(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners participated in the Eighth Avenue Festival in Manhattan, New York, on August 20, 2022. The street festival spanned 13 blocks in the city’s Theater District and featured more than 400 vendors selling eats, antiques and crafts.
Falun Dafa practitioners took this opportunity to introduce the practice and its principles to the public. Despite the hot summer weather, many people expressed interest in learning more about this traditional meditation and cultivation practice.

Paula from Toronto said she has seen Falun Dafa practitioners doing the exercises in a park every morning and she had always wanted to join the meditation. She came to practitioners’ booth at the festival to learn more about Falun Dafa. After taking a truth-clarification booklet and some Falun Dafa flyers, Paula said she would learn more about the practice when she got home. She was pleased to accept a handmade paper lotus flower and expressed her gratitude to practitioners.

Priscilla was surprised to encounter practitioners at the festival. She has seen practitioners in a park but had been unable to communicate with them because of the language barrier. Priscilla only speaks Spanish and was very happy to learn about Falun Dafa. She said she wants her daughter to find peace and thinks that Falun Dafa will help her achieve that.

Batricio and his friends were strolling around the festival when they stopped in front of the Falun Dafa booth. They listened to practitioners introduce Falun Dafa and became interested in the practice. They left their contact information so they could receive more information.
