(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 38 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Luzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yang Taiying Faces Trial

Ms. Yang Taiying will be tried in the Naxi District Court on August 4, 2022. Her two lawyers will defend her.

2. [Daye City, Hubei Province] Feng Xizhi Taken to Brainwashing Center

Feng Xizhi was taken to the Xialu Brainwashing Center in Huangshi on June 24, 2022.

3. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Nine Practitioners Arrested

At least nine practitioners were arrested on July 18, 2022. They are Mr. Ji Ruiling, Mr. Liu Yantao, Xiao Cui, Xing Jinhong, Ms. Deng Xiuying, Xing Jingyu, Deng Junxue, Mr. Niu Fuguo, and Tong.

4. [Yishui County, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Jinling Taken to Brainwashing Center

More than 10 people including Huang Baihui, director of the Zhuge Town Comprehensive Management Office, took Ms. Li Jinling by force to the Yishui Brainwashing Center around 5 a.m. on July 31, 2022.

5. [Jinyun County, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Zhou Saiying Arrested

Ms. Zhou Saiying from Wuyun Town was arrested a week ago. It is not known where she is detained.

6. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Eight Practitioners Detained

Eight practitioners are being held in the No.2 Detention Center. They are Du Chunxiang, Zhang Linying, Feng Yunjuan, Feng Lianxia, Cai Xiuying, Tang Zengye, Cheng Qiaoyun, and Chen Shuhua.

7. [Dezhou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Yang Xiqing and Mr. Shi Biao Arrested and Detained

Mr. Yang Xiqing and Mr. Shi Biao were arrested by police in Qingyun County on July 21, 2022. They are being held in the Dezhou City Detention House.

8. [Guan County, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Harassed or Arrested

Qingshui Town Police Station officers ransacked the home of three practitioners in Linqing City around July 28, 2022. They are Mr. Han Zhenling from Dongjiu County, Ms. Gao Shuzhen from Tangyuan Township, and Ms. Huo Shouchun from Wuhan Town. The police also arrested Mr. Han Zhenling and Ms. Gao Shuzhen.

9. [Yinan County, Shandong Province] Mr. Qi Yichun and Mr. Liu Chenggui Arrested

Mr. Qi Yichun, 66, from Dongjiazhuang Village and Mr. Liu Chenggui from Niuwangmiao Village were arrested by Mamuchi Township Police Station officers on July 31, 2022. Their homes were ransacked. The police confiscated more than 10 Falun Gong books and over 30 copies of Minghui Weekly from Mr. Qi’s home. They confiscated the posters from Mr. Liu’s home. Mr. Liu was released around 8 p.m.

10. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Qiu Rong and Ms. Yin Huan Arrested

Ms. Qiu Rong and Ms. Yin Huan from the Dongchang District were arrested in Lihaiwu Market by Lihaiwu Town Police Station officers on the morning of July 21, 2022. Ms. Yin Huan was released that day. Ms. Qiu Rong was detained for five days.

11. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Wang Dianjun Arrested

Wang Dianjun from Hongguantun Township in the Chiping District was reported to the police for talking about Falun Gong and was arrested on the morning of July 26, 2022. The police ransacked Wang’s home in the afternoon and confiscated 2000 yuan in cash.

12. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Zhou Guanghua Harassed

Mr. Zhou Guanghua from Aoping Town was harassed by police officers and town official Yang Shaoqi on August 2, 2022. He was pressured to sign a guarantee statement. His home was ransacked. They tore up his copy of Zhuan Falun and confiscated his Falun Gong books, a photo of Falun Gong’s founder, an audio player, and a video player.

13. [Beijing] Mr. Zhao Bingzhong Arrested

Mr. Zhao Bingzhong was arrested by Tongzhou District police on the morning of July 28, 2022, and held in the Fengtai District Detention Center. He was later bailed out for medical treatment.

14. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Yanqiu and Ms. Wang Zongrong Arrested or Harassed

Ms. Wang Yanqiu from Taipinggou Village, Sheli Township, the Acheng District, was arrested on the afternoon of August 1, 2022. Ms. Wang Zongrong was harassed at home by the police that same day.

15. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Xibo Arrested

Two officers from the Liyuan Police Station went to the shop where Ms. Zhang Xibo worked on July 28, 2022. They searched the place and confiscated her copies of Zhuan Falun and Hong Yin VI, two stickers, three copies of Minghui Weekly, two or three amulets, and paper bills with information about Falun Gong printed on them. Ms. Zhang was taken to the police station and interrogated. The police later took her to her home and ransacked it. She was given a physical exam the next day and was released. She was told to return to the police station on August 1, 2022.

16. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Lu Na Arrested

Plainclothes officers in Li County went to Ms. Lu Na’s aunt’s home and arrested seven people, including Ms. Lu Na, around 9 p.m. on May 15, 2022. They were taken to the county police department for interrogation. Ms. Lu Na refused to cooperate with the police. She was detained for about 40 hours and was released on May 17, 2022.
