qing’s illness had worsened to the point he could not even drink milk. Although I felt sorry for him, I felt any further persuasion on my part would be a lost cause, and to let things take its natural course.

In the spring of the same year, another village friend, Li Ming (pseudonym), sought treatment at the hospital. Doctors diagnosed problems with his liver and gallbladder, and surgically removed two-thirds of his liver and his entire gallbladder. After a period of recuperation in the hospital, he was released home to continue his recovery. 

Li Ming worked as a cattle and sheep farmer, who sold his stock and often slaughtered his animals for meat. An influential local businessman, Li Ming resided on a farm more than 100 miles away from the village. One day, I met him by chance on a village street. His previous aura of confidence had vanished and one hand was constantly clutching his chest. I asked about his condition, gave him a truth-clarification amulet and told him, “As long as you sincerely recite “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” you will quickly recover and miracles will occur.” Li Ming happily accepted the amulet and agreed to follow my advice.

While herding livestock in his pickup truck, Li Ming would also monitor the surrounding mountain area and report back to the village several times each month. Two weeks after our last conversation, he returned to the village again, this time more energetic than before. He excitedly told me that while herding his sheep, he would collect Falun Dafa informational materials found on the roadside. Largely illiterate, he would consult his wife and children when he ran into words he did not know. His relative who practiced Falun Dafa also gave him an audio recording of Master’s lectures. He listened to the recordings diligently and found his health improving at a rapid pace. “This Dafa is really miraculous. I started reciting that phrase only a short time ago, yet my body feels full of energy. I know my belief in Dafa has produced this miracle.” 

Now, he spends time each day reading truth-clarification materials and listening to Master’s lectures. “I’ve realized that the cause of my illness and suffering was due to accumulated karma from butchering animals. From now on, I will no longer kill livestock.” He even quit his previous habit of smoking and drinking alcohol with friends and relatives. Li Ming declared to his family that he was learning Falun Dafa and clarified the truth to them. “After reciting, ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,’ my body was spontaneously healed, saving a lot of medical expenses for our family. The Communist Party says that Falun Dafa is not good, but my belief in Dafa restored my health. The Communist Party’s propaganda is all lies.” Convinced, his children agreed to quit the CCP and its youth organizations.

Li Ming’s family supported his efforts to practice Falun Dafa. His son commented, “My father used to glare at us fiercely each time we had a conversation with him. He would talk harshly to my mother. Dafa changed my father, and he has become gentler. Now I really feel the warmth of a happy family.”

One day in December 2021, Li Ming and I were sitting in his car when he casually asked, “How is Wang Qing’s health now?” I told him, that our neighbor had visited Wang Qing recently and heard his health had deteriorated badly. It did not seem like he had long to live.

Li Ming advised me to talk to Wang Qing again. “My belief in the goodness of Dafa brought massive improvement to my health. You should try and clarify the truth to him again using me as an example. Although my gallbladder and two-thirds of my liver were removed, I was able to recover completely.” I agreed to think about it.

I discussed our conversation with my wife once I returned home. Despite being a new practitioner, Li Ming had already cultivated a heart of compassion for saving others. In contrast, we had been cultivating for more than 20 years, yet gave up on Wang Qing the minute he said, “I’ve not recited it.” In fact, these words may have been spoken by the old forces, using Wang Qing’s mouth, preventing us from saving him. Similarly by using Li Ming’s mouth, Master was advising us to try saving Wang Qing again. To save sentient beings, one must not care about ordinary people’s grievances and use compassion to influence those lost in this world.

The day after, I called Wang Qing and asked about his health. Wang Qing told me he dared not eat anything and that the hospital had scheduled him to be admitted for observation. I said, “Do you remember the two phrases I told you about previously? And do you know Li Ming from our village?” Wang Qing replied, “I know Li Ming’s operation was more serious than mine. What is his current condition?” “Li Ming recently visited my brother and helped treat his sheep’s eye inflammation. He even drove to the village on his own to restock on coal briquettes.” Wang Qing was surprised, “How did he recover so quickly?” “He recited the same phrases I advised you to recite earlier. Unlike you, Li Ming wholeheartedly took my advice. He started reciting seriously a month ago, and although has yet to fully recover, he can perform most of his regular chores. His stamina has vastly improved. He suggested that you recite the phrases sincerely, just like he did.” Wang Qing repeatedly promised, “Yes, yes, I will recite it.” 

A week later, my wife called Wang Qing to follow up on his condition. Wang Qing excitedly told her, “I have been reciting the phrases over the past few days and I feel better. Previously I even had trouble drinking milk. This morning I was able to eat an egg, a steamed bun, and a bowl of porridge. Don’t worry, this time I will recite the phrases diligently every day.”

In less than ten days, Wang Qing’s health miraculously changed for the better. Even my wife and I found his progress inconceivable. After Wang Qing’s discharge from the hospital, I visited his home and presented him with truth-clarification booklets and an amulet. I suggested, “You should tell your family about Falun Dafa so they may also benefit.” He promised to tell them about the goodness of Dafa.

Many others in our village have experienced the miracles of Dafa. Yet such stories in writing are few because many villagers are illiterate, while others fear persecution from the CCP.
